Advocate roofing came into my neighborhood and pushed their way into filing a claim with my home insurance. They claimed that my house needed a new roof when it didn’t. Advocate roofing could not prove to my home insurance that we had hail damage to our shingles. They also told my insurance company that my house had broken windows when it didn’t. This company is a scam and don’t let them talk you into getting onto your roof to inspect it because they will lie to try and get paid. I also reached out to the sales manager and left a message. Ian never returned my phone call.

After receiving damage to my roof and other parts of my home during the May 2024 hailstorm, I was faced with the excruciating challenge of dealing with my insurance company. They initially denied my claim stating that the damage was not due to the hailstorm, rather “wear and tear”. After months of working with Ian and the Advocate team, we were finally able to get the insurance to pay for the damages and I now have a new roof. If it wasn’t for Ian and the team at Advocate, I would probably still be fighting with the insurance company. Once the work started, it was completed in less than a day. The crew did a great job! There were a few issues with some damage to my gate and dented gutters, but Ian and team were quick to have a crew out to address and repair completely within a week. Couldn’t have asked for better service!! I would recommend them to anyone in need of roof work. Their name fits perfect for what they do….they truly advocate for the homeowner and stay committed to see everything through.

I can highly recommend Advocate Roofing. I had my roof replaced by them recently and worked mostly with Ian. Communication was great – Ian and his team carefully laid out for me exactly what to expect all along the process with several personal visits, and toward the beginning of the process Edwin came out at the same time as the insurance company claims contractor, which I was surprised was allowed. I got up on the roof too and watched how Edwin worked with the contractor and was impressed. It’s in the company name – Ian and Edwin and the team really do advocate for the homeowner! They managed to get me approved, which I had doubted would happen since I’ve been denied in the past and I didn’t think my roof was in very bad condition. The Advocate team worked closely with the insurance company to get me the best payout possible. On project day, the crew was efficient, did great work, and cleaned up nicely. I’d say the whole project was a great experience all around and I’m so glad Advocate Roofing came to my door!

I was one of the many impacted by the hail storm back in May and HIGHLY recommend Advocate Roofing! Drew was amazing and fought to assure the claim covered everything damaged, not just the roof! The roof was replaced yesterday and the crew was also amazing. I wish I would have gotten a couple of their names. I work from home and live on a T… and have had all the neighbors surrounding me (front/side/back) get a new roof this past summer/fall. I would say I had the most respectful crew of everyone. Outside of being directly under the noise, I definitely had the quietest crew which was very helpful during some zoom calls. They started work right at 7am and were completed before 4pm. I also knew I had to leave a few times throughout the day and they helped me plan a route in the morning. I was greeted with a very friendly smile every time I had leave vs. frustration. I appreciated that a ton . Thank you Advocate Roofing for making this a very easy experience!

Great roofing experience with Drew and his team. They dropped materials off a couple days in advance and came by to go over what to expect. The team arrived around 7am and got the job done in 1 day, leaving nothing behind but a roofing job well done.

This entire process has been frustrating for us to get a roof. Communication has been severely lacking and I would NOT recommend using this company if you have anything else going on in your life besides installing a roof.
It started with Drew in Sales, who reassured us that he would get our HOA approval for the roof since the HOA company was the same as his own. We called him two weeks before install and then again a week before install. He assured us on both occasions that he would follow up with the HOA. He never did. It came down to the day before our roof installation and Drew had never reached out. Once this issue was escalated t0 Drew's boss, Jordan, worked with us to rectify the situation and gave us a $250 credit for our trouble (keep in mind that the credit never showed up on the bill). It was inconvenient and took time out of our day to deal with the HOA and Advocate to get anything done.
Then, the day of installation, the crew completely broke a piece of our siding off of the house and glued it back up as if we wouldn't notice. No one admitted to communicated with us about this damage, we had to find it ourselves. Their work was shoddy and they damaged our brand new screen door. Again, we escalated this to Arthur, our Construction Manager. He assured us that it would all be fixed but asked us to pay for the fix and they would reimburse us. Absolutely not.
The crew to fix the shoddy work on the roof came out 2.5 weeks after the roof was originally installed. We were told they were coming at 4pm, so we made arrangements with work to be available. They showed up at 10am, which caused chaos and inconvenience as I had to juggle work obligations. At that time, Arthur was contacted and told about the inconvenience and asked about the siding and the screen door. He indicated that he was looking for a siding contractor and asked us again to front the money, which we will not do for damage that was created by them. When asked about the screen door, he said they were working on it and didn't need any further information from us to get the replacement ordered.
Today, as I am leading an important work meeting, someone shows up knocking at the door. When I did not answer, they came to the window to wave me down. It was the siding contractor asking if they could look at the damage. I consented and went back to work. Then, I get interrupted again to ask me if I had the color of paint on the siding. Keep in mind that we had NO notice that anyone would be coming to the house today. So, again, lack of communication on Advocate's part led to chaos and inconvenience for their customer. When my husband called to escalate, he was reassured that management would be contacting us, but Arthur is who received the message, is the one who called back. He admitted that he should have called to notify us, although that was not done. My husband asked him about the screen door and Arthur said they would just come get the door and rescreen it at ACE Hardware. There is damage to the screen, but the door frame (of our brand new screen door) was also damaged and we were reassured 2 weeks ago that Arthur had everything he needed to replace it.
Almost a full month after the original installation, the siding still isn't repaired, our door has not even been ordered, yet alone replaced and there is no credit on our invoice for the original HOA oversight on their part. I will update this review when (and IF) any of those things ever get resolved.
I understand that roofing is busy right now, but I have neighbors who have had seamless experiences with other companies. I regret not going with a different company. We read reviews on Advocate and most of them were decent, but I want to make it clear that this is not a company you will want to deal with unless you have nothing else to do with your time.
Do NOT use this company. You will save yourself a lot of time advocating for yourself and your property by using a different company.

I would give this company zero stars if I could. Stay clear of this company. They are beyond shady. They helped us in the beginning get our insurance company to accept our hail claim. Their subcontractors that did the actual work were good but that’s it. Advocate lacks skills of transparency, communication, and courtesy. They didn’t tell us anything about what category or type of roof we would get. They never responded to emails, never told us when items were going to be delivered, explained costs, couldn’t answer simple Warranty information, and that’s just to name a few. After confirming the day of installation, my husband took the day off, lost wages and set up shop in our park because our dogs have a fear of noise. All this for them to be a no show and if it wasn’t for my husband, calling ( around noon) to ask when they were coming, he wouldn’t have known. Zero communication!! The next day they came for the installation and damaged our deck, burnt our grass, ran over our grass while leaving, our canned lights in our house were falling out of the ceiling, tar was all over, our gutters were pushed out more than normal and my husband found nails and roofing in between. When we reported all this, a guy came out, said that WE would have to find somebody to get it fixed and they would pay for the cost. My husband took it upon himself to fix all the issues and when we asked for money back, they offered us $1200 credit for our portion of the payment, but this was after they kept increasing the price via supplemental through our insurance with no explanation at all. Also, Drew told us not only would we get the $1200 off, we would go back to our original Agreement but then came back stating no, he needed the additional checks from the insurance once finalized. He lied and went back on his word! I asked several times for a final invoice , and when they came yesterday to collect the final check from us, we found out that the price had increased again and didn’t match what the insurance provided us. Drew, their sales person had no answers as to why there was such a discrepancy and the math didn’t match our insurance documents. He seemed in a hurry with hopes we wouldn’t catch it, in my opinion. We asked for warranty information and that was not provided and Drew couldn’t answer any questions about it. How is this possible? Understand, this wasn’t explained to us upfront either. The latest issue besides the cost not matching our last insurance supplemental doc is the permit costs increased by $185, 3 months after obtaining one. This company is beyond shady and I recommend going with any other company’s that won’t hide cost, will communicate, be transparent and be able to answer questions.

A few weeks ago, Ian showed up to our house and I hate when these guys show up. I was so skeptical because he said he had been at our house and talked to someone already and I assured him he had not. I thought it was just a ploy to get us to sign up. But boy was I wrong. Not only did he apologize for a mistake (he had been to the neighbor’s house), he gave us the best service of pretty much anything I had ever experienced. He works SO hard to get everything lined up so it’s no hassle to us the homeowner. We had a pretty tight deadline, and he met it with flying colors. Ian was simply amazing to work with. If you need a new roof, especially if you’ve had hail damage and can make a claim, I highly recommend Advocate roofing. They make the process so smooth. We are a very happy customer.

It is with extreme regularity that a prospective contractor will knock on my door and advise me that “they happen to be doing some work in my neighborhood, and therefore…” I always find their pitch to be exaggerated and I never let their fable turn into anything more than an irritating interruption. Then comes along Ian D. with Advocate Roofing, who once again invites me join the “neighborhood movement…” but I see it happening right over his shoulder as he makes his case. He continues in a very respectful low-pressure manner as echoes of blazing hammers is now coming from two different directions. Advocate was actually doing what everyone else had only fabricated, and Ian clearly knew roofing AND insurance WELL. (I managed roofing projects for Boulder County for many years). So, as I write I know of`10 homes close by having their roofs replaced by Advocate – and all seems to be going extremely well. But the purpose of my lengthy tale is that I have never seen a contractor that is as communicative and as dependable as Ian and Advocate, and they deliver everything they promise! I am a very satisfied customer may have never seen people work as hard as Jose’s crew who I was fortunate to “land.” As they ended their 12-hour day of very strenuous work, I urged them to quit their attentive clean-up and call it a day – but they would not. Jose kindly advised that they will not leave a job until the property is exactly as it was before they came. I then watched in awe as the crew compared pictures on their cellphones to those they took when they first arrived! WELL DONE!

The sales process for this company is sketchy to say the least. Drew showed up at my house, pitched me for 20 seconds without allowing me the chance to say a word. Finished his pitch with, "we are conducting free roof inspections, I'll begin now." Then he walked off. Next thing I know he has a ladder and is climbing up my house, outside of a kid's bedroom!

Not sure if this is just how Drew conducts business or if this is part of their training, either way, additional training is needed.

Ian from Advocate Roofing worked with a friend of mine and was able to get him fully approved for roof replacement paid for by his insurance company. Ian then reached out to me to provide me with a free roof inspection. I was unaware we had as much hail damage as we did but Ian and his team were able to coordinate everything with my insurance company and now I too am fully approved for roof replacement paid for by my insurance company. Ian and his team have made everything very easy and I highly recommend using them for your roofing needs.

I was previously denied a roof replacement by Allstate after a hail storm. Ian with Advocate Roofing then knocked on my door and informed me that I had been through the path of another hail storm. I was hesitant to try this process again but Ian knew a lot about how the claims process worked. He helped me set up a claim and met with the Allstate adjuster. I am happy I let Advocate Roofing take the wheel as I can now say I am fully approved for roof replacement paid for by Allstate. I highly recommend using Advocate Roofing.

When I meet Ian at my home I was a bit hesitant of the claims process. Ian did a great job at explaining the process to me and providing examples of happy homeowners in the area. This allowed me to feel comfortable to move forward with Advocate Roofing. I am now fully approved for roof replacement and I look forward to continuing to work with them.

Advocate Roofing was amazing. They were there to help every step of the way. My insurance company was difficult and they became an intermediary for me. They also did quality work and paid attention to details like wider flashing and painted my vents to match my roof.

Advocate Roofing has done an amazing job for me. My insurance company initially declined our claim even though all the other houses in the neighborhood were getting new roofs from hail damage. Advocate Roofing was here for the first inspection with my insurance company and saw that the inspector did not do a good job. Advocate did their own inspection. Took pictures. Sent pictures to my insurance company, facilitated getting a second inspection which supported my claim, and I got a full roof replacement with nothing out of pocket . Over eager sales team has put 3 flyers on my door saying that they have confirmed hail damage in my neighborhood, The salesman then was very rude when I explained to him that I was also in the restoration business and that we had not had any damaging hail in the area he stated that they still had hail maps showing hail in our neighborhood. I am sorry but there is no damage to my home or any homes that is storm related. I would be very Leary as it seems as their “waiver” to get on a roof is also a contract not to mention they also parked the wrong direction on the street and borderline blocked my driveway.

We had our roof replaced 4 years ago using another roofing company and it was not a good experience. This time was very different. Ian was very pleasant to work with. He made sure he communicated with us explaining each step in the roofing process as well as reviewing how we were being billed. We would use Advocate again

From the beginning of the process to the installation of our roof we have received excellent customer service. Our finished roof looks wonderful. The cleanup and follow thru was exemplary.

Easy to work with. The claims process was seamless between them and my insurance. Their communication was clear and thorough and I was never left to question what the status was on my project. Ian was solid!

Sure, said employee conducted himself correctly after he began to record himself. We can sit here and let the Google community judge for themselves as to who to believe, but I am not going to argue how your employee treated myself or my neighbor. Also , the said driver was never parked correctly if you want to be correct. At first, he was parked on private property but moved kindly when asked. The only problem then was that he moved into the street and blocked 1 of 2 lanes, not but 2 car lengths from a stop sign. Oh and did I mention the neighborhood streets are under construction and that the street he was blocking is the only detour route. Thanks for responding in a rude way to but if you want to try and question my integrity, then know your facts first and come more prepared. Again to reiterate what I told Drew, if he would have just moved his vehicle and not park to obstruct the neighborhood there would never have been an issue.

Had to edit my first review which was 5 stars because I was promised a nice gift card in exchange, which I never received, despite several reminders. Brody did what he did best throughout the process. False promises and messages ignored. I'm satisfied with the job itself, but communication was going well until I handed the $. I'd received delayed or no answers whenever I followed up on a specific item or had a question.

I appreciate their efforts. Making the review a 4 star. As is common with many businesses today, talent retention is a challenge. My problem stemmed from field team turnover more than anything else.

Edited April 2024: I have lowered my rating for Advocate. Recently I sold the home where Advocate replaced my roof.
During the inspection we found the exhaust pipe for the attic furnace was detached by the Advocate team. I reached out to Advocate, Isaac, who was the current sales contact, to remedy the problem and could not get an answer or my problem resolved. I had to spend my own money to fix the problem that Advocate created. Isaac is no longer with the company and there appears to be a lot of turnover.

Original review 2021: Advocate Roofing was wonderful to work with. Here is why I say that. First Joe and James walked us through the step by step process in a straight forward manner. Mostly they helped with our insurance adjuster and our mortgage company to take the week off of our plate. There was a hiccup along the way where some fluid from a supplier truck spilled on our driveway. They worked with the supplier to clean up the spill.

Great job overall!! I’ve recommended them to numerous friends.
