I was in need of a rather large deck-building project completed at my home and I'm glad I went with the recommendations I received from a handful of individuals around the area - they had recommended I use Loudoun Deck and Fence Company. Dan worked with me to create a design that would fit my needs for the planned usability of the space and was cognizant of my hope that the deck design would only minimally obstruct the surrounding views of the property, from inside the home. Dan was very responsive to any questions I had along the way and did a great job of explaining the specific details of certain aspects of the build, whenever I inquired. His team did a fantastic job and I am very happy with the craftsmanship of the build, as well as the efficiency in which they worked. I hired Dan and Wilber from Loudoun Deck and Fence to do my back landing and small lattice. I met up with Dan during summer and told him I will also be doing a patio and he gave me some recommendations on ways I can cut costs which was very nice and unlike many other contractors who just like to upsell. I ended up completing the project last week and he kept the prices the same as it was in the summer when we met. Dan sent his team last Monday to start the project, it was completed on Thursday. When they were completed, there were some minor concerns which I shared with Mary Ann, the office manager who conveyed it to Dan. Dan came back the following day to see what was wrong. He even came back on Saturday when I was home before I was having a get together and helped me clean the deck and left his hose for me to use. Dan then sent the crew back on Monday and fixed all my concerns and even did me a favor and power washed some siding and patio which was dirty from my get together. Wilber did a phenomenal job on my lattice. Turned out better than I expected. I will definitely use Loudoun Deck and Fence again for my next project.

Holy Moly what a difference a new fence makes!!!!!! A few years back, I stained a dying fence to add a few more years to it. This year it would have meant replacing boards. As I began to budget for the new boards and stain, I realized the posts were not only cracking but twisting. Yes, I could have dropped in say $1,500 in materials and then stained the new boards which might have given me a few short years. I was so glad that I called Loudoun Deck and Fence Company as they beat all prices. The work was done in one day and I did not have to lift a finger. I did have "friends" offer to build a new fence with me over a weekend. I had ZERO desire to do that. Now I have a NEW fence that the HOA has zero issues with and I will get MANY years out of this fence. I did ask for two quotes (front and one side as well as all four sides). The cost to do all four sides was great and less than I thought it would be. Thumbs up all the way and this IS the company that does it correct without nickel and diming you. Thank you!!!!!!!

Dan and his crew replaced a very old wood deck for us with a beautiful hybrid deck. I am thoroughly impressed with it, they are true craftsmen. The communication with Dan and Mary Ann was fantastic, and they were both wonderful to work with. The price of the deck was very reasonable. The Loudoun county inspector who stopped by after the deck was built said that Loudoun Deck and Fence builds the best decks in the county. He told me that Dan is meticulous about the work they do, and I can confirm that!

We had a big project -- replacing around 800 square feet of deck and an old wooden fence. Both projects were completed on time and within budget. Dan was great to work with (you clearly get the feeling that he cares about the quality of the work and the satisfaction of the customer). Very happy to work with them and would certainly use them again for a similar project.

Loudoun Deck and Fencing (LDFC) was very easy to work with, always responsive & professional and spent as much time as I needed to ask question and help me with my options. They were happy to price out both repairs and a full replacement. My deck was a 25 year old pressure treated pine and it was fully replaced with a hybrid option of Trex floor and railing, wood framing and aluminum pickets. Because my deck is above a cement patio that was put in after the original deck, they had to cut holes in the patio to remove the old support posts and then new holes for the new deck. David assured me they would be as minimally evasive to the patio as possible, and they did as he promised. The crew was on time, polite, helped to remove a few items off my deck and cleanup was spotless. To my surprise, they even sanded the wood frame around the railing to make it smooth and beautiful. I can't forget Mary Ann at the office who was also very helpful and responsive. I would highly recommend LDFC for any of your decking needs.

The project involved dismantling my old deck and rebuilding a new one. The total time was just under a week. Everything about the project was totally professional and went smoothly.

Dan patiently listened to our design ideas, offered his own suggestions or modifications and gave detailed explanations as to why we should or shouldn't design or build our deck and covered porch a certain way. You could tell that Dan truly cared about building a quality product and making sure we were not just satisfied but truly happy with the results.

Best company to work with in Northern Virginia. They are flexible and will not nickel and dime you on small changes here and there. Installation of the fence was very professional. Dan has a solution for putting Trex decking on an old deck frame which is genuine. He is a wonderful sales person that is not pushy and thinks outside of the box for solutions. Ulysses and his crew of people were fabulous. They worked had and fast. As promised they got the old deck removed and replaced the new deck in two days! Even with our aluminum undercover roof protecting the lower deck. I can’t think of anything that they could have done to make our overall experience better!

Loudoun Deck and Fence did an excellent job installing 200 feet aluminum fence with two gates for my residential property. Mary Ann was very supportive during the project, answering all my questions promptly. In addition, Wilbert helped prepare the documentation to comply with HOA fencing standards. I'm so grateful for Loudoun Deck and Fence! I'm over 70, and I was anxious about dealing with contractors. I'm so relieved! There was no pressure, no stress, no hidden costs. Only a very honest and clear interaction with estimator and, especially with the owner. The project from start to finish was a very pleasant experience. Every person involved was knowledgeable, professional, caring and courteous. The result was more than I had envisioned. My deck is beautiful, inviting and definitely my property value increased greatly. Family and neighbors agreed! They love it. After its completion there was a couple of boards with imperfections and some other minor issue that was promptly fixed when I pointed it out to the owner. Finally, I searched extensively and by far the estimate was the best.

I interviewed about 10 deck companies and did not click with any of them, and postponed my deck project. Then I saw a deck I really liked because of the craftsmanship and asked the owner which company constructed his deck. He replied "Loudoun Deck and Fence" so I gave them a call. I met with the owner Dan, and had a great consultation with him. He really took his time to discuss the project with me, gave design suggestions which we adopted, and gave me a fair price for the job. I decided to go with him and am extremely glad that I did. The communication with the company regarding the project was outstanding, due in great part to Mary Ann, the office manager. She always answered my calls and told me what to expect step by step. Work began on the date promised and was headed by Carlos. He and his coworker arrived every morning on time and put in full days work. I was never left wondering if and when they would come. The build team respected my property and were very tidy. The workmanship headed by Carlos was exceptionally detailed. The County inspector who showed up later to approve the deck knew exactly who had built it based on the quality and the details. It is rare to find a quality contractor in Northern Virginia, but I would highly recommend Dan and Loudoun Deck and Fence. We are extremely satisfied.

While we are unable to use them because we are out of their area, they were very responsive to our request for an estimate in a timely manner.

Unreliable.

Called this place to schedule a fence estimate and was told someone would get back in-touch with me in a few days. After a week I got an email from "Wilbert" asking me to list a few times to come over, I responded with several times and never heard back. I called the office back and was told they would follow-up but I never heard back.

I would agree with another poster that said they would give these guys/gals 10 stars if they could. I initially asked them to give me a proposal to replace a roughly 20 year old deck on my townhouse after being able to watch their guys build a deck on my next door neighbors house 2 years ago. Their attention to detail on the carpentry is impeccable, and they were also able to provide solutions to a couple of design issues that popped up during the build itself. We loved our deck before it was replaced due to the layout, and Loudoun Deck and Fence has only added to that, which is a tough thing to accomplish. They were able to perform at a top level throughout one of the most challenging years in our history as well. If you live in Loudoun County, look no further than Loudoun Deck and Fence to build your next deck!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. All we can say is WOW about our new deck from Loudoun D&F. From get-go meeting with Dan (owner) for getting quote to the end result was so easy, it was surprising! My wife, kids and I still just look at each other and say we can't believe we have a deck in such a short amount of time. Deck is absolutely beautiful, the fit and finish is perfect. Super clean/precise cuts/joints and the cleanup fantastic. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We couldn’t be happier! From the deck design, support with the HOA, to after the construction was finished, the entire experience was excellent. We selected a combination of Trex decking and wooden railing and they complement each other very well. These guys are so good and skilled at what they do the team removed the old deck including the posts and replaced the entire structure in three days! There wasn’t a single joint I think could have been done any better. If you are looking for an excellent deck company at very reasonable prices this is the company.

My whole experience with Loudoun Deck and Fence was great! I spoke with Mary Ann first and she was very nice and professional. She set me up with a free quote for our fence very quickly and got my project on their schedule right away. Wilbert and the installation crew did top notch work. They installed a split rail fence around my yard in just a day and the end product looks great! Would definitely recommend!

They even gave me a significant discount for the inconvenience. If this isn't customer service, I'm not sure what is. Thank you for correcting the issues and turning a negative experience around.

I had high hopes for this company and their work. I spoke with Dakota, who did an amazing job at explaining the process of replacing an existing fence to me. The issues started once the installation began. Initially, the crew did not install the fence to the proper specifications (e.g., must match the existing fencing). Mary Ann was very nice and sent a crew out to replace the fence they had just installed. However, that second crew didn't follow the property line and pushed the fence back too far. I asked Mary Ann to have the issue corrected, she sent Wilbert out, but he disagreed that the fence was outside of the property line. If he actually took the time to look, it's fairly clear that the new fence is not within my property line. There are several other issues as well. They did not use dry pack concrete (per the contract), the posts are higher than the pickets (doesn't match the existing fencing), many of the pickets are crooked, and the gate pickets are much higher than the rest of the fence. I asked Mary Ann and Wilbert to correct the issues, but now they've gone silent. They seem happy to make the sale, but their quality of work is dismal at best. I've attached the existing fence as an example of what it's supposed to look like and pictures of their quality of work. They also left a few pieces of excess material behind my fence line instead of taking it with them.

I’d like to start off by saying I’ve never written a review in my life. My wife and I decided to build a deck a few years ago, which proved to be well built and completed quite expeditiously. Earlier this year we noticed a problem that had nothing to do with the builder, Loudoun Deck and Fence Company, and contacted the owner himself, Daniel Hutchinson for some advice.

We received two emails and an almost-simultaneous phone call from Dan explaining he will resolve the issue immediately. And, within a week, the issue was resolved.

I recommend in the strongest terms this company as it stands by its product and portrays an incredible sense of customer service which in many industries is long lost.

Loudoun Deck and Fence does truly care and stand behind their service. After a year and half after installation, our dumpster gate, gate locks and a few of our fence boards needed repair in our preschool and they came out and replaced/repaired everything to our satisfaction. Very Pleased!
