First, I have to say it was nice to find a roofer who actually returned my call.

Josh made an appointment to come to the house, and did an assessment of our roof. He gave us a fair price and, scheduled an a time for us to have the work done.

His crew showed up as scheduled, and began the work. The workers, led by Matthew, stripped and replaced wood where needed. They put down new underlayment and re-shingled the entire roof. They also installed a ridge vent which was needed for ventilation. Within a five day period they did the roof replacement and a total cleanup, removing all debris from the property. All members of the crew were efficient, polite and hardworking. They answered all the questions we had along the way. We would highly recommend Maine Exterior Pros to anyone needing roof repair or replacement.

Highly recommended!!! We hired Josh and his crew to install a metal roof and three skylights at our Norway camp.. Great communication from day 1 (estimate) to conclusion. The crew did extra work and there was no extra labor charge. A real craftsman Josh always kept us in the loop. At one point, there was torrential rain at night and we had some leakage due to (later determined) defective material. Josh and his brother came out at 9:30 PM got on the roof (in heavy rain) and solved the problem. My wife, Marilyn, and I can't say enough and to say we are satisfied is an understatement. Clean up was superior! Josh, feel free to use us as references!

Josh and crew put a new roof on my 1800 sq ft cape and installed 2 skylights. They have a great work ethic and know their stuff. The sky light install was a little tougher than most as the roof had custom built trusses. I am a mechanical engineer and their approach to reinforcing the roof to handle the sky lights was spot on. Showed up on time every day to work and left the house just as clean as they found it. I highly recommend Maine Exterior Pro's and can't say enough good things about them.

I hired them to put on a standing seam metal roof. The owner was always responded promptly to communications and was very personable. And the quality of the finished product is immaculate. I'm confident that this roof will long out last me without ever developing an issue. Worth every penny.
He couldn't accurately estimate time to save his life (but can any of them?). I didn't hold that against him. I was happy enough with his work to hire him of some additional work as the roof job was wrapping up.

Josh and his team recently completed a roof project for us to include the installation of zip system decking on bare trusses all the way to a standing seam metal roof, fascia metal wrap and soffit install.

He and his team did an exceptional job. The price was very competitive and the quality of work superb. With all that said, the greatest positive Josh brings to the table is phenomenal communication. Josh was straight forward and very responsive alleviating a lot of homeowner concern and tactfully handling stupid questions.

No job comes without hiccups or delays. Ours were material access timelines and weather. Josh handled both well. As his business continues to grow and he inevitably overcomes the metal roofing material availability speed bump (which honestly wasn’t a big deal, assuming a homeowner has a little patience, but have to give something which can be improved upon or it wouldn’t be believable) he’s going to be tough to compete with.

I wouldn’t recommend him…
until after I can hire him to do my siding,

They recently completed a roof project for us on an approximately 170 year old Victorian house with multiple dormers, valleys at a 12:12 pitch. Their workmanship is excellent and they did the work on time and in a neat and clean manner. Enjoyed having the crew around, good guys!!

We were so very pleased with the job done by Maine Exterior Pro’s. Due to the rainy summer the job was a little delayed(understandably), but they were very responsive to the situation. They began work at 8am and didn’t stop until completion at 7pm.
They left our yard in the same condition as when they arrived. We would recommend Josh and his crew %.

Showed up when they said they would (allowing for weather). Quick responses (hours not weeks)when I emailed with questions. Crew was polite, backed their trailer into an awkward spot around fencing and propane tank etc no problem, and worked their butts off, cleaned up the mess thoroughly, and were done in 2 days. No issues with deposit or them asking for money part way through or anything. Nice and simple, deposit->work done->$.

They worked all week in rain to get our roof done and siding fixed, before my daughters backyard wedding. They even helped to fix extra broken siding for us.
We are very happy and impressed. Their cleanup was wonderful also. I worried about guests stepping on nails, but they cleaned meticulously. Definitely recommend them!!!

I had Maine Exterior Pros replace the roof on my 2 unit house. They were very professional, and got the job done in timely manner. Communication was excellent. Because of various things going on at the house there had to be a lot of schedule changes, and they accommodated all my needs. When I decided to change some of the details of the job after the fact they returned to fix their work to my new specifications, and did so in a timely manner without charge.

Was so pleased with the side seam replacement on the back porch I had them back this year to do the upper roof! They did a great job, even working around those solar panels and reattaching them to the grid afterwards. Including the photos from last year to give a better sense of the before and after on the upper roof.

Now just need to replace the old style rivet held metal roof over the front porch, and then, eventually, the garage!

Josh at Maine Exterior Pros just completed the roof on our cabin in Rangeley and we couldn't be happier. From start to finish the project went smoothly even without us being there- this is our second home. Josh's communication skills are fantastic, he kept us updated with photos and texts from the initial quote to completion. They showed up and finished the project on time installing a new roof, chimney re-flashing, scrape and stain exterior logs and replaced a piece of rotted molding. Even did extra stuff at no charge just to make everything look perfect. Honest, harding working and reliable-would use them again in a heartbeat and have already referred them to others!
