After visiting several gas companies and fireplace stores I was unable to find anyone who could offer help with my project until I called Master Chimneys and spoke with Jamie Cutter about my project. Jamie was great. Master Chimneys was one of several opinions we got for our aging wood-burning fireplace. He was very knowledgeable and did a good cleaning / inspection of our fireplace and chimney. He was able to do the needed repairs that same day but did not pressure us. We are approximately 45 miles from Orangeburg but Jamie was willing to make the trip and did not try to overcharge us (unlike some other companies in the midlands area).

Raccoons traumatic!!! After calling all over Orangeburg to every county office; I got no where! Every agency pointed to yet another agency. Everyone refused to help me. I finally began to call critter ridder companies and chimney sweep companies they too refused! Master Chimneys to the rescue! They kept to their word and came the same day! After they removed the dead raccoons; they sealed up future entries, cleaned and even freshened up the to alleviate dead carcass smell! From now on I will only call them!!

We had a leak coming in from the chimney into our bedroom whenever it rained. We got a couple of quotes from different companies, but Master Chimneys were the ones who seemed the most knowledgeable so we went with them.

I am so thankful for Jamie and his helpers. I have three chimneys in a very old house. Needless to say they needed a lot of work. The biggest issue was the squirrels that were coming into the house through the chimney. Jamie removed all the squirrels inside and the nest in the chimney outside. He custom made two dampers for the other chimneys and corrected several other issues. He did all the work for a VERY affordable price. He will definitely be my go to for anything chimneys related.

11/10 guys, Jamie and Joe are personable top notch craftsmen and no nonsense. We needed a sweep and inspect of our wood chimney and they did a good job with protective measures and timeliness. Jamie was professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. I was able to get an appointment within a week of contacting him. He not only cleaned the chimney and replaced the gas logs but while inspecting the chimney identified a problem and offered to repair for a very fair price. No pressure, just gave the facts and provided pictures of the cap that I couldn't see. I definitely recommend and will use again.

Master chimney does excellent service for your chimney or flue. Joel cleans your chimney out until all of your ceroste is gone. Joel doesn't rush doing his work for. He explains what needs to be done to your chimney or flue also pipes. If I gave master chimney a try you should too because my chimney was a very bad mess

It was cold outside and in the Columbia area our energy company Dominion Energy has increased the prices exponentially… I wanted a fireplace insert to go into my hearth to cut down on my energy bill and because I was new to this experience of insert installations and chimney services I went online and Googled fireplace wood stove services. A long list of chimney company names came up and I called probably every one of them. Because of the time year they were all busy or were insanely priced. I went on the next door app and came across a rave review about this company master chimney with a phone number included. I called and spoke with Jamie who promised to not only fit me in his schedule but to also have me all installed by Thanksgiving. He sold me a really great stove that I’ve been burning everyday since I’ve gotten it. It keeps the house cozy , the wife and kids happy, and more than anything Dominion energy out of my pockets! Master chimney is very reasonably priced in comparison to all of the other companies and Installation was smooth as ever. I certainly look forward to doing business with them again. Thank you

Jamie is indeed a master at chimneys (pretty brave guy, too—lol). He arrived early, was exceptionally thorough and, in addition to repairing a stuck damper, cleaning everything out and even fixing some things that weren’t on the initial call, informed us about everything we needed to know to safely use our fireplace. Oh, and he even lit the fire for us!

Pricing was beyond fair and he worked hard to keep the area clean. Great job all the way around!

Our 1890s home has 7 fireplaces. Jamie came out and performed a thorough cleaning and inspection of our chimneys and fireplaces. He then repaired the brick / mortar on some of the chimneys, sealed around the flashing, and installed stainless steel chimney caps. Additionally, Jamie sealed each of the chimneys as we converted each of the fireplaces for non-vented gas logs. I appreciate Jamie’s expertise and his professionalism. He is courteous and he goes the extra mile to assist. Master Chimneys is top notch! We are dedicated clients and rely on Jamie for all of our fireplace / chimney maintenance, duct work cleaning! Master Chimneys is the only fireplace cleaning company I will use or trust with my fireplace. The first winter I spent in this old farmhouse, Jamie went above and beyond making sure the fireplace, chimney and wood insert were safe. He pointed our where there had been a previous chimney fire that the (as-is) seller didn't mention, but neighbors did confirm later. Jamie repaired the cracks and put a chimney cap on where there was none and he even showed me how to properly use the wood insert as I was nervous about it, having never used one before. Even in the middle of his busy season, he called a week after doing the work just to make sure all was well. In a world where people don't give personal service very readily anymore; Jamie proved to me that he and Master Chimneys do indeed...CARE about the customer...FIRST. As I said, Master Chimneys is the only chimney sweep company I will ever use. If I could give them more than 5 stars...I surely would.
