I don't even know where to start. Our project spanned two full years and he was there every step of the way. We made a claim for the May 2023 hail storm. We waited for the onslaught of roofing companies to pass through and in October 2023, we reached out to a couple of companies. One never returned our call and the other one was Michael.
Michael is so gentle, kind and caring, but more importantly for me, he was organized and consistent. We've hired a lot of contractors over the years, but Michael was different and he sets himself apart from others (bigger) in the industry. He delivered on everything he said he would...and more. He patiently answered my questions and helped ease my doubts.
I wanted to work with the insurance company because I had trust issues. I quickly found out that he had the expertise, patience, and persistence that was needed to get the insurance company to respond in our favor. At no time was he irritated or frustrated with my whimsical demands. He is not pushy and let me do what I wanted with his guidance. (let me learn the hard way).
I quickly found out he is an absolute expert in his field and there was nothing I could do other than let him do what he does best. He drafted the replacement estimate using the same software our insurance company did, so there was no confusion. He will email, call, text until he gets a response. He reached out when he didn't get responses and asked if we could try.
One other note, we have solar panels that needed to be removed prior to the roof being replaced, so he was dealing with in incompetent solar company that would not allow the panels to be removed until they were operational (that's a story for another day). He stuck with us and continued to follow up. We eventually had a break through and was able to coordinate the lift and replace with the incompetent solar company and mobilize the roofers.
This was an extremely LONG project with an additional complexity of solar panels (not usually a problem...it was the crappy company we chose). He stuck with it. He could have easily said it's not worth it and moved on, but he didn't.
We are still working with the insurance company to review the supplemental request, but I'm sure he will remain consistent and patient until the project is closed.
I cannot say enough good things about him and his company. I would absolutely recommend a thousand times over. A true professional. Thank you, Michael!
