MB Roofs

Please be warned: do not trust this company with your home or your money. In our experience, MB Homes—and specifically Jonathan McCord—operates without professionalism, accountability, or integrity. I would strongly advise anyone considering MB Homes to think twice before engaging with this company. Our experience working with them over the course of seven months—from November 2023 to May 2024—was marked by repeated delays, unfulfilled promises, and ultimately, a total lack of deliverables despite paying $20,000.

MB Homes assured us multiple times that a building permit had been submitted to the City of Johns Creek. This turned out to be untrue. I contacted the city myself, only to learn that no application had ever been submitted. This level of misrepresentation was either negligent or outright dishonest.

We also made six separate requests for engineering drawings needed for HOA approval. These were either ignored or met with incomplete documents not from the actual engineering firm. After contacting the engineers directly, we learned that MB Homes had failed to provide them with the necessary measurements to complete the work.

By the end of seven months, we had no engineering drawings, no building permit, no HOA approval, and no construction—only some conceptual sketches received months earlier. Despite these failures, MB Homes took our $20,000 payment and never delivered on the contract.

We lost complete trust in this company. We had to independently contact the city, the engineers, and our HOA to uncover the truth at every turn. Eventually, we had no choice but to take MB Homes to court. We won the case, and they were ordered to return our money—but have still failed to pay what is owed.

I was not impressed. He spent 20 minutes on the roof and said he fixed it. He stated he forgot his paperwork at home and wanted me to pay with him just writing a made up receipt that I provided pen and paper. I doubt he even has a business license. He did not get paid a dime from me.

MB Roof came out on short notice and fixed some damaged flashing that was causing a leak. They were honest and fair with their pricing and were able to finish the job the same day they came out. Chris was very communicative and explained what he was going to do and supplied before or after pictures of the work when he was done. I highly recommend MB Roofing.
