I have worked with Tim for a few years now, and he has become my go-to home inspector when my clients ask for a referral. He is very thorough with his inspections and does an excellent job of conveying information to clients in a way that is easy to understand. Tim Diviney was unbelievably thorough, and answered all of my questions, really helping me understand any issues with the house, as well as giving me sage advice on some remodeling possibilities I was considering, even though that was beyond the scope of the inspection. He was happy to share not just the results of the inspection, but his deep understanding of buildings and the way things work. I was totally delighted. This was the most thorough home inspection I have ever seen.

We hired 1 True North for an inspection of our new home and are extremely happy with their services. Tim arrived early and prepared for the job, having already climbed down from a thorough inspection of the roof by the time we arrived. He was extremely detailed and professional in interactions with us and the seller. Unlike other inspectors we’ve worked with in the past, he focused on important high-cost items and future risks and trade offs we need to know as homeowners, rather than minor or cosmetic issues. After finding a leak, he thoroughly searched for secondary effects like wet insulation and new stains on the floor below. Tim let us follow along on the inspection and discussed all his findings at length. He provided a detailed report with photos of every issue found, and took the time to walk us through each item. We hired Tim to come back to re-inspect after repairs, and he was just as great the second time, remembering the issues and verifying the repairs resolved all the issues he found previously. We would highly recommend this company’s services.

5 stars isn't enough for 1 True North. Tim is the most professional and competent person I've ever hired, and I would never purchase a home without his inspection. He spent over 3 hours inspecting every crevice and deep dark hole from the far reaches of the attic to the crawl space under the house. He used a bevy of instruments to test all home components (outlets, presence of gas leaks, etc.) His report came with detailed pictures and videos to backup his analysis, which was especially invaluable when he was on the roof. The report also included make and model numbers of all major appliances and HVAC systems. I could sing his praises all day. And to top it all off, Tim was extremely friendly and personable; I felt very comfortable asking any and all questions. His inspection and insight made all the difference in my home buying. Tim, thank you for your hard work and dedication to your craft!

1 True North Inspections does a very thorough job in a calm professional manner. Inspections can be intense and he is great to work with - also very easy to read reports.

Tim showed up earlier than we did for the job and we were early ourselves. He went straight into the inspection and was very on top of everything. After the inspection he went through with us what he had found and how we can manage our future home. The price for the inspection was also great!

He explained every aspect of the inspection thoroughly once the inspection was completed. Furthermore, he provided a detailed inspection report electronically within hours after the inspection. The level of detail he provided verbally and in the report we greatly appreciated because he educates the home buyer and conveys in his assessment minor and major issues which helps the prospective home buyer arrive at a more informed assessment that will inform their decision-making. The report contained photos of every aspect of the inspection and detailed notes that accompanied the photos. This is my second home purchase and 1 True North was far more detailed in this inspection compared to my previous purchase with a different inspection company. Glad we went with 1 True North! Tim was very friendly to us and thorough with his inspection, explained everything to us, and answered all of our annoying first-time-home-buyer questions. We also needed the inspection performed within 5 days of when we started looking for inspectors and Tim was willing and able to perform the inspection at our house an hour away from their office on the July 4th Holiday... and he had the report ready for us that same night!
