I had a truly disappointing experience with Lums Service Department and their General Manager. The customer service was absolutely terrible—there was a complete lack of communication, and I felt ignored and disrespected throughout the entire process. To make matters worse, I encountered what I believe to be illegal practices, which is deeply concerning.
The situation escalated when I tried to discuss my concerns with the General Manager. Instead of addressing the issues professionally, she started yelling at me and refused to listen, repeatedly telling me she didn’t have time for this and that I was being ridiculous. She even ended the call the moment I mentioned recording the conversation, stating she would only speak in person and then hung up. When I quoted the ORS statute, she got visibly mad and continued to be hostile. Her reason for her aggressive behavior was because she thought I was being very ridiculous.
The entire conversation was caught on recording, which clearly documents her unprofessional conduct. It’s unacceptable to be treated this way by anyone representing a company.
If you're looking for a trustworthy and professional company to do business with, I strongly advise you to steer clear of Lums. Their lack of integrity, poor communication, and unprofessional conduct make them a business I would not recommend.

The service department is great. They listen to me about my truck and know I am particular about it. I love they take such good care of me and let me know the recommended maintenance after every visit. And bonus for rotating my tires for me. They have been my service center for 9 years.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I appreciated the low pressure atmosphere and their dedication to customer service. I love the car I purchased and will return for my future car buying needs.

Lum’s GMC is the place to go if you’re looking for a car. They have gone overboard in taking care of us when an hour or so after leaving the dealership the check engine light came on. They’ve taken the car in to be repaired AND provided us with a loaner while they have our car!

This place is trash. They are so underemployed its pathetic. They waste so much time trying to get anything done and draw out appointments just so they can milk you for money. Your best option is to find a mechanic that can get work done without drawing it out for weeks and months. Don't waste your time with this place unless you like getting put on the back burner.

Christina in finance is a wizard with finances She is so kind and so nice and so hard-working. if you’re gonna buy a Truck or Car, you should absolutely come here and work with the best Crew In the West.

Worked with a bunch of people starting a couple days before actually ending up on the lot. Communication was great. I ask a LOT of questions and they were patient. Sales guys Micah and Patrick were great! Jake and Christina on the management and administrative side were equally as good. Very satisfied. Worth the 3 hour drive!!

Unfortunately, my vehicle had too much work that needs to be done in order to sell it to LUMS GMC but Jonny gave me his contact and extra advice on how to get things moving. Jonny is an amazing part of the LUMS GMC team !

You would have had a 5 star posting, however your texts were over the top. We don't need to receive texts 5 times when our truck is getting basic service.

They have fixed my newer gmc a few times and have offered to run codes no cost. Super nice, maybe not always helpful due in part to parts department not having available parts So, to be clear, there service center is G'money the rest can suck eggs.

After a detailed discussions with Cody in service, Lum’s service tech was able to track down a factory TSB for my vehicle’s transmission regarding symptoms we were having, but would not duplicate on technician test drive. We waited a relatively short time while the TCM was reflashed with current updated software which ended up being covered under the GM Power Train warranty. We’re currently driving our vehicle to see if that takes care of our complaint. Thank you Cody and service tech. I also dealt with Rick in parts on a part I needed and Rick was very helpful.

Customer service attempts and effort from Cody in the service dept was the only thing that made this experience even remotely bearable for me. They scheduled my truck for selejet application along with installing the tailgate kicker system (both purchased options when I bought my truck there a month ago). And I added an oil change and to install weather resistant floor mats bought off their website and shipped to the dealership. Brand new truck, zero dings in the paint. They quoted me that it would be done that afternoon. It wasn’t. But they still let me drive in the pick it up, didn’t bother telling me it wasn’t finished yet. As a matter of fact, the salesman contacted my husband to tell him the truck was ready, when it was not. Cody said… come back tomorrow afternoon and it will be done. I did a walk around the truck when I got there and noticed 3 different places where there were scratches in my paint job that were NOT there before. I pulled Cody out to look at it. He apologized and got his service manager to agree to have their detailer fix the paint the next day. Next day I go to pick it up and there were 2 NEW chips in the paint that didn’t get fixed. Seemed like the detailer was using a disc buffer that got away from him a few times and took chunks of paint off everywhere it skipped to when he lost control of it. Again, I brought it to Cody’s attention. He went again to speak to his service manager, who gave me some color match paint for my husband to fix it. I finally got my truck back (2.5 days late and damaged). But with promise to fix it again if my husband didn’t want to. Overall very frustrated with the whole transaction, but Cody was good at keeping my temper in check with his great customer service skills.

We met with Patrick Mastropoalo at Lum's GMC. Patrick was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable while helping us look at several GMC models. We enjoyed the experience and are so happy with our new GMC. We will definitely use Lum's next time we need another car or service. Thanks!

I’ve been purchasing vehicles and bringing them into your service department since 2020. We recently purchased elsewhere and had an awful experience. Your team was quickly able to diagnose a crack in the frame. The vehicle had several other issues and thankfully I was able to unwind that loan. You guys didn’t even charge me for that inspection. Amazing. I did have to purchase my next vehicle elsewhere as what I was looking for wasn’t available at Lums. I did still bring that vehicle to you guys for inspection and again was not charged and treated like family. I have since been bringing my new Tahoe to you guys for service and recently the mounting of a front license plate. I purchased the parts through your parts dept. but when I went to pay the labor for the work of installing the bracket I was once again told it was taken care of. You guys have consistently helped me with my rigs whether they are purchased through your dealership or not. Kenny and the entire team work extremely professionally but never forget to treat customers like a friend. I always recommend your dealership and service department. You guys set the bar high and have a customer for life. Thank you!!!

Great experience with Mana in sales and his sales manager regarding a high end used luxury car. No pressure and extremely honest regarding vehicle history and mechanical condition. They were very accommodating while I checked out the vehicle. Finance was also great to work with and respectful of my time.

I almost don’t want to share the great level of service I get from everyone. From the owner Mrs Lum to the salespeople and in between. Service is of charts 10+. Cody. He is a realist. He tells me what to expect on a real timeline. No false promises. I can count on them. Don’t get me wrong, mistakes are always common place. I went in for periodic service, after getting a nice “private” coupon. Probably private, as I’m a previous customer. The experience was excellent. The Service Advisor was prompt and professional. Everything I asked for was performed as requested. Comfortable waiting area. The timing of the visit was as expected, if not faster than I thought . When I left the shop, it was as if no one had touched my vehicle. Everything was clean and the work was perfectly performed. Nice job by the team. Great job by the technician.
Note: I’m an ASE Certified Technician myself, so I know quality when I see it.

This is my second vehicle from there. Great staff, and its always easy. They gave us what we wanted. The staff are kind and helpful.

All was well. I was under the impression that you had a 1 year “check up” that you gave after one year. I wasn’t prepared to pay as much as I did. Your service was fine. I also didn’t quite receive all I asked for, and, I’m to come back when the parts arrive. This will cost me another $400.00+. I guess if you drive a Cadillac, you pay Cadillac prices.

The facility is clean & comfortable. The staff is always professional, helpful, friendly & knowledgeable.
Could use a little larger waiting room but that is the only negative thing I could say. And today is the only time it's been a factor. So not a big deal.
I would highly recommend Lum's Buick GMC to anyone looking for dealership service.
