Ron and Ken are excellent! I'm so excited about the work they performed replacing my roof. A tree fell on the roof during Hurricane Helene. I looked around and was feeling uneasy about the other contractors I spoke with. I found one of their signs nearby and gave them a call. They beat the other quotes I had by thousands of dollars. I spoke with them on a Monday and they had my roof replaced by Friday. They even added a cricket I didn't know was needed in front of my chimney.

I cannot say enough good things about Hornsby Roofing. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Great customer service. I contacted Hornsby Roofing about 2 spots that were leaking on my roof. He was in the area and came by within 15 minutes. He assessed the job and contacted 2 of his employees who were also in the area. They arrived within 30 minutes and repaired my roof. Rapid response time and very reasonably priced! The brothers who run this are great at communicating at coordinating. They came out to investigate if water was coming through our roof and while they didn't find anything, still tested and even looked on the inside where we have leaking from our ceiling to recommend a plumber. All at no cost to us, very rare to find this level of service Couldn't be happier with the interactions my wife and I had with them and if roof issues arise will be the first on our list.

Hornsby Roofing was recommended to us by a trusted and respected long-term HVAC contractor in our area. Based on that referral, we called Ken, he provided a direct, clean, and honest estimate of what we needed.

We did our due diligence and sought five other estimates from other companies. Half of the other firms were higher in cost and did a song and dance about their products and added services and all that noise. The other half offered lower estimates but wanted huge sums up front (to either pocket or use to fund materials because their credit is shot) or wouldn't be able to get to us for a year.

Ken was direct, honest, and straight up. We signed off on the estimate with Ken, and his brother and crew were here 15 minutes early on the day that they said they'd be here. The first half of the day, they did a textbook tear-off of the old roof, keeping mess, and even noise to a minimum. Second half of the day, they put on the new roof and cleaned up. Aside from a new roof that looks like a million bucks, you'd never even know that they were here.

I was reared by a contractor and grew up building houses in NC. I know a good roofing job when I see one. I know a professional crew when I watch one. Hornsby Roofing took care of our needs and did so in a fair, courteous, prompt, and quality manner. In this day and age, that's a big deal. Always has been, and always will be. We can't recommend Hornsby Roofing enough.

My garage roof has some leakage issue that needs to be repaired. Based on their outstanding Google review, I contacted Hornsby Roofing for an inspection. Ken is very professional. He promptly identified the issue and proposed a repair plan. The crew came the next day, cut out the rotten osb, replaced with new plywood and new shingles, for an area of approximately 4' by 4'. The repair work is professional, quick and clean. The repaired roof looks excellent. I would definitely use their services for any future roof issues.

Ken handles the communication with the insurance company and explains clearly to the customer how things will progress with the work contracted. His roofing crew worked from 7 AM until 8 PM in 90 degree heat. The finished product was outstanding.

I’ve used Hornsby Roofing twice to repair another roofers work. Both times they have been extremely responsive and professional. After a recent wind storm I had difficulty finding a roofer to complete repairs before another rainy day, I remembered that I used Hornsby roofing previously. I reached out to them, and 2 days later they had the roof repaired to better than new condition. They are my go-to for roofing problems.

One of the best companies I have seen and had done my roof and wasn’t expecting this but they cut out and replaced all the rotten wood and corrected a previous problem around the chimney. I probably cannot express properly how pleased we are with this company. They were doing a roof in our neighborhood and the came over and looked at it and explained how to get our insurance company invoked. Then when we got the results from our adjuster they set a time up to do the job but it rained they then kept us informed until we had some clear weather. On day of the job they sent pictures of what they were doing and again kept us informed of what they would need to. They put out coverings over everything and when job was complete we could not find any signs they even been there except for the new roof.
I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs roof work done!!

I’m unable to say enough good things about the Company an ESPECIALLY their workers which NEVER stopped but once for their lunch! They completed the job in one day on over a 1800 sq ft home while replacing plywood without even being asked with NO extra charge. No roofing nails left but two in a flower bed. We were told estimated time to complete would be 2 days. We needed more repairs than expected after shingles were removed and job was still completed in a day. Men worked from sun up till sun down.

About a month ago my roof started leaking along the ridge vent when we were getting heavy rain. One company said I needed a new roof entirely, which would cost thousands of dollars. Insurance wouldn't cover it, and estimated a $600 repair. Ken gave me good advice and only charged me $225 for the repair. He was also able to come out in a reasonable timeframe to complete the repair, which only took a few minutes. I have not had a leak since! I will definitely be using Hornsby Roofing as long as I live in Columbia, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs roofing work done!

Fantastic company. Expected to have them out next day or in a couple days to inspect but Ken made the time to come the same afternoon because I needed it done ASAP. Took him about 15 minutes to inspect and quoted me nearly $1,000 less than closest competitor. Then, expected work to be done 3 days later but they came the next day and repaired my roof. Great work and very professional. 10/10 would recommend.

I called Hornsby Roofing for a second quote. The first company that I called wanted to charge $950 to seal some nail holes & replace a few shingles. I thought that quote was outrageous & needed to find someone that I could trust. Ken Hornsby came out & inspected my roof. He was on time, nice & professional. He said if he had caulk in his truck, he could just caulk some areas & the roof should be fine. He caulked around the chimney & some nails that had popped up. I expected to pay a service fee but he didn’t charge!!! It’s rained a lot in the last 2 days & Ken texted me today to see how things were going. Well no new leaks! I’m so thankful that I called Hornsby Roofing!

My roof was 20 years old and was in need of a total replacement. I was referred to Hornsby Roofing by a neighbor who deals daily with homeowner trades of all types. I called Ken and as scheduled, he showed up right on time for the inspection. His quote was better than fair for the type of shingles I needed and the pitch/size. We scheduled a time which was a week out. As promised, he and his crew showed up at 7:30 and they wasted no time getting to it. They were there working until 6 each day and 2.5 days later, he was done. When I got home, aside from the new roof, I couldn’t tell he had been there.

I deal with commercial IT (cabling/audio visual/data center) trades all over the country and can tell you that Ken gets an A+ in my book. I wish I could find more vendors like Ken.

Here is what I noticed:

1. Professional crew. Not once did they ask to come in the house to use the bathroom or for anything else. No BSing around, they just worked.
2. Cleaned up everything. I checked for nails around the house and couldn’t find a one. I expected other trash (cups, wrappers etc) and there wasn’t anything.
3. Put down tarps all around the house - think about the stuff going into your bushes if they didn’t do this.
4. They had to remove the grill and patio furniture from my deck and put everything back. I know that sounds small but it makes a difference.
5. Quality materials. Owens Corning Duration architectural shingles.
6. Said what he was going to do and did what he said.
7. Always responded quickly.

You can respect and admire the level of service you get from the team at Hornsby Roofing. Always answered my questions, kept me informed on challenges even with the approval to do as needed they still took the time to show what they needed to address before doing so. That’s a level of service you don’t get much of these days. Best part when they say there going to start at 0730, they’ll show up at 0710 to be ready to start at 0730, that’s being on time!
