These guys are really easy to work with. Jim is very honest and helpful in telling me all the options that I had with my roof. I went with Malarkey which is a very high quality shingle and has up to a 25-year lifespan. Mapco told me I would probably get a discount on my insurance because of getting these shingles and sure enough within a week I had a check from my insurance! The roofers were great. They laid tarps around the perimeter of my house to catch falling shingles, nails, etc and then Jim came back after the job was done and took a magnetic tool around the house to catch anything that might have missed the tarp. I also had them replace fascia that had fallen off during a windstorm and they did an excellent job on that, too. Highly recommend!

I’m going to start this off by saying that I’m a very picky person. I was truly impressed by Jim and his crew. Their workmanship is of the highest quality! Jim’s communication and honesty are far and above the definition of professionalism. We came out of what was the worst situation with another company and Mapco saved our home. I have never had an experience like this with a contractor before and I’m never going to use another contractor other than Mapco again! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Jim!!!

Jim and Mike were a delight to work with from the start to the completion of the project. "Be aware" We used Mapco to re-vynle our whole house. At 1st they started on like they said they would. Then the waiting game began. There was a constant delay or they never showed up with the right material. Yes we made some changes in the process, but we paid for the extra labor and materials. At the end of the process we had to hound them to come back and finish. We where constantly told they where coming to finish on certain days and they never showed over and over again. A project that we where told would take 2.5 weeks took about 2 months to complete. Once they sent another crew to finish. Our Mapco rep rarely seem to show up and check on the project or even project manage his contractors.

Mapco Exteriors replaced my roof on 8-21-2024. They were a referral, turns out best referral EVER. From the moment Jim Morningstar exited his truck, prompt pleasant, helpful, professional and definitely most knowledgeable EVER with the insurance process, I was lost he guided me thru it all. The cleanup was amazing! But then Jim came back the next day for final check,, Wow! he personally did 2nd nail sweep of yard and any missed debri. I am very pleased , the workers were great, the roof is beautiful with no hassles! Thank you Mapco and Jim for a Job well done

I cannot say enough good things about Mapco Exteriors. Our old shingles were showing their age, and they were blemished with algae stains. This was a concern with me, because our house was at the end of a street, and the roof was visible to anyone driving up that street.
Mapco Exteriors showed me various samples and I decided to go with the Malarkey shingles. They are made from recycled materials and have properties that make them hailstone and algae resistant. They are architectural shingles and only cost a few hundred dollars more. I’m told our insurance company may reduce our premium for using these shingles, so I plan to follow up with them.
The installation crew was the best. It was a very hot and humid day, and they showed up at 6:00A, and was completely done by 1:00P. Before starting, they laid down tarps completely around our house to catch falling debris, including nails. They removed the old shingles and underlayment and placed them in a trailer and took them away. They also drug magnet bars all around the house to ensure any nails that may have missed the tarps were retrieved. In the end, the shingles looked great, and I got compliments from several neighbors. The installation crew was some of the hardest working and polite men I have seen.
If you are in need of new shingles, I strongly recommend contacting Mapco Exteriors. They are honest, they do great work, and they will treat you right.

I hired Mapco Exteriors to replace my roof, and a few other minor fixes, after a hail storm in early April. This company is fantastic! Jim Russo, the project manager for my job, was very patient regarding all of my questions...walking me through every step of the process. I was pleasantly surprised by the work ethic he and his team displayed: answered my calls, replied to my text messages, stated what they were going to do and then doing what they said. I would use them again, and highly recommend them.

We were very pleased with the service that was provided. Everything we were told was done in a timely manner. If they said they would be there, delivery of shingles, or checking progress they were there. Very professional and would use again, but lets hope the storms miss us.

I own a local inspection company so that being said I tend to be picky with work that is done on my home. Mapco did not disappoint. They were at my house evaluating my roof the day after the big hail storm. They met the adjuster at my house and got me everything I needed from the insurance company. They cleaned up my yard and driveway perfectly. I of course inspected the roof after they put the new one on and didn’t find a single issue (which is rare). I definitely will be recommending them to my future clients for roof replacements and repairs

Wow, we are 1st time home owners and have had zero experience with claims of this magnitude. James talked with me and helped me understand every step of how and why it works for filing a claim and then for him and our adjuster to come together which they did and then communicated to the insurance for the best coverage possible. Great experience all around. Gave me an estimate when I had my inspection done. Honored the quote almost a year later. Came in to check out the shingle we wanted and were given a great explanation
of the differences. Was on the calendar 2 weeks later. Crew was fast and completed the entire job (high pitch/with 2nd floor) within 2 days. Looks great and really happy with the overall experience.

Now a days it seems like you can not find anyone to help with small home repair jobs but Mike and his team knocked it out of the park for us. Even with a very busy schedule he made us a priority! The guys who came to do the work welcomed us with a smile! They were professional and efficient. Could not even tell they were here because they cleaned up so well.

He and his crew are professional, thorough and considerate. On top of installing a beautiful new roof, they were fanatical about making sure there was no debris left behind. These guys are the best!

We contacted this company for an ESTIMATE. That's all, an estimate. When they gave us the numbers they tried making us sign a contract right then. We were only looking for estimates right now so we refused to sign a contract yet. The guy was so unprofessional and rude. Told us flat out we are wasting his time!? They advertise free estimates though, the reason we called. No time was wasted besides ours now. I do not recommend them at all based off my 1 time experience. They made us feel like criminals saying we were committing insurance fraud because we didn't want to sign his contract right away. I almost felt like we are being forced to sign with them. Literally no one goes with the first estimate unless that is their go to contractor. We are new home owners so we don't have a go to yet, but it definitely will not be Mapco. All the other people were not pushy, unprofessional,or rude when doing our ESTIMATE. If you dont mind rude people, go for it. I'd rather pay extra than deal with them and their rude mouths.

Great experience! Had water damage inside the home from a potential roof leak during the recent rainstorm and we asked for a quick appt if possible to assess the issue. Owner Jim came on a Saturday, diagnosed the problem and recaulked some windows at no charge. Was very friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. He also gave me a quick report on the status of our roof along with pictures of his findings. He will definitely be our first call when it comes time to replace our roof soon. i was very impressed, they were quick and responsive with installation of my new roof. I have a 12/12 pitch, so not easy to do, and they had a crew get it completed in 1 full day. Great work and dependable.

Mapco replaced our roof recently. From the initial meeting to the final installation, our contacts with Mapco were courteous and professional. It took less than a full day for the completion of the new roof. Cleanup was thorough and complete. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mapco.

Sorry, this review is a little late...We worked with Jim Russo and Mapco starting in late July 2021. Jim was on time for EVERY appointment with us and with our insurance adjuster. he helped walk us through the sometimes complicated claims process and was professional and courteous the entire time. His communication was excellent. His team made some changes to our gutters, and while there were some issues at first, Jim and his team stuck with it until it was fixed properly and he never asked for a cent until the work was completed. I highly recommend using Jim Russo and Mapco for your exterior needs!

Mike and his team were professional throughout the entire process. He explained everything the entire way through. All work was done timely, reasonably priced, and looks great.

After experiencing dreaded roof installations prior to this one, I find myself overwhelmed with the ease and the simplicity of this company. Everyone at Mapco is extremely polite and professional, answered all of my questions explained to me the difference in materials and the quality of materials they use. What I thought would be a very complex problem especially in the Holiday season, was very simple, easily fixed with better results than I had before with no worry and no cost I would recommend this company to everyone.

UPDATE 2/7/24 We had an issue with a weird leak that was NOT due to installation but the weird way our roof connects and snow and ice. I once again called Jim. Here we are over 2 years out from install. Jim once again came out and looked at our roof and did some adjustments. This is beyond customer service! He did not charge us anything again! Thank you so much! ❤️

UPDATE! 7/5/22 We had a massive rain storm and had a small leak. I sent a text message to Jim about it a little after 7am and he answered the text in about 5 minutes! AND he was out here in less than 3 hours to take care of the issue! Unreal customer service, as I live over 45 minutes away from their office. And again, charged me nothing!

Original review: Mapco is incredible! Jim came out and walked our roof and tried to patch where we had leaks in our skylights for free. This was before he knew we would be choosing them to do any work. A week or so later, he came out when it was raining and put a tarp on one of the skylights that wouldn't hold the patch, again charging us NOTHING. He gave us several different bids for all the work we needed done, giving us several options to save us money. They have financing that is quick and and easy to apply for. The installers were fast, friendly, on-time, and did a great clean-up. Jim came out during the install and afterwards to make sure things were going well. We had a small issue with the gutters due to weird pitching on our roof in a couple of spots and they came back out that same day and fixed it. You cannot go wrong if you choose Mapco as your installer. Jim is fantastic, he is a truly caring individual and wants nothing more than to make sure you are 100% happy with your project. He explained things thoroughly, answers your questions, and makes himself available to you damn near 24/7. Jim is an outstanding person and his company and installers reflect that. Our family couldn't be more happy with the results of our project!
