We had a bad experience with a different builder, one we had worked with for over a year, we spent thousands of dollars on plans, and in the end, they couldn't get the appraisal we needed. We were devastated that our dream to build was falling apart. We began searching for other builders and came across a floor plan with Madison that was similar to the one we were hoping to build. We met with Billy Horton 3 days after firing the first builder. From the very first moment, we knew we were supposed to build with Madison. Every single step was easy and fluid. Billy was a great salesman, Michael was an amazing construction supervisor, and every person we met was super nice, helpful, and informative. In less than 8 months, we went from feeling like our dream was never going to happen to moving into our forever home! We built a Cumberland with the farmhouse elevation. We converted the living room to a 4th bedroom and the dining room to an office. We have a gigantic pantry, unfinished bonus room above the garage, and a beautiful screened in 12X20 deck on the back overlooking our 9-acre pine forest. Billy, Michael, Angie, Angelina, and the entire team at Madison helped make our dream come true, and we couldn't be happier. From the foundation to the final touches, we watched the entire build process step by step. The workmanship and quality of every material and skill is top notch. We have recommended Madison to multiple people and will continue to send people to Billy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I would agree with the other negative review’s. Our home was built in 2022, we have had our flooring replaced 2 times already. Our installer told us the flooring was cheap. Here we are in 2025 and my wife asked me to pull the stove out for cleaning and what do you know more shotty workmanship. Reported to the BBB and they said they could do nothing. Heck doesn’t everyone just pull there stove out to see what’s behind it. Do your self a favor hire your own home inspector. We regret using Madison as a builder. This is how I found my wall and floor(After Madison responded,I called the next day. Was sent to voicemail, still no call back.)

He kept me informed of everything that was going on. He has a keen eye in detail. One main thing that stuck out in my mind, when he and I did my walk-though, there were little to no re-do's. So, it became more of an educational session. I had a lot of questions on what to do and how. He explained to me about the upkeep of the items in my home. I am so very grateful for him.
Overall, Madison Homebuilders is an awesome builder just for their incentives alone. I saved so much money throughout the whole process. That's what brought me to them from the beginning. The outstanding staff members made me feel that I can trust them with my dream home.

I am looking to build a new home and I have called twice over a month ago to have someone contact me so I can come in and go over details as well as to get more information……. Well still no response the young lady that answered the phone took my name and miner and said someone will be getting in contact with……. guess that want my business.

Man, it was really amazing that my mother just wanted to live in neither one of those houses with her family for the rest of her life and never want to leave.

Madison Homebuilders were awesome to work with and always answered any questions that came up. This is our first home so we weren’t very familiar with this process, and the process can be very confusing and hard to trust for first time home buyers/builders. They work closely with your lender and keep all lines of communication open to ensure excellent customer experience. With Madison Homebuilders you’re able to design the way you want your house to look as far as colors, flooring, granite, tiles, paint, hardware and SO much more. This is great because it really keeps you involved in the process and keeps you even more excited for the completion of your home. Don’t hesitate to request or ask about modifications to your homes design! They will do their best to ensure you get what you are looking for. We love our home and are so happy and excited to create memories there.

My family's experience with Madison was a really good one. We love our new house. the service was great and they stayed true to schedule. Things definitely went wrong. When they did they didn't hesitate to fix them in a timely manner. If I had to build another house I would def use them again!

Madison was excellent to work with throughout the entire house building process. They listened to everything we asked for and were not pushy with the sales or upping the price at all. They were very willing to help when needed.

We had a great experience with Madison Homebuilders building our new home. After working with another builder several years ago, Madison was a drastically better experience. Everyone we worked with was very responsive and never pushy or trying to sell us on anything we didn't want.

We worked with Billy Horton who was ALWAYS very responsive via text, call, or e-mail and went out of his way to help us with an unique lot that had several issues. Charlie was in charge of our build and was also super responsive and the house turned out great in a fast timeframe. Angelina was our closing coordinator and although we first met her in person on closing day we had communicated via e-mail and phone with her quite a bit leading up to it and she was awesome.

Madison is definitely a great pick for your new construction. Quality, no pushy sales tactics, and the way they can work with you on financing without having to get an actual construction loan was a huge help.

Working with Madison Home Builders was a fantastic experience. We were always kept up to date on progress, they worked very well with our timeline, and any questions we had were answered very quickly. We are very happy with our new home and the quality is great! Willi, our sales rep was the best. From day one he went over and above expectations. Everyone we delt with at Madison was the best. Quick to return calls and emails. Our construction manager Greg was just as awesome. I highly recommend Madison Home builders.

Everyone at the Columbia office was very professional & answer all my questions. One thing I will stress is; when you go to pick out all your colors, flooring, fixtures, and etc just make sure you write everything down and keep notes of it. The Johnson’s are really enjoying the Concord. Billy & Charlie were AWESOME!!!

Outstanding group of people with a high level of professionalism. I had my fears about building a new home, as most do. Those fears were quickly put at ease when I realized things were being well handled. It really was like designing your dream house with their designs acting as a template. Once construction started, I was involved as much as I wanted to be. There was no desire on my part to be clingy or ride those doing the work. Things just got done! at a steady but non-rushed pace. Both Charlie and Billy are great guys and valuable assets to what Madison does. The same can be said for Angelina in the office. Anyone looking to build a new home should have no hesitations that they are doing the right thing.

Absolutely great process from the first day my wife and I walked in the door to start our build. Willie has always kept us in the loop and has been very quick with responses to our questions. Charlie over saw the build and we couldn’t have been luckier to have. Very knowledgeable and willing to work with us I’d concerns ever arose. Would definitely recommend.

I wanted to leave a review based on the Sales Rep I have had the opportunity to work with. We are still in the early stages of building our house (we are just waiting to break ground) but I felt the need to give credit where credit is due. Billy Horton- in West Columbia has been a blessing. Not only has he been easy to get in touch with BUT he has an answer to all of my questions!! And when he doesn't know the answer, he goes digging for it. Billy has been nothing short of amazing! I look forward to leaving another review once the house is completed. We can't wait to start working with our superintendent-Greg. We've heard great things about him!

We love our Granville! Madison did not disappoint. The entire building process from start to close was easy and hassle free. Greg, our superintendent, was wonderful and he was very punctual with returned calls/texts no matter the time of day/night. We could not have asked for a better Super!
The only thing I would have changed about our house (which is no fault of Madison), would have been spending the EXTRA money to have someone insulate our house with spray foam insulation and I definitely would have gone the extra mile for a more "custom" looking kitchen, i.e., not the standard (tier 1) cabinet.
My husband and I have been fortunate to be able to build such an amazing home and even more blessed that Madison was able to build it!!

Everyone was great to work with during the whole process! We were well informed of options and progress every step of the way. They were able to customize one of their floorplan to fit our needs and we love our new home!

Madison made the home building process so enjoyable for us from start to finish. We loved the fact that we didn't have to worry about paying interest on a construction loan during the build - this in itself saved us a lot of money & on top of that we didn't have to worry about coming up with money for closing costs because Madison covered that too. The best part was that we were able to pick a plan & customize it to exactly what we wanted in a home. The whole team at Madison made our dream home a reality. Everyone was always so helpful & willing to answer any questions we had. Willie was especially accommodating in helping us navigate through all of the choices we had to make leading up to breaking ground. Once we broke ground Greg went above & beyond in making sure that we were staying on schedule, answering all of our questions, & that we were happy with what was being done. All of the ladies in the office were always more than happy to help with any questions or issues that we had. If you're wanting to build a quality home where the people truly care about your wants, needs, & happiness Madison is the place to go. We love our new home!

My wife and I had the best experience at Madison Homebuilders in West Columbia. We met Mr. Billy Horton, who was very helpful. He helped us make the best decisions based on what we could afford and what we wanted on the outside and inside of our house. We also had a great contractor, Mr. Glenn. They were both always available to answer any questions we had as well as walk us through everything that would happen. At closing, Ms. Angelina was there to help make sure we had all the information that we needed after officially closing and moving into our house. Everyone at Madison Homebuilders in West Columbia is always willing to go above and behind to help. They are so friendly. You immediately feel comfortable and at ease when you walk into their office. My husband and I are really enjoying our new home that was built by Madison Homebuilders. We were able to customize our home to fit our lifestyle and still maintain Madison's true elegance of the Sycamore floorplan. We had a very pleasant experience with our Construction Manager, Greg. He was fantastic. He kept us fully aware of everything that was going on during the construction of our home. Really, all team members of the Madison Family were great. We looked at many homes and contractors including modular when we started to build. We finally decided on Madison homes there knowledge of building a home far outceeded the rest. We told them what we wanted and our budget and they went out of there way to help. Alot of people said building was a headache and you had to stay behind them but not Madison homes they made the process easy. The house is very well built our lite bill has dropped over $100 a month from our old home it is very energy efficient. The building superintendent was great he he took care of everything. All me and my wife had to do after closing was move in. We would highly recommend Madison homes.
