Interlock Metal Roofing - Stanwood

It's been almost 5 months since we initiated a claim for an issue with our roof. Just called again...same old thing-let me look into it and get back to you. Apparently, the claim has been approved (coating is peeling off roofing) but nobody can seem to contact us about when we might expect someone to come out and actually do the work. A little communication would go a long way. Can't help but feel like once they got our money, we just don't matter!

The roof is very high quality and the installers where all polite and punctual. We had a ton of underlying damage to the OSB boards due to neglect by the previous owners. Interlock replaced it all with high quality plywood and the installers worked 3 long days to get it all repaired and the new roof installed. Overall, we're very pleased with our new roof and have gotten a ton of compliments from our neighbors.
The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars rather than 5 is because the installers damaged our siding and instead of letting us know about it, they glued it back on and it appeared like they attempted to conceal it. However, once we notified the Interlock admin about the damage, she got a repairman out the next day who replaced the damaged board and repainted it to match the house.

I am very pleased with the Interlock Metal Roofing system that was installed on our home. The entire staff were very polite, courteous and professional. The work was performed with quality in mind and done in a timely manner. The installation crew put in 4 long days and worked very hard. They were very meticulous about leaving our property very clean after they had completed the work and spent extra time looking for any small stray hardware that may have fell into the lawn. I just have to say it was a job well done.

Thank you Interlock for our beautiful new roof! Installation was great from start to finish. We have lots of neighbors walking by and saying "wow" and that it doesn't look like a metal roof. We are so happy to have our "forever" roof and to never have to re-roof again!

Yes, aluminum roofing is great, but install is nightmare. 5 years later my dogs and I are still ending up with cuts from material left inyard because they dod never lay out promised plastic sheeting. And 90% of roof overhang and mating with gutters leak in all directions causing MASSIVE rott and I don't know how to fix this without being able to get under roffing edges.I paid $60k for install and cannot pay some outrageous fee to hire them. Aside from I have list trust they do me right. Don't get tjis roof. It's not worth the problems you end up with.

Was very satisfied with roof until a vent blew off( in Alaska). Have had the worst customer service, they keep telling me someone is coming to Alaska but can’t give me a date . I have called every month since Feb. and still no answer, now I think they have my number so when I call no one answers. I’m truly disappointed, as if we had someone fix our roof it would discontinue the warranty. They won’t send any shingles for us to fix it, because at this point I could care less about the warranty. It is ruining the attic, and laundry room ceiling has fallen in because I can’t get it fixed. They said to put a tarp over it but the wind in this area would just blow it off. I’m am going crazy.

Interlock recently installed a new roof on our house. From the scheduler to the installers we found everyone to be of the highest integrity. Schedules were right on what they told us. The quality of the product and installation were top of the line. The installers were meticulous in their work. We have never had such hard working professionals do a job with so much pride. The finishing touches like covering facia wood to bottom make the roof a work of art. We cant say enough about how impressed we are with the installers and the roof. We now have a beautiful roof that will last our lifetime. I really appreciated the extra detail work on the finishing. Such as: flashing that extended beyond the gable fascia boards (ends of boards will no longer rot over a few years); flashing that came down the gable fascia boards ( will protect these boards as well); trim around chimneys; ridge vent cap; and other finishing touches.
When one of the skylights was removed they found rotten boards and a crack in the skylight. They repaired and replaced this skylight for me.
The crew was very nice and respectful of our property. Very hard working people that paid a lot of attention to detail.
We went with Interlock because we trusted Paul, the sales rep who came to our house and presented the product and price. He convinced us of the superiority of the product and installation. The price of the project was what I had budgeted and much less than other companies we had received a bid from.
Our neighbors have come over to tell us how beautiful the roof looks and that the installation did not bother them at all.

My orginal roof was done in 2003 same time as the house was built. I thought it's about time to change the roof and I came across this company. Interlock's process is very streamlined and the estimate was finished within an hour. Paul and Ross are really nice and they explained everything in detail and answered all the questions we got.Yoshimi is on top of everything, and made sure everything was going smoothly. Roof installation was quick and painless. The crew was really proficient, every day after the work is finished crew cleaned everything up left the workplace nice and clean.

I spent tens of thousands of dollars on an Interlock roof almost two years ago. After the install I have tried repeatedly to get them back to add additional snow guards. Zip, nada, nothing. Have contacted local office as well as through their website. No response. Does not bode well for any warranty issues.

Edit 5/17/22: Subsequent to this review I was contacted by Interlock and they came and completed the work. The installers have always been great and the product itself is great.

Edit 6/2/22: First time to test how well the roof handles hail. Many of my neighbors are replacing or repairing roofs after a hailstorm. Maybe ping ping sized hail or a bit smaller. Not a ton but enough. My Interlock roof actually looks quite good and I don't see much damage from a distance. Up close there are some dings. I'm wondering if there is a method of pulling these dents out?

We had a bad situation with another roofer who lied about having the materials, ripped our existing roof off, and then disappeared, leaving us without a roof in August. With Fall just around the corner (rain coming), we had to find a roofing company that would be able to install a new roof as soon as possible. We decided on Interlock because the product is guaranteed to last, and although the price is high, the appeal is that we will never have to replace our roof again for the rest of our lives. Basic shake roofs last about 10 years, and cost about 10k or more. I figured we would rather pay more once and never have to worry about it again. This roof is also so sleek and beautiful. We wanted an all black roof to match our black house. Also, I am told that moss and debris can simply be hosed or power washed off which is a very easy solution.
Interlock was very busy and had a lot of other jobs head of us, but Yoshi at the office communicated their schedule and did all she could to get our roof installed as an emergency situation since it had been raining and we were having some leaks in the garage.
The team that came to install the roof was a group of men who were very polite and efficient. They did most of the installation in one day, and came out the second day to complete some finishing touches. They cleaned up most of the debris, although there was a little left in a couple of the trees, but no big deal really. They accidentally took our push broom, and they felt so bad that they came out and brought us a new one. They were very kind and I really appreciated their thoroughness.
All in all, it was expensive, but compared to some other quote we got for a metal roof, it was pretty similar. I feel like we have gotten a good value for our money. We've only had the roof for a couple of weeks, so time will tell but so far I am very satisfied and would highly recommend this company.

While I can agree the roof is beautiful and people stop and ask about it, however, this company has never responded for quote request for our shop and we had issue and was needing to add to our roof (6 weeks ago) first contact was Scott (score) he said he would forward to installers- 3 weeks later called left message we have not heard from them, no response back,all we could get was their answering service, Finally, they gave us Sarah’s direct number called spoke with her told her what was needed she said she would see what she could find out, called back said she sent info to installers, 3 weeks later she did call us to see if installers contacted us, Nope, and told her she should be running the company as she is only person to follow thru. So they are happy to take your money but forget any service after. Can’t imagine trying to file warranty claim.

We thought it was time to replace our roof and had a decision to make, traditional composite or a longer lasting metal roof. As always, money was an issue, so we really did our research. A friend mentioned Interlock Metal Roofing to us when we were discussing our options and said how happy they were with their roof. I asked all the pertinent questions about metal roofs; is it noisy and can you still get cell service inside and of course, pricing. We got several estimates and decided to go with the metal/aluminum roof, partly on the recommendation of a satisficed friend and partly on the quality, design options, cost effectiveness (of never having to replace it in retirement) and warranty of Interlock Industries. They were able to get us a quote and on their schedule really fast and we had our new roof in less that 30 days from start to finish! It's beautiful and we will never have to worry about leaks ever again. We had one leak that we knew of, but they found a total of 4 leaks that could have been a disaster if we hadn't known and had them fixed. They were great and the installers were very professional and polite. We are now "also" very satisfied customers, thanks to Interlock! And we will be telling all our friend...

We replaced our composite roof with interlock cedar shake style shingles. It looks great, and the snow slid off when we got 14" this winter. I would advise getting the snow guards, which we were talked out of by the sales folks, or getting screens on the gutters, which the installer recommended. Overall the roof looks great, isn't too loud in the hard rain, and is made of heavy duty aluminum.

We were in the market for a new roof in 2020. We had four different contractors come by our home to see what we had, describe what materials and solutions they provided, and give us an estimate on the cost. Three of the four suggested composition roofing material (home currently had three tab) at varying prices and warranties. The fourth was Interlock, and they were the only one who provided a metal roofing solution.

Though all had good sales pitches, we focused on our concerns about longevity, reliability, maintenance, and overall curb appeal. One sales person suggested we talk with all the vendors and he would beat their price! We discounted his company - if he could provide a better price, do it up front!

We were leaning toward Interlock, as their product checked off all the concerns we had - especially the lifetime warranty and a one time warranty transferability- even though it was much higher in price than comparable composition roofing. We ended up choosing Interlock because it met our requirements and there would be no more roofing granules in the gutters and downspouts.

We waffled between choosing either the Shake or the Slate style, and eventually chose the Slate, mainly because it is more resilient when walking on the roof and has a sleeker profile. The installers were efficient and knowledgeable. The only hiccup occurred when the cover for our unused chimney had not arrived before they completed the roof - they were expected to pick up the final payment before they left, and since the job wasn't completed, we refused to do so. They came back on a Saturday to complete the work, and were paid then.

We have been really pleased with both the look and performance of the Interlock metal roof especially in adverse conditions - heavy rain, hail, and snow. We haven’t had any increase in noise inside the house during heavy rain or hail. When it snowed over 10 inches in two days, we were pleasantly surprised when the weather warmed up a degree or two, the snow began to slide off the roof in sections. There was no worry about the weight of the snow on the house. After it all slide off, we ended up with almost four feet of snow in front of our home! And it was fun to watch it slide off too!

Though it has been less than a year, we feel we made the right decision to go with a metal roof from Interlock Roofing. We highly recommend their product to anyone looking to replace their current roof.

We are extremely happy with our new Interlock roof. We made it all through the horrible Seattle windy rainy season with no leaks at all up in the attic. We have no more worries about all the leaves and needles accumulating and causing moss growth; everything just slides off. Perhaps most reassuring is knowing that there is a lifetime guarantee. Neighbors are telling us the roof looks great and we believe it will prove a tremendous feature when we sell our home when we retire. Kudos to all the great folks at Interlock who made this happen.

Interlock has a fantastic product! We were actually considering a more typical ‘standing seam’ metal roof- the kind you see on many commercial buildings- and we had gotten a quote for that first. Then, we discovered the interlock metal product, and really liked the look of it- and then the quote came out to be substantially less money than the standing seam roof! For our residential neighborhood, we felt the aesthetic of the interlock shingle style roof fit much better, and less expensive to boot! Plus, the 50 year one time transferable warranty was a huge selling point since it would help it hold its value if we sold the house. We happened to have our house reappraised after the install, and it seems to have really been reflected in the appraisal price.

The installation crew was a great group of very hard working guys! The one thing I would say- and this is probably true of many jobs- is to go through your contract and do a full walkthrough with the crew before they start work, just to make sure you are in the same page about what work is being done and where, etc. At the end of the job, our house and separate garage looked great, and on-site was all cleaned up well before they left!

Not long after it was installed, it got thoroughly tested- as we had the big snowstorm (it was funny to see that after a while the snow just slid right off the roof!), lots of rain, and then even 2 hail storms, one with marble sized hail. If you’re thinking that marble sized hail might dent the metal- don’t be concerned; The roof took all the beatings Mother Nature could throw at it and still looks great. Definitely recommend this company to others- I feel it’s worth the investment.

As a military family, we've moved A LOT. Finally, after years of service, we were in our "forever home" and it needed a new roof. Built in 1929, our house is a unique old beach house on Puget Sound. Wanting to be true to our home's history, we researched all sorts of roofing products and services over four years. At last, we saw a roof that stood out above all others, on a neighbor-house, up the hill. We talked to the owner who told us it was an Interlock Metal Roof. When finally, the day came for our installation, we chose black slate. It lends a European vibe to our old place. We just love it. We never plan to move again. And we never plan to roof again. We don't have to and we LOVE that. Not only that, we won't have to CLEAN THE ROOF AGAIN. And that's big. We just adore the roof. The whole team at Interlock including Ross, Paul, and all, were tops. I needed help in Feb 2020 to repair my 15yr composition roof. Interlock installers came out and put on emergency tarps, and quickly completed the job a few weeks later on schedule. One year later the roof looks good & performed well in the rain & snow. The slippery surface allows for self cleaning, so it looks good after rain or snow storms. The behavior in snow was very different than the previous composition roof since the snow now slides off, forming interesting shapes while it flows. Very satisfied overall.

Had this lifetime roof installed in spring of 2017. Installers removed flashing at gable and by the end of 2020 leaking occurred. Have contacted company Five times and “Angela will get back with you to schedule a technician to check it out.” “Angelia is not in office today, blah, blah , blah.” Still waiting for the return call from a manager, Ivan or Angelia going on 3 weeks. Quick to take your $$$ but fail to uphold the guarantee. Finally received call back after this post. Company sent out Tech who said he added flashing.. 2/2021 accumulation of rainwater in bedroom ceiling light continues.5 calls to service before Tech returns to take up panel(s) and replace barrier. 3/2022 4 calls to service before Tech arrives to replace barrier. 5 days later additional ceiling leak. 3 phone interactions before Tech arrives to do same. 2/2023 STILL LEAKING!! It doesn’t leak when it doesn’t rain. DON’T DO IT. For the cost of this roof you can have a new shingle roof AND solar panels. I see a pattern where this company sends out a Technician without a proper fix knowing the installation warranty is only good for 10 years.

I've always wanted a metal roof, given the area in the Pacific Northwest where we live, specifically in the Columbia River Gorge. Moss and weather are the enemies of all roofs in this area. But I hated the look of the typical barn style sheet metal roof. To me, it always made a nice looking home look like, well, like a nice house with a flat sheet metal barn roof. So when a new home was built down the street from us, and it had a superb looking Interlock Metal Roof installed, I was thrilled and couldn't wait to chat with their sales rep. Of course the "sticker shock" on the price of a metal roof vs asphalt shingles can be a show stopper to some, but I looked at it differently. A much superior and nice looking, long lasting metal "shingle" roof added value to my home that the competitors couldn't begin to match, and especially with a long, long warranty that can be transferred to another buyer. So in addition to a great looking, long lasting roof, I increased the value of my home significantly over a very long period of time. My only regret is that I didn't install this roof in 1993/4 when I had my home built. Right now I'd still have 2 decades of warranty remaining and I wouldn't have had the upkeep on the shingle roof I installed over 27 years ago. I've learned to not go cheap on my homes foundation or its roof. It's the 'ol pay me now, or pay me later thing. I guarantee that you'll not be sorry for making the investment in a Interlock Metal Roof. Unlike me, it's best to do so sooner than later..... Rocky W. Cowart

Over the years I've had two roofs put on at my residence and my rental they are as

beautiful today as they were when they were originally installed one which was installed about 12 years ago. I have had people say is that a new roof. And I have recommended interlock to other people in fact one of my co-workers purchased a roof from interlock. The only thing is that interlock said they would give me a referral fee and I have never seen it.

Tony and his crew were kind and professional. The total roof installation took less than a week, including stripping off two layers of old roofing and installing to new skylights. Very happy with their workmanship and our beautiful new roof.

Office staff was very informative. Management was available for questions at any time. Installers were professional and efficient. Very happy with our new roof. We had tudor brown cedar shingle put on.

When we purchased our home two years ago, we knew it was a matter of time before we would have to replace the weathered asphalt roof that had the algae/moss growth so common in the Pacific Northwest.

It was April 2020 - COVID lockdown was in full effect here in Washington. I contacted 5 roofing companies including steel roofing specialists, asphalt roofers, solar roof (Tesla), and Interlock. I quickly ruled out asphalt because of the issues mentioned above and focused on hard surface materials. I went with Interlock because of the diversity of color, shingle types, materials offered, and customer experience. The Interlock employees I worked with from sales to installation, were all very professional, responsive and focused on ensuring a great experience while in the midst of using new online sales meetings and conversations through masks with the installers.

I'm so pleased with the Black Cedar Shake aluminum shingles we selected and that were installed. After 5 months of wind off the Puget Sound, flocks of birds and fallout from the forest fires, the roof looks like it did the day it was installed. Hardly anything sticks to it and if it does, a light rain or spray from the hose gets it off quickly. The aluminum shingle won't rust like the steel could and it has lifetime warranty (50 years transferable, if I sell the home). They are also easier to manipulate and install when you have a number of unique angles and valleys on your roof.

People have commented how great it looks and I've recommended many people to Interlock.

They fixed my mothers roof. It was nice to work with them, and I appreciate them allowing an overbearing daughter to help with the decision making.

We had a standing seam roof installed this past January. I absolutely love the roof, and the installation was very professional. The roof looks great, and we got it done just in time for some heavy snow and it performed beautifully.
I did have a few problems getting my installation scheduled, and it seemed like it was harder than it should have been to get updates from Interlock on the status. That said, it all worked out, and we're very happy with the finished result. Not having to ever replace the roof again makes it worth the cost and effort involved.

Glad to have this new roof since January 2019. in my lifetime, will not have to replace again. House is well protected and this is a good investent in your home.

They were very efficient, friendly and fast. Our roof has numerous pitches and valleys with the end result is a beautiful roof which three years later people still slow down to admire.

Our new roof is great, installation was done very professionally and even though the days installed the heat here was (extreme), it was finished and cleaned up as promised.
Only bad experience was the need for better gutters after. We had a very heavy snow last winter, the snow fall was around 10 inches. Because of the (new roof), all the snow slid right off, but the weight took out the old gutters, I would suggest, adding newer stronger gutters with a new roof.

These guys are a professional operation. From bid to build, you get what you pay for, which is a Life-time roof. Very satisfied!

The crew from Portland (Rise Solutions) arrived early to drop off tools. They worked hard even in the rain. They answered all of our questions and behaved in a professional manner while working on our roof. On 6/1/18 our Interlock roof was completed. From the start of the job to the finished product, everything went smoothly. Glen Boss explained every detail of the project to us in easily understood language. Angela kept us informed of the details of arrival of materials & start of work. The crew arrived on time, & did their job efficiently & with excellent attitudes. They cleaned the area each day before they left. We choose the black aluminum that looks like slate. The roof is beautiful, & neighbors & passers by have given us many positive comments. We highly recommend this company & their product.
