A long overdue review, but Minh and crew were awesome to work with. We had an issue with a bat in our attic and reached out to Minh after the pest control people came out and told us to get the roof line inspected. Minh's crew spotted the initial entry point quickly and documented it with pictures.

Afterwards Minh gave us some options on how to go about fixing the problem. Unfortunately for us the previous roof company who did last made an error in how the gutters are installed, which causes the entry point. Minh understood that the roof was recently done and redoing the gutters would be a more expensive option. He came up with another solution that will prevent any entry from the outside from birds, etc.

Next time we do the roof we are going with Minh so the job is done correctly.

Great work, fair price. Always responds to your messages and shows up when they say they are. Very rare now days.

I have hired Minh’s team couple of times for roof repairs and they have always done a great job going beyond and checking for any issues other than the one called for. Charges are also reasonable depending on the work done.

Both issues were non roofing related (siding & step flashing) but they corrected at minimal cost. Minh and his team is fantastic! We had a window/wall leak happen earlier this summer due to pouring windy rains. He had one of his team members come out to evaluate the leak (no charge for assessing!) and said that while he was up there, he'd caulk it up expertly if it ended up being the best solution. We appreciated his straightforwardness in evaluation and his expertise and knowledge in roofing, especially with the houses in South Riding, and how they were built. Instead of pushing a potentially big foundational fix/change to our house, he said that the roof caulking they did would the best course of action for us (through lots of understanding of the way these houses were built). He was very informative on how to keep an eye on the previously leaking area and that we could call him if we found issues later on. Love the honesty, the integrity, and the expertise of M Gen Contracting!

I highly recommend M. Gen Contracting for extremely detailed, high quality work. We had a number of windows and siding that were leaking every time it rained. Since M. Gen worked on these areas, everything has been bone dry and I don't dread the rain anymore!

I should add, just two months prior,(before we had heard about how great M. Gen Contracting was), we had had another contractor come out, charge us a lot of money to "fix" these same areas, and they leaked even worse after they left. They offered no warranty on their work so it was a complete waste of money.

Bottom line: M. Gen will take the time do it right on the first go round. If you don't want to waste time or money, go with M. Gen!

We had Minh come out to investigate a window that had a leak coming in the frame. They were very responsive, prompt, and transparent through the entire project. They did thorough research and found the multiple small causes that combined to make the leak. …They didn’t simply put down a bead of caulk and walk away.
I was out of town at the time of the actual repair, however min and his crew provided multiple photos to me documenting everything that was found and all of the fixes they performed.

Texted Minh on Thursday afternoon after I noticed some shingles missing from my roof (saw them with my drone). Minh responded right away and said he could send a member of his team the next day. The next day someone from his team came and quickly replaced my missing shingles and also took photos for me of the completed job. Very efficient and easy to communicate with. You won’t be disappointed!!

They arrived early got straight to work. I wasnt there but my fiance said that Minh was there and worked alongside his team. They cleaned up when finished and the roof looks amazing. I will be looking at other services that he may be able to help me complete. His quote was complete and thorough without al the "fluff and most of all it was fairly priced. He sent me documentation on materials and guarantees included in my quote. There was also multiple payment methods which i truly appreciated. So far I am very pleased with Minh General contracting and hope to have a great relationship with the company!

There was wind damaged to our roof ridge vent. We were really worried about it because of heavy rain forecasted. Fortunately Minh from M. Gen Contracting was able to squeeze us in and repaired the ridge vent within an hour. We were very fortunate because indeed the very next day it rained.

Minh helped me with my front entry door from start to finish and gave me valuable information along the way. He was available even in the late hours when I texted him to give me his opinion on questions I had on different types of door and also the hardware. His opinion was very helpful as I am very indecisive and his recommendation was spot on. He connected me with someone who did their door recently when I didn't know what color to pick and one of the colors I was contemplating was the door he had recently installed. That was very valuable as I could see what the actual color would look like vs a swatch. I also had so many questions on different types of door (fiberglass vs steel) and he was very patient and gave me pros and cons for me to decide. I ended up going with the Provia steel door in nighfall color. His installation team came and installed the door in 3-4 hours and noticed that the door came damaged. Minh immediately went to work on getting the replacement door and although my initial door took 3 months to get here, my replacement door arrived in 3 weeks. I LOVE my new door! Thank you Minh for all your help and all your guidance and answering my million questions through text. I would recommend Minh and his team 110%!

M Gen did a complete roof replacement for me due to hail & wind damage. I could not have been more pleased with both the service, professionalism, and quality of their work. This was an insurance claim. Minh (owner) was helpful and patient as my claim worked its way through the system. I never once felt pressured to make any unnecessary upgrades or additional work that was not needed. I personally feel that they went above and beyond in order to ensure my total satisfaction. UPDATE (4/2024): I recently contracted M Gen to repair a rotted exterior trim around my sliding door at my deck. They removed the rotted pieces and installed a metal capping system. As expected, it came out perfect and I couldn’t be happier. The professionalism and service of this company is unmatched. From the owner down to the newest employee, everyone is friendly and knows what they are doing. I highly recommend M Gen for both roofing and window capping.

Minh and his company are great. I had M-Gen fix my portico that leaked from the rooftop down to the post. Allan did a great job on fixing the damaged structures and installing new roof membrane.
Minh’s honesty saved me a lot of money. We had to wait for almost half a year for new railings due to Covid but on the day of the installation he told me that they were able to reuse my original railings due to no damages caused from the removal. That saved me money and potential issues with my HOA since it was hard to find railings that matched with the old ones.
Communicating with Minh was also easy. He was quick in responding and willing to explain to me about what, why and how things needed to be done.

Ming advised what needed to be done to solve the problem and a timeline for how urgent the repair was. Mihn and his team are the absolute best!! I’ve worked with him on a number of occasions and Mihn is always super responsive, helpful, and honest. They replaced my roof a few years ago and when a mystery leak appeared a few weeks later, Mihn and his team went above and beyond to diagnose and correct the issue. He started off with a roof inspection that was very detailed including tons of photos to document everything he noted and provided detailed explanations on the work to be done. He performed a roof tune-up, replaced some siding, and repaired our portico at a tremendously reasonable cost. Again with tons of photos. Absolutely trustworthy, they repaired the portico while I was out of town and after the roof and siding I had no reason to believe his work wouldn’t again be top notch.
