This is an incredibly professional and trustworthy company. The folks here took on our storm damage repair project and turned what should have been an extremely stressful into an exciting opportunity.

Locke and Ladder was prompt, professional. When they explained the work, gave details. I had multiple quotes for the work I had completed. The were the most thorough in their presentation, price quote.

My wife and I were impressed from start to finish. Caleb, with 17 years in the roofing business, was clear and capable in presenting roofing options. Caleb aimed for good surprises, and avoiding bad ones, in developing a proposal and associated costs. The roof and gutter crews were pleasant and hard-working despite the intense heat. And we feel good about Malarkey, the roofing manufacturer, which has developed a high quality product that is beautiful and sensitive to the environment.

Caleb from Locke & Ladder came out to my house for some minor repairs and inspected the roof after a wind storm. He was very polite and knowledgeable and pointed out some issues with the roof and siding that I hadn’t been aware of. I will defiantly be calling him when it is time to fix these issues or any others that come up.

I felt like Caleb really explained everything we needed to know to make an informed decision. I really liked the template showing every cost prior to us deciding. The job was done quickly, no hiccups.

Scheduled four visits/Estimates for getting home's roof replaced... shingles and whatever needed to be done once old shingles were removed. Cottage/home in Rocky Ripple is unique and interesting. I wanted the attic to be inspected to make sure all was well in that area; there was leakage when we had crazy tornado-warning/windy/raining episode.

Caleb Sparks, Senior Project Director at Locke & Ladder, knocked it out of the ballpark - inspection, detailed quote, communication, overseeing the project day-of, cleanup afterward... Price was within range of others. It was a no-brainer. (He was the only one who checked out the attic thoroughly; one other Estimate/inspection person poked their head up but didn't enter... the other two didn't even go that far.) I wish I'd taken Before pix, but here are some of the Afters. Oh yeah, the vents were added too.

Locke & Ladder from the get-go was responsive, professional, and reliable. They use great materials, explained the process, and got the job done on time. Their workers were respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves every evening. No nails or debris were left on the driveway or in the bushes, and nothing was damaged or left in disarray.

Overall getting a new roof was a positive experience. We had several leaks emerging from our old roof, but that's not an issue any longer! Looking forward to checking off another item from the "no longer need to worry" list!

I highly recommend Locke & Ladder for roof replacement. We called them after the storms in April. Jay was our contact. He showed up the first day just to get a look around. He didn’t bring his truck with his big ladder thinking our house was a single story. We talked, he left and about an hour later he returned with his truck & the big ladder to tarp the exposed areas of our roof and never asked for compensation. He returned on Saturday with samples of shingles and a very professional presentation. The crew showed up on time. They covered everything and got to work. They worked all day even when it started to lightly rain. They cleaned up everything so well you’d never know they were here and out took looks beautiful. Great company, very professional. Cannot recommend them enough.

We highly recommend Locke and Ladder. We had new roofing put on our house and garage, along with a new metal roof on a shed. They also put up new guttering .We worked with Jay throughout the whole process and he is fantastic. Communication is number one in my book and he did such a fantastic job of that. Being a realtor, I had some clients who needed siding repair in order for their house to sell. I reached out late and night, and Jon, the President, personally reached out first thing the next day. My house would not have gotten the new roof and siding it needed without the help of Jay and the team at Locke & Ladder. They spent over a year going back and forth with my insurance company to get them to cover all new siding and at least 50% on the roof. They originally only paid out $230 for my roof. Jay came in and got the job done. He was nice and patient even when I wanted to wait until warmer weather to put the siding on. I never felt pushed into anything and he would explain anything I didn't understand.

We had a complex gutter replacement that involved replacing a good portion of our front facing roof. The knowledge and craftsmanship was outstanding for a house built in 1900. Jonathan Jeffries and his team are superior! They did a rapid and thorough evaluation of several roofing issues that we inherited at the time we purchased our house several years ago. One was a peculiarity of the roof anatomy that resulted in ice dams every winter leading to leakage inside a wall of the laundry room. The second was a gutter drainage defect that diverted rainwater and allowed it to pass directly in front of the back door. Jonathan was amazingly clever in developing solutions to both of these issues and he and his team executed the indicated repairs in a timely and efficient manner. What a huge relief to have this issues solved!!!!

It’s been a few days since Locke and Ladder completed the project at my home, and I couldn’t be more pleased with their work. They tackled my unusually complex roof layout, resolved issues from the previous installation (including leaks and ventilation), replaced all the gutters and downspouts, and significantly improved my home’s insulation.

This company came out and actually inspected the 3 attic accesses and offered a detailed, thorough plan of action.

Locke and Ladder saved the day and our house! In March, our house sustained hail and wind damage. By the time Locke and Ladder arrived for an inspection, our roof and siding were pretty sad looking. We worked with Jay and he was absolutely amazing! He educated us on the types of shingles and siding available. He answered all of our questions and there was no pressure to purchase. Jay worked diligently with our insurance company and always kept us updated throughout the process. We couldn't have asked for a better project manager. We used Locke and Ladder to install a new exhaust fan on our roof and address some other problem areas. They did a thorough inspection both externally and from within the attic, taking pictures so that we could fully understand everything that needed to be fixed. I never felt like they were trying to oversell us on repairs.

We had such a good experience with them that we chose to use the company to replace the siding on our house. Jon worked with us to select colors and siding styles, to ensure that we would be happy with the final look of the house. I appreciated that Jon spoke to me, and didn't direct answers and questions just to my husband. As a part of the job, the team removed the old siding, installed new siding, and then put on the new siding. Thanks to the new insulation, we haven't needed to run the air conditioning as much and the hottest bedroom in the house has stayed cooler. The house also looks a lot nicer. We have had several neighbors stop us to compliment us on the new appearance of the house.

We're working with Locke and Ladder again to get guard on our gutters.

UPDATE: We had another limb fall on our roof causing enough damage to require a small repair. I reached out to Jonathan and he was at our house the next morning to assess the damage. He even performed a temporary repair to protect the area from rain getting in...before we officially hired him for the job. As soon as the electrical work that needed to be done was completed, his team was onsite to fully repair the roof, just 48 hours after I initially contacted them. I continue to be impressed by Locke and Ladder's response time, quality work, and affordable prices, and would recommend them to anyone whether you need a small repair or full roof/gutter/soffit replacement.

December 2023: I HIGHLY recommend Locke and Ladder! We had damage to our roof and part of our soffits/gutters from a storm this summer and once insurance approved a new roof Locke and Ladder was there every step of the way! Their response time, communication and attention to detail were far superior to other contractors we reached out to for quotes. Jonathan took the time to go line by line over our insurance estimate and explain what was going to be covered and why. Once inspected, he informed us that he felt insurance should be covering more to bring our home up to code and worked directly with THREE different insurance adjusters to make sure it happened. He was always accessible for any questions that came up and kept us informed throughout the entire process...from insurance estimate to picking out materials to materials delivery and then all the way through install. His installation crew was polite and tidy and worked hard to get the job done. Any hiccups were addressed immediately. Jonathan came back after install to ensure all nails were picked up and the job was done to company standards. Overall, Jonathan helped us get a complete new roof (including several new decking boards), gutters, soffits and painted fascia board fully paid for by insurance and effectively having us spend less out of pocket than our deductible. If you are looking for an honest, local, affordable contractor for roofing/gutters (especially if insurance is involved) look no further than Locke and Ladder!
