Dennis Ryan of Donovan Roofing stopped by to take a look at my roof after a recent storm. He was very knowledgeable and transparent about the inspection. After several seemingly fly-by-night contractors stopped by wanting a check straight away, I contacted Nick M at Donovan Construction. Donovan Roofing inspected our roof after a hail storm. Our roof is about 19 yrs old so I informed them that we want to make sure we have obvious hail damage before we file an insurance claim. After the inspection, they provided us with a list of components with hail damage such as shingles, a window, gutters, grill cover etc. They encouraged us to file an insurance claim with our insurance provider, Pure and offered to be here during the inspection.
Pure sent a third party inspector, SeekNow, to do the inspection and two Donovan roofing employees were here during the inspection. After the inspection, they informed me that the inspector seemed to agree with them regarding the hail damage. I appreciated everything Donovan did at that point and was looking forward to them making the necessary repairs after the insurance approval.
However, our claim ended up getting denied and the insurance company, Pure, basically said there was no hail damage. I asked Donovan for help in determining whether or not we should take a legal action to challenge Pure's decision, but instead of defending their findings they decided to remove themselves from the situation. Please think twice before filing an insurance claim based on Donovan Roofing's advice.

Danny at Donovan roofing has been a godsend as we work through very complicated claim due to storm damage, which involved struggling with insurance over siding and roof costs. The work Donovan did was great - our roof has never looked better. They worked quickly and efficiently on our very high pitched roof. Additionally they were able to replace all the decking and fixed some flashing/gutter situations that we wouldn’t have noticed.

We recently had an extensive amount of work completed by Donovan Roofing and Construction for hail damage, and we couldn't be happier.

It included replacement of shingles on large roofs for the house and the 3-car garage, replacement of all gutters and downspouts, and replacement of a metal porch roof.

It seems odd to be impressed by gutter and downspout replacements, but the workman who single-handedly did it all was truly impressive. Due to his nonstop, easy-going finesse, the 220 foot installation turned out to be another one of the highlights of the project. Absolutely wonderful to look at the results.

After recent hail storm in O’Fallon. Contacted Donovan roofing and construction for an inspection. Brendan Snyder showed up to talk about damage. He was was very knowledgeable and very personable. Answered all questions and seemed to care. Kept in contact with us while we waited for adjuster and claim to be processed . Ultimately went with different contractor due to insurance/neighbors recommendations. But Brendan was so nice and thoughtful I just had to leave a review.

Have worked with Donovan Roofing for a couple years now after buying an older home with a clay tile roof. Their first roof inspection report was very thorough, including aerial images, and clearly outlined the state of the roof and areas needing work. They're affordable and responsive considering the somewhat niche roof type we have for this area. We've been nothing but happy since we first started working with them.

I had an old shake roof that started to leak. I had few guys come over to look and give quotes. They immediately spotted hail damage and worked me through the insurance process. They other guys didn't even notice.

I ended up getting an artificial shake from DaVinci Roofscapes. Stuff looks great, is tough, and has none of the wood shake hassle. I have gotten a few knocks on my to compliment me and ask about it. Everyone is surprised that it is artificial, since it looks so natural.

The insurance process was long, but that's not their fault. They were always in contact and very quick to get a hold of. The work quality was very good. The number one thing I'd say about them is that Donovan was very professional and honest. Those are two very important qualities in a contractor. I would recommend them.

Donnovan roofing was the second company we had out for a leak. The other company could not figure out the problem, but still charged us for a repair that didn’t resolve our issue.
