Recently contacted Marks Roofing Ltd. They came the same day within a few hours to check out my leaky roof. That was a stress relief, and were able to come within the week, weather permitting to put on a new roof. Which was very impressive, in the busy roof time season we are in. The communication via text and email is prompt. The pricing is fair, and the workmanship is good. I have another roof that I need done and I will be contacting them for their services. I wasn't looking forward to the noise or cost but Mark's Roofing was very quick, reasonably priced and professional roof and gutter replacement. Very glad I followed my neighbours recommendation.

Marks completed our roof, skylight and gutters this week. We replaced old rotten cedar shake with new ashphalt. Their work was timely and professional. Communication was great with daily WhatsApp photos and updates. The team cleaned up the job site very well. Would reccomend.

I am very happy with the job that Marks Roofing did for us. They put a brand new torch on roof on a large part of the house that extended over our double garage. They even came back after the job was done to correct some water leak issues. Unrelated to roofing they interfaced with a soffit and downspout company to install a new gutter system which was top quality and reasonably priced. But in general the roofing job was also reasonably priced for a very good new roof which was also accompanied with excellent service during the job and as mentioned previously, excellent after job service.

I had Marks Roofing install a number of exhaust ducts on my metal roof recently.
They were fast and efficient, and very knowledgeable. This left me very confident in the work that they did .

Jaswinder and the crew did a great job on repairing/replacing our rotten fascias. Crew was friendly and worked their butts off to get it all completed in a couple days, all at a very reasonable cost. All garbage was removed and site was left as if they were never there. Would highly recommend them for any roof related work. Great job guys, would use you again in a heartbeat!

Mark was here the next day to check out the job and the crew was here the next morning but due to the weather could not do the work. Came back the next morning and job done. Quick and efficient. Will get them again when replacing the roof.

Sukh and his crew (regrettably I don't remember their names) worked hard to complete my torch down roof and skylight replacement. They dealt with some weather and scheduling challenges as can be expected for November in Vancouver. Sukh is a great organizer and goes the extra mile to please. The work was done with pride and professionalism. I had some concerns with the offered warranty period and manufacturer's certificate which were clarified to confirm what was stated in the contract.
I considered two other quotes from properly trained and insured companies and Mark's came out on top with regards to price and ability to start work in a timely manner.

we had bad experience with the other roofers we called in for the same problem. But when we called Mark roofing they reply right away and did a good job to put up a new roof. Also they put new vents on the roof for the air circulation. They treat you very nicely and give written estimates and receipts as well.

Sukh was great to deal with. 4 stars because communication could be better where scheduling was concerned. All issues were fixed and addressed and very little debris on the ground from the roof removal. I would use them in the future and recommend them, I just hope that two way communication with the client is improved a bit .

Been dealing with a ventilation issue in the attic and Mark's was able to help. They were quick. Provided a honest assessment and quote. Pointed out several non related issues to me that'll need addressing in the future. They added 3 additional vents and replaced the old incorrectly installed ones that were installed several years ago.

The Mark’s Roofing team removed our old shingles and installed a nice duroid roof. We added new gutters and had them paint the house too! We really like the new look. Mark’s roofing was efficient and the guys were pros. They also cleaned up well even using a magnet to find hidden nails in the grass. I highly recommend them.

Mark’s roofing was great! They completed the job on time, and had necessary contacts to cover off unexpected hurdles(painters, pest handlers, gutter suppliers etc) in a very timely manner. Came back twice to rectify minor items missed without complaint. Price was very competitive and workmanship was excellent. Competitors were 30-40% more and my roof looks exactly like the guy next door that went with a 30% more quote. 1 year later and no issues. I asked 3 other houses up the street before I selected them if Marks was good and they all had high praise. Marks is the way to go.

Marks Roofing helped us replace our leaky skylights. Sukhi responded quickly after I submitted a request on their web site. His team came the next day to check out our skylights and gave an estimate. Now, I have new Velux skylights, including one solar-powered "fresh air" skylight with a solar-powered shade. The new skylights are blocking a lot of the raindrop noise as well as the heat from the sun. While this is not a long-term review of the installation, I think the installation is a success.

One of my skylights starting leaking during a rainstorm in March 2024. I called Mark's Roofing the next day and Sukh answered my call and came by later that afternoon to assess the work. He determined that 2 skylights needed to be replaced (which I already suspected) and that damaged flashing was causing the leak. He took a lot of pictures to show me what needed to be done and gave me a quote. We agreed he should come by the next day with his team since it was only going to be sunny for about 3 days. They replaced both skylights and performed the repairs in a few hours. When they were finished, Sukh showed me the before and after pictures. We've had a few heavy rain days since the repairs were done and the skylights are holding up well!

I wasn't happy that his crew didn't completely clean up the debris on the sidewalk beside the house where they threw down the old materials. There was some broken glass from the old skylights and quite a bit of junk materials on the grass. I didn't notice it until a few days later and had to clean up the area so that no one got hurt.

Still, I was happy with the actual repair work. They were quick to reply, didn't charge for the estimate (unlike other companies), and were able to schedule my repair quickly. I would definitely recommend them as they were reasonably priced and performed good work. I would, however, recommend discussing your expectation of post-work cleanup to ensure it gets done.

Marks Roofing came out re our roof leaking . They quickly figured out it was the chimney flashing which was rusted out and as we no longer used that chimney I said give me a quote for removing the old chimney and roofing that spot over. Their quote was very reasonable. They did the job, cleaned everything up. Roof looked great and we have never had another leak! We previously had a big name roofing company come out charging $500. just to come out and look. 2 guys arrived and spent 40 minutes putting black tar stuff around a chimney flashings. The bill was $658. I called back after the next good rain and said it was still leaking . Never got a call back. Emailed and still not a call back, wasted $650 on that company. We highly recommend MARKS ROOFING. Very nice guys and no charge to come out and go on roof and give expert advice and different choices and prices on tackling the problem.

We had a leak around the skylight in the weekend. Sukh came in a short notice and performed an emergency repair which stopped the leak immediately. A few days later he came back again and replaced our broken tiles and skylight. Job was done nicely and quickly. Appreciated!

I posted my request over at Homestars and got contacted by Sukh. I presented a quote from another company so i could do some comparisons between a number of roofing companies. He was very professional and provided suggestions on the color of the gutter and the shingles. After giving it some thought with discussions with the family we decided to proceed with Marks Roofing.

The quote/price for the project was excellent. The date was around November/December so the weather wasn't that great for roofers as it was very wet and cold.

There were some minor things like unused shingles left behind, guessing it's due to communication gaps between other workers i'll contact you later about it to pick up. Things can be improved like updates/communication on the status as i was pretty busy working i wasn't able to tend to the roof project in general. I haven't had many contractors over so i'm not really sure how other companies are or the level of communication between parties. Perhaps providing quick little updates would be great.
I believe the time to complete to roofing project was i think a day but i added extra extra work done with the gutters. The weather wasn't that great as well, and also the situation in the beginning where we had difficulties trying to find parking so i knew the ETA time of completion would go longer than expected.

Anyways, they did a great job on the roof, it looks great. Still have some more work to be done, so will be contacting you guys in the near future. You mentioned you will send pictures? thanks

To give you an idea of our home, it is multi pitched with built in gutters and 15 downspouts.
We canvassed many roofers and settled on Marks Roofing because of the professionalism displayed by they’re site foreman, Suk. He was prompt in answering our questions, coming to the house 3 times to explain things to us rather than phoning. You could tell he had a great deal of roofing experience. He brought samples on numerous occasions (because we couldn’t make up our minds) and even talked us out of a more expensive product then we required. In addition, Suk gave us addresses of places they had done or were currently doing so could understand more.
We decided to work with Marks even though they weren’t the lowest price, because we felt confident they could do what we wanted.
We were kept up to date on when they could start as dates were being shuffled because of the weather. Finally the crew showed up. Hard working and happy is the best way to describe them. Even our neighbours commented on that.
In the end we got exactly what we wanted with no surprises. There were a couple of glitches but nothing serious and everything was handled very professionally.
We love our new roof and recommend Marks Roofing without reservation.

We highly recommend Mark's Roofing. Sukhi and his entire team were punctual, professional, and overall great to work with. Communication with Sukhi was great and he was very attentive to the work being done. We live on Bowen Island and his team traveled here from Surrey and got the job done quickly and efficiently. Everyone on the crew was very nice and polite! It was a pleasure working with Mark's Roofing.

Though Sukh / Mark seems to very polite and kind at first, the workmanship of him and his team is very poor. We had to routinely follow-up and comment on small issues, from broken roof tiles not being patched as promised, and roof cleaning being done with shortcuts. This is despite him being paid what he was seeking, even though certain work was not completed as quoted.

In addition, we had asked him to remove the roof debris and garbage he left behind, which he would be paid for, and we were met with more excuses. There was dirt left all over. It wasn't until we received a second opinion to check after he said he was done his job and took the money, did we realize this.

He charges premium rates, and promises to return to follow-up, but upon collecting payment, goes silent on the issues.

Attached are images of the poor quality of work that he and his team did. If you are paying a high sum to him, be aware and consider giving your business elsewhere.

This summer we had our 22 year old shake roof replaced by Marks Roofing with a Duroid roof. For the scope of the job we felt the price was very fair and the materials they used were good quality. There are at least 3 homes in the immediate neighbourhood who have all had our roofs replaced by Marks, and more to come. We couldn't be happier with how our roof turned out, the professionalism by which we were treated, and the great workmanship by the hard working crew. Especially during one very hot heat wave. Initially I was a little skeptical but the result speaks volumes. This team of roofers with the supervision of Sukhi was efficient. I was also pleasantly impressed they developed a very smart folding the edges of the roof so water will not drop into my deck when it pours anymore. Sukh and his crew were excellent. They worked very hard and kept me informed along the way. The quote for the job was almost 40% less than other companies yet they used a superior product. They replaced the fascia board for 1/5 the quote of another company and the downspouts for 1/3 the quote. There was one minor issue that he was more than happy to fix when i notified him. Very happy with the end result.
