We contacted Marquis Roofing to arrange a quote on two older cottages and four smaller outbuildings. We had a rough idea of what the overall quote should be because we had done some prior research regarding metal roofing costs. Tom and Ben looked the property over and then he explained the estimate, time frame for completion, and they answered all our questions, We made the decision to go ahead with the project during the initial meeting.

The crew showed up exactly at the time they said they would. Project Leader, Josh, was absolutely excellent and kept us involved daily, He could not have been better in regards to keeping us informed at the end of the day, as different challenges were discovered and resolved. The initial site visit with Owner (Tom), the Quote received, the follow-up phone calls, they signed Agreement and execution of work all proceeded very smoothly.
We found Marquis to be knowledgeable and obviously well experienced. Their pricing was very competitive and the work crew was very talented, task oriented and efficient. There was no idle time with the work crew and they were very respectful to the occupants in the home.
Total job (including site clean-up) was accomplished in 6 to 7 work days and we received updates nightly from the job coordinator as work progressed.
We are very pleased with the quality of work performed and the appearance of the finished roof systems.

Marquis Roofing and Exterior Design just did a roof on both our house and garage and replaced our old, sad clapboards with new vinyl siding. They were quick to get us an estimate, happy to answer the many questions we had and did an amazing job on both projects. Both crews were hard-working, respectful of our property and did a great job cleaning up when work was complete. They were able to take care of some necessary repairs to the outside of the house and set us up with a framer to replace the doors on the house as well which really streamlined things for us. The price was more than reasonable and they truly went above and beyond our expectations.

Called Marquis Roofing for a quote, they responded promptly and walked me through options. After the proposal was signed work started quickly and on a friendly time table. The work progressed quickly with folks available to answer any questions that came up.

I was skeptical that the roof on our 1790 farmhouse could be completed in a day. The job on the ~4000 sqft home included installing about 1600 sqft of osb over barnboards, reflashing three brick chimneys and work around dormers where water was infiltrating. The roofing crew that they brought out was top notch.

I counted 20+ guys and 2 ladies who arrived in two vans at 8AM and worked with precision and pride on our roof. It was truly impressive to watch that many people working at once in a coordinated fashion and literally seeing the progress being made.

We have a garden directly adjacent to the house and we let it go for the season because we knew it would impede access to the roof. Normal plants/bushes are protected by big drop cloths, but Marquis will work with you if you have a unique landscaping situation that you need protected.

6PM rolled around and after about 10 hours of work they were done and cleanup concluded about an hour later. And when I say cleaned up, I mean, no evidence that 20+ people and a ton of roofing debris were on the ground an hour earlier.

Results-wise, the project was a huge boost to our home. Not only in terms of protecting the home, but also in aesthetic quality. Our barn had three layers of shingles dating to who knows when and because of the barn boards, the roof was wavy like a potato chip. Not necessarily sagging, but wavy. Easy to see from a distance. The barn roof is now much, much more "squared away" and matches the rest of the home.

The only caution I would say is when you call Marquis, be ready to get to work. We paid for our roof with invested funds, requiring a check to be cut and mailed. Marquis was literally able to deliver on the roof before the USPS could deliver on the check (a little over 7 days). In fact, the check to fund our project arrived the day the workers were here and I drove to Concord to deposit it. I hate owing people money, even for a day, so I'm glad everything worked out. I say this because if you are used to "slow" construction, these guys will keep you on your toes.

We will be working with them again to help us maintain other exterior aspects of the home.

Marquis Roofing did an outstanding job installing my metal roof. Quote was given quickly and was very fair and accurate. Marquis Roofing was the only roofing company that went on the roof to estimate the cost for a metal roof. Their roof estimate came in the best out of three, but the work was still top notch, and they did not cut any corners. Tom and his team are great and their work is fantastic. I did shop around and their price was comparable to the other quotes, but they offered the best warranty by far. I had my house resided by another company shortly after the roof was done and my dormer started leaking(not Tom's fault). Tom was right on it and even offered repair what the other company had missed. They worked together and now I'm good as new. That speaks volumes when they not only stand by their work, but will do whatever it takes to make things right.

I was very impressed with Tom and the entire crew from Marquis Roofing from the initial phone call through completion of the job. They were super responsive and accommodating to ensure the job was done to our satisfaction and on our schedule. We got several quotes on the job and Marquis presented a quote that was reasonable for the work we were looking to have done. Several other contractors never even returned my calls. When I made the initial call, I got an answering machine. While I was leaving a message, I received a call back from Tom which was very impressive these days. The estimator showed up exactly on time and handed us a quote while he was there. We actually signed the contract that day with the promise that the job would be scheduled within the next 2 weeks. Four days later, Tom called to schedule the job. I wanted to be present when the work was being done and he was again very accommodating to work within my schedule. I hired them because I accidentally clicked on their sponsored Facebook ad that a couple of my FB friends had "liked." Unlike other people I asked, Tom actually brought a ladder and climbed on my roof for a closer look, and caulked a couple of trouble spots. The materials were dropped off the day before. The crew showed up on time, worked hard and were done by 4PM, removing all shingles, lining my roof and putting on new ice barrier, new roof vent on the old section and then shingles, etc. And even reroofed my shed! Reasonable price, straightforward and good clean-up.

I highly recommend Marquis Roofing. They delivered in full all that they promised. It was amazing to watch the crew prepare, strip the roof of old shingles, and install the new roof. Tom and his business we were very responsive as my first request for quote. I had 7 separate roofing contractors to my home to inspect and quote for a new asphalt shingle roof install. Tom was patient with me until I chose the roofers who would perform the work.
Their pricing was very competitive, but were not my cheapest. However they were very, very close.
I made my decision based on detailed explanations of costs, benefits, process and materials of hiring their crew. Also that their reviews were perfect.
When they arrived, they arrived early (8:00am sharp) and finished the entire roof in one day. They were careful to clean up the area as though they had never even been there. Throughout the job they were communicative with me for any issues they identified and easily accounted for the end cost.
I would absolutely use Marquis Roofing for any and all roofing jobs I have in the future and I would feel completely comfortable recommending their work to anyone I know.

I discovered Marquis Roofing when I noticed a television ad running that mentioned they were doing a contest/drawing to give a free roof to a vet. I also investigated their website and BBB reviews. All reviews were exceptional--and there were a LOT of reviews!! I happened to mention to a work colleague that I was considering getting an estimate from Marquis Roofing. The colleague--an engineer with roofing experience of his own--told me he had actually hired this company to do his home roof. In fact, he hired them after his roof was done to do a roof on a building on our work campus! He told me I'd be happy with their work and price.

He was right. I was very pleased with Marquis Roofing from start to finish. Tom Marquis is very personable and got back to me every time when he said he would. I had a long list of questions I asked him to answer pre-hire, as this was my first solo and major home repair hire since my divorce. He was patient and answered all my questions without rushing me.

His inspector gave a good and thorough estimate--it was accurate once the work was done. His estimate, by the way, was one of the lower estimates I received.

Shingles and supplies were delivered a couple days prior to the work being done just as I had been told would occur. The crew showed up on the date I was told they would. Jeff, the foreman, stayed for the entire duration of the job and oversaw and inspected the work as it was being done. The work was completed all within a day--just as I had been promised. The crew worked well together--I took the day off from work to watch the process--and I was impressed with how efficient they all were.

Jeff took pictures periodically throughout the process to show me what was being done as I couldn't see from the ground due to the angle of the roof. Jeff was also patient in regard to questions I had as the work progressed. I informed Jeff that I had hired a bat removal company a few years back to install mesh over any areas where bats could get into the roof edges and that I hoped his crew would be careful not to disturb that work. Jeff made sure the crew was aware of this as they worked.

Jeff noted while he was up on the roof that the addition, which was added to the house several years ago, had a rubber roof that would also need to be replaced soon. In the meantime, he was good enough to install a bit of caulking around the worst areas to get me through the winter and didn't charge me any extra for it.

When the job was finished, the crew and Jeff removed all debris and the yard looked as it had before they arrived. I will have to replace the roof over the addition and a front cantilevered section of the house that has two skylights. Tom's inspector mentioned to me that I might not want to replace the skylights as that roof isn't really angled correctly/wide enough to properly install skylights (they have leaked in the past) and it might be better to remove them altogether and close in those areas. There are big windows on the front of the house, so I don't really need the light and it would help with cooling and heating of the house. I appreciated the honesty about this. I will be hiring Marquis Roofing again to do the other sections of the roof as soon as I can afford to do so.

Maquis Roofing replaced the roof shingles on my barn. Their quotation was competitive. The work took place on schedule, both start and complete. A competent foremen was provided to assure customer satisfaction. No add ons were applied to the quoted price.

We just had our roof cleaned on a house we just bought. The roof looked like it needed to replaced. Inspector suggested that it just needed a deep clean. Marquis came out and worked their magic, looks brand new. Moss that was an inch thick came off with no issues.They power washed the whole house and did a great job cleaning up. I am a Project Coordinator for a private boarding school in Concord, NH. I have recently started using Marquis Roofing on our campus after my own good experience at my personal residence. If I had to pick three words to describe Marquis Roofing, it would be punctual, flexible and affordable. It truly is hard to find good help these days and working with Marquis Roofing has been a breath of fresh air. Best part, most roofing projects are completed in a single day. Which has been very helpful when we need a quick turnaround.

You do not want a seasonal fly by night roofer & crew removing & replacing your old roof. This is why you hire Tom Marquis and his large crew to do the job. Our roof replacement required stripping 3 layers, replacing deck, replacing Velux Skylights, removing an old chimney, upgrading a vent stack and cutting a ridge vent. This was all done in 2 days by a competant, considerate crew that protected the property & cleaned up well after. Sometimes it is worth it to NOT take the lowest bidder, But to hire the most competant roofer in the area.

Called Marquis because my metal roof needed repairs. I was also interested in extending the roof over my exterior stairs, but the stairs needed to be rebuilt properly and I had not found a carpenter to do the job. To my surprise, their estimate for the roofing repair included rebuilding the stairs as well! They did a beautiful job, finished in 2 days and did not leave a single scrap of debris behind. Excellent service above and beyond every expectation. Call Tom; he and his crew are the BEST!
