We had our deck and Paver Patio installed back in 2016. We have had zero issues and enjoyed every year of use. We finally had an issue this year when one of the rails going down the stairs became loose. I called and they had Nelson out here within a week. He not only came out to look at it, but had it fixed as good as new before I got home from work. Exceptional service!!

Maryland Deck Builders created an amazing design for our deck to cover the entire back of our house...Then they built a fence to enclose the deck and the rest of our yard. They maintained frequent communication with us throughout the entire phase of the project and were very responsive to our requests. They were a pleasure to work with and we will definitely have them complete future work for us! We Highly recommend them!

I've shopped around for a company to build my deck and patio for over a year and I have to say Maryland Deck Builders was the right company for the job. My project was not small by any means with a large deck, stone patio with a firepit and seating area. Nelson and team did a great job explaining the process, meeting with me multiple times to go over options and even during the project when we hit a snag with some of the stone colors with the distributer, Nelson came out to my house with alternatives to review with me.
Nelson was also very reasonable when we had to make some adjustments and wasn't focused on nickel-and-diming
us but rather making sure we were satisfied with the project.

A quality, reliable builder that you can trust! They built us a beautiful sunroom. The quality of their work is first rate. After several years some minor rot appeared around an outside door frame molding. Martin and Nelson responded right away and replaced it with rot proof PVC. They stand by their work.

Maryland Deck Builders came to our rescue twice! First project, Lee and the team replaced our aging deck with a beautiful new screened porch/deck. From the initial consultation to completion we were impressed. The competitive quote, the detailed blueprints, the building permits, the execution of the removal of the old deck to the build of the new one was flawless. Everything went according to the contract. No surprises. It's a wonderful, comfortable, bug free zone that is used both day and night. Watching the trees bloom in the spring or listening to the wind rustling the leaves in the fall. Also good for bird watching in the summer, conversations, meals, reading, listening to music, sipping coffee or wine and lots and lots of naps. Everyone Loves the Porch.

Our second project came about because of stray cats using an opened covered porch on the side of our house. Suddenly a fox started showing up in the yard at night. Called Nelson and explained our concern. In two days Nelson and the team secured the porch. The project extended to the small deck above the porch. They covered all existing weathered wood posts in beautiful white wraps and entirely screened in both the upper deck and lower porch. They added a screen door so we can exit off the porch but the cats or the fox can't enter. Wood ages right before our eyes that we never notice. The project gave our home a face lift that I didn't know the house needed. Now the side of the house looks just as clean and refreshing as the backyard. Plus, we now have three (3) bug free zones. It makes us smile.

I had great service starting out but after viewing the work that is needed to done to my deck I requested an estimate to be sent to my email. It has been 5 days afterwards and no email. I checked spam to verify and still no document from them. I called the number given on Google which sends me to voicemail everyday since Thursday 09/17/2021. I hope they can turn around their responds time.

Not very transparent. After giving us a quote, made us wait for weeks before finally telling us that our property would have a liability issue. Had multiple quotes with other builders as well but never ran into this issue. So asked to elaborate, Phil could not offer any explanations and just said 'we are not interested in your property' and hung up.

Maryland Deck Builders are THE BEST of the BEST!!!" Why? First, the PRICE WAS RIGHT!!!! They built my 12X18 second story TREX deck for almost 3K LESS than my highest of 5 quotes. Deck Builders without question goes to the top of the superior category for me.We had a new deck and fencing w/ gates installed .I can honestly say, that working with the owner (Nelson ) and his crew, has been the best experience I have ever had regarding contracting services. Quality of construction: I had a good feeling from the beginning when the quote contained a lot of details about how the deck would be constructed. We were not disappointed. The entire deck is perfectly square and level. Nothing wobbles and the deck feels very solid.

Price: we got a total of 4 quotes and theirs had the best value. We didn't have to compromise on features to stay in our budget.

Punctuality: every time Nelson gave me a date and time, he and his team arrived right on time. Construction was completed very quickly, with the majority of the deck being built in about 3 days. The entire project was under 10 days from material delivery to final walkthrough.

Cleanliness: the team always tidied up before leaving the site for the day. I didn't find a single nail or screw lying around. It snowed and rained a lot during construction, which caused some mud. They brought in soil, seed, and straw to fix up the muddy areas.

MDB and Lee has been impressive. Rates were competitive and craftsmanship outstanding. We purchased a 18*17 wooden deck. The staff used were timely, respectful and neat. My wife felt comfortable at home while they worked (I was unable to be home and directly observe their work). Next door neighbor even complimented on their steadfast and neat work habits. Lee responded to a few concerns we had with corrective actions. One recommendation is to include notation of a 3% fee on contract if using a credit card for a payment. We worked with MD Deck Builders to build a patio and pergola in our back yard. We are pleased and satisfied with the final product. Mr. Vines was patient and considered the multitude of pictures I copied from the Internet to help him "see" my vision. He returned with a design that met all of my "must haves". The crews showed up timely, worked diligently, and cleaned up daily. I have taught customer service skills for over 30 years; my standards are exceptionally high. From top to bottom exceptional service. We were is constant contact with Martin, our salesman/rep. Also Nelson, the owner and builder. We got a composite/PVC deck that was in line with at least 4 different companies as far as cost goes. What stood out was the communication with Martin and the craftsmanship of Nelson and his crew. These men like and take pride in what they do. Just an outstanding experience!

MD Deck builders recently (June 12, 2014) installed a 12 X 20' deck. It was a great experience working with Mr. Nelson Flores. He was very responsive right from the beginning enquiry to all the way till the final inspection and clean up was done. Mr. Nelson visited us in our house and went through the options we had and gave us a plan that we were comfortable both financially and as well aesthetically. The company also provided an electronic copy of the plan that Home owners can use for applying permission with their respective HOAs.
The company is electronically connected and is responsive to emails, calls and text messages. Nelson applied for the permit with the County and informed us immediately after approval. He also gave us a plan for the installation. Everything that was agreed to on the contract was executed. They started the project on a Monday and the work was done on Wednesday evening. This was in-spite of some rains delays. The deck looks great and the workmanship shows clearly. Adherence to County's codes was diligent. The company gave an year in warranty. The payment was done in 3 installments first on signing the contract, second on delivery of materials and the third upon completion of work.
We are very happy with the outcome and would gladly recommend MD Deck Builders and particularly Mr. Nelson for his professionalism.
