My primary residence’s roof was 19
Years old. So I contacted Matlock Roofing. They immediately came out and inspected the roof on Monday. Then Thursday we signed a contract and chose colors for shingles. We set a date for the middle of the next week.
The roofing crew showed up on Thursday. They were very professional and helpful. They replaced some old turbine vents with a top quality ridge vent. They redid all the flashing and replaced all the drip edge with a heavy duty drip edge. They worked until dark and came back the next morning for final inspection and double checked for anything they might have missed on clean-up. I am one very satisfied customer. The price was right. And the job was done right. Thanks Matlock Roofing.

After 2 estimates on new roof needed, Matlock R & C (owner) came by. He gave us the best price, other items we needed (no one else mentioned), install date & explanation of the tear off & install. We needed a full roof replacement, and he helped us figure out our way through the process with our insurance company. He was extremely professional, and I would absolutely want to work with him again in the future.
When it was time replace the roof, they had the roof off and replaced in a single day, even though our roof is an extra steep pitch. They cleaned up our yard and patio before departing. We had our roof replaced by another company several years ago, and this experience has been night and day better. I wish I had called Matlock back then. I strongly recommend them!

We have used David Matlock Roofing & Construction on two houses. The first time was a repair job while the second was removing the old roofing materials and installing new. In each instance David was more than willing to spend all the time necessary explaining not on what needed done but why. We were kept apprised of when the work would begin and notified as soon as it was completed.

The second job David did for us replacing the roofing was insurance related. David guided me through the process of what to expect during he insurance adjuster's inspection as well as filing all the required paperwork with the insurance company once the job was complete.

Worked with the insurance company and was able to replace my roof in a reasonable amount of time without losing quality.

Matlock has done repairs on two occasions to include yesterday. Last year when Hurricane zeta came through, we developed a leak over one bedroom. We had two other companies come and tell us we need a whole new roof. At that time, this roof was only about 5 years old. Anyway, a Matlock guy came out and with in about 10 minutes, isolated the problem and had it fixed within about a half hour. Not to mention was able to match shingles so you can't even tell there was any work done. Then about two or three weeks ago, we found a leak over our den. I called Matlock on Thursday of last week. A guy came out yesterday and was here maybe 20 minutes and had the problem fixed. Today, we're having torrential downpours and dry as a bone where that leak was. However, my wife found a leak in the kitchen totally unrelated. I called Matlock for tge new leak. Within 20 minutes, they called and told me it may be a day or two but they will be out. That to me is customer service. In my book, they are batting 1000. Thank you Matlock Roofing and construction. I have you guys on speed dial.

I suddenly had water leaking thru my ceiling in my master bath last week. I called Matlock roofing who came the same day & found a hole in shingles where a tree had fallen onto the roof a year ago. I called Matlock Roofing because I had a leak in my living room. Austin came the next business day and gave me an estimate. I decided to get a new roof instead of a repair. The crew were knowledgeable in what they were doing and finished my entire house and garage in less than a day. I had roof damage and rotted facia boards from a leak. I called and spoke to David Matlock on the phone. He came over to my house about 20 or 30 minutes after I called him. His team was very professional, and had the work completed and cleaned up 2 days after he came out to take a look. Nothing but nice things to say about all of them! Mr. Matlock came out, inspected, and gave me options with prices. I chose repair and his crew came out at the agreed upon time and completed the work in a timely manner. They cleaned up and swept for nails with a magnet. I'm not a roofer but the work appears to be quality work with no cut corners. Service was courteous and business like. A Great experience from start to finish. I had been putting this off because I simply knew this would be a nightmare. David Matlock really impressed me. I had multiple questions about the shingles and the warranty. What impressed me was He knew all of the answers on the spot and without hesitation. He really seemed to be 100% committed to our project. He assisted with color selection, (Certainteed Landmark Georgetown Gray) recommended using a thicker ridge cap (Cedar Crest) and set a start date. He arrived at 7:30 as promised and job was completed in one and a half days. They brought this fancy trailer out that raised up to my roof to catch the debris. It was amazing to watch this thing. When the crew left, the entire yard was spotless. I couldnt be happier. If you need a new roof in the Hattiesburg area, You wont be disappointed here. Id give 10 stars but 5 is a high as it goes. I had hail damage on my roof from the April storm- my insurance company denied the claim saying there was no damage. Matlock roofing was roofing several houses in our neighborhood so I asked Mr Matlock if he would mind looking at my roof. He looked at it and said "no problem, ill handle it". He met with my adjuster and got it approved! When the crew showed up, they were extremely fast and finished in just one day. They left my yard spotless and I love my new roof. Overall, Mr. Matlock & his crew did a wonderful job replacing our roof after hail damage. He came out, checked the roof for damage, took me through the steps my insurance company would go through once I filed a claim (my first ever as a homeowner), returned when the adjustor came & talked "roofs" (b/c I don't have any experience in that), & set up the repair process once the insurance company accepted the claim. Matlock just finished installing a new roof on our 35+ yr old home. He communicated with our insurance company and with us very well. His crew arrived early, worked all day for only two days, cleaned up after themselves, and interacted respectfully with our family. I couldn’t have asked for a better situation! Great work!
