We had a bad storm come through that tore shingles off our roof, and Live Oak Exteriors was incredible from start to finish. I contacted Seth, and he came out the following Monday to assess the damage and tarp the roof. He handled everything with our insurance company, which made the whole process completely stress-free.

Our project manager, Luke, had his crew out and they got the entire roof replaced and cleaned up in just one day. Everyone was professional, efficient, and respectful of our property.

The company did a great job on my and two of my neighbors' roofs. They did what they said they would do , they're on time, get the job done in a timely manner and sweep the lawn with a magnet when finished in order to make sure there are no nails left on the ground. I had a horrible experience with Live Oak. They seemed reputable and I had neighbors with decent experience. They replaced my roof but I had over a year of leaking afterward (that i caught early on and had them come out early on) that they had to keep coming back to fix flashing and water test for leaking into the attic, had to have a second opinion and proof of that before they took further action to tear up some shingles and rotten decking and chimney flashing in order to fix it finally. There is still leaking, similar to what was happening before that was “fixed” but they say it is the chimney itself and not their work… but we shall see if that is the case for this final continuing issue… my 2 year warranty is ending with them and i’m still not positive their poor work is the continued issue at this point so i have to find someone else to fix whatever issues are left. The only good side of Live Oak is them coming out and addressing the continued issues.

We sustained some minor roof damage from Hurricane Helene and was having a difficult time getting anyone to see us. Nate from Live Oak Exteriors stopped in because they were working in our neighborhood and noticed the damage. Boy are we glad they took the time to stop and see if they could help as they did a great job from beginning to end. They were fast and responsive on preparing a fair quote and providing documentation of licensure and insurance. They worked closely with our insurance coming, even coming on site to work with the adjuster to get the claim approved. They advised us along the way on roofing selection, color, etc. Luke, the project manager, had checked in a day or so before installation to advise us what to expect and coordinate everything. The day of installation they showed up with a big crew, used covering tarps, and knocked out an entire roof replacement in about 6-7 hours. Everyone there from Nate to Luke, to the roofing crew and people I talked to in the advice were very polite and helpful. They all seemed genuinely interested in making things as simple and easy as possible while doing a quality job on a high quality roof. I highly recommend them.

Company was the best. Quality products and will do anything to make you happy and get the job done. Luke and Jesse were great. Would highly recommend.

Don't make the same mistake I did. Dave knocked on my door, claiming there had been a recent hailstorm and offering to check my roof. I mentioned that the roof was only 3 years old, but he insisted he could see damaged shingles from the driveway. Reluctantly, I let them inspect the roof. After taking an unusually long time, they came down and showed me 'hail damage'—but only on the backside of the roof.

Something felt off. They were pushing hard, trying to pressure me into acting immediately, warning me about potential water leaks. Their urgency seemed more about scaring me into a quick decision.

Thankfully, I called another roofer for a second opinion. Here's what I learned:

The only supposed 'hail damage' was on the back, and without evidence on key areas like the vents, insurance wouldn't cover it.
Letting someone on my roof actually voided my warranty, which they knew since it’s a new roof. The second roofer did their inspection with a drone instead.
Please, learn from my experience and be cautious!

Live Oak Roofing was introduced to us when our neighbors had their roof installed a few weeks ago. My husband and I knew this needed to be done for our house, too. We talked Josh Holbert, who came and examined our roof and showed us that we did indeed, need a new roof. The following Monday the project manager, Luke McLaine, and his crew came and went to work. That crew did a great job and worked hard all day long. We are so happy and proud of the results.

We had planned to replace our roof after the latest hurricane showed us that we had leaks that we had to fix. We were reviewing who to call when we got a chance to watch a new roof go up on our neighbors house that was also completed by Live Oak Exteriors and Roofing. It went up in one day with no problems and our neighbor was very satisfied. We worked with Josh Holbert and Luke McClain to discuss our roof and to get a quote. One week later we had a new roof. We were very satisfied with the work.

Live Oak does a phenomenal job of communicating with you about all the steps in the process. We had Bradley help us out, he pointed us in the right direction and had everything complete in less than a week!

Can't enough great things about Seth and Luke at Live Oak. My insurance company (State Farm) was being very difficult to work but the guys at Live Oak stayed after them and kept me in the loop the whole time. Called Live Oak in a panic when I found out my homeowner’s insurance would not be renewed unless I had roof replaced. I had five days to get it done! I was really lucky to get Jesse Dobson on the phone. He was incredibly kind and helpful. We had a signed contract that afternoon and a new roof a few days later. I dreaded the actual work because I have four big dogs and a profound dislike for chaos. The project manager, Blayne Taylor, made the process nearly painless. His crew finished in a day and left my yard cleaner than it was when they arrived. I recommend these guys wholeheartedly!

Live oak was wonderful to work with. We had several companies come out to try and sell us a roof but Boone Allard was the only person to come out and walk me through EVERYTHING that was wrong and what their recommendations would be including pictures as well as a video of what all he was seeing. On the day the work was done, the PM, Blayne Taylor, was wonderful as well. He was communicating with me all day and made sure I was aware with pictures as well as discussions on where we were in the process and anything else they found while working. Both Boone and Blayne walked through everything when it was complete to make sure we were happy with everything including cleanup.

Friday, 31 May, 2024, Live Oak Exteriors replaced a much needed new roof on our 5900 sq ft, 3-level home. Although we considered several other highly rated roofing companies that were competitive in price and services, we chose Live Oak Exteriors due to their exceptional ratings, professionalism, great attention to our needs, and the overall communication and follow-up while addressing our questions and concerns. We are SO GLAD we contracted with Live Oak Exteriors with the replacement of our new Owens Corning - Duration architectural shingles, the replacement of an old skylight with a new Velux skylight, and the rebuilding of our chimney with new plywood and Hardie siding.

Seth Pickens, Salesman and Steven Dobson, Sales Manager communicated well throughout the emtire process prior to the install date, then Seth Pickens and Blayne Taylor, Project Manager were on-site to oversee the crew of about a dozen hardworking roofers, who continuously cleaned up throughout the process, were very efficient while still maintaining SAFETY, details, all while respecting our property.

We now look forward to having Live Oak Exteriors return to replace our failing siding with Hardie, in addition to installing new rain gutters, gutter guards, and downspouts.

Extremely friendly and very fast from getting the quote and insurance company approval it was extremely easy and MR Conor the project manager for my installation and his crew were amazing. They arrived early and worked hard and completed the job in one day. And expertly removed all the debris from my home. MR Stephen was the expert who helped us get the roof inspection done and approval from our insurance company. He consistently updated us on any new developments and was always available to help. Terrible experience!!
Destroyed our landscaping. Didn’t clean up after completing the job. They replaced the roof on our pavillion as well as the house. Destroyed the wooden ceiling in the pavillion and the roof on the house had a severe leak. They did send someone to come out to grind down the nails and paint the ceiling in the pavillion. Paint made it look a little better but it is still severely damaged. Roof on house looks nice but leaked. They did send someone to “repair the flashing” problem but we had severe damage to ceiling and wall in bedroom. Withheld a little money from them but it didn’t come close to covering the landscaping that we had to replace or the cost of the ceiling and wall repairs. Beware!!

We just got our whole roof done and the team was awesome. Luke was a great site supervisor and very helpful. Jordan was the initial salesman and was communicative leading up to the day of install. The entire job took only a day and the crew was respectful of the property and cleaned up as if they were never here. I highly recommend using Live Oak for your roofing needs. The entire process was seamless and a pleasure to work with.

Boone, sales rep – Boone has to be one of THE BEST customer-facing employees I’ve ever dealt with in a company. He's just awesome!!
From the first day to the last day of our interactions, he was so friendly, helpful, always available by phone or text, checked in with me throughout the process, easy to chat with about non-roof things and he even brought some donuts one day to cheer me & my daughter up when I mentioned we were having a rough day. I mean who does that?? BOONE DOES!!! I regret that he had to deal with me during a rough patch in my personal life & that he's seen me cry at least twice, but bless his heart he was never weirded out, just kind & even motivating. LOL I legit interacted with him more than anyone else in the company & he was so easy to deal with and friendly I feel like I gained a new buddy.
He was very respectful of the time I had, professional, he took the time to show me all pieces of product used in the roof replacement process (this was a big selling point for me - I could tell the products were very good quality & liked how much more there was to their replacement process than what a basic builder’s grade roof install entails).
My replacement had to be orchestrated with my insurance company, USAA, and while I was copied/contacted by them regularly, I was very impressed & beyond thankful that upon my giving them approval to speak directly to Live Oak as well that Boone took on a lot of the work to deal with them, uploading documents as needed, replying to emails from them I was also copied on. I never felt concerned that something was going to get dropped or a delay would occur. Quite the opposite, once the contract was signed, Live Oak was ready to order the materials within 2-3 weeks & scheduled the replacement super-fast. Boone did have to make s few extra trips to my house to explain things to me & keep me on track with what was needed from my side but he never acted put out or annoyed, always kind & happy to help. Also, even if I had questions or needed help with something that wasn’t really his place to help with, he made a point to answer, find out from someone else, or get my issue resolved.
Tyler, sales manager – Very knowledgeable of the process, understanding of my financial/personal situation at the time of the estimate/review of the process which directly affected my ability to go into the contract of the roof & if I would be able to afford to make the jump. He was up front about the financial process as well & able to work with me as best he could. Very happy with the outcome of the options available to me.
Luke, project manager – On time, very nice, took the time to call me or knock on door to give me any updates as the work team moved through the process that day.
Workers – Polite, respectful of my home, worked fast & efficiently, moved a dog house for me then made a point to move it back before they left as I could not pick it up myself. They started around 6:30am/done by 2:30pm!

UPDATE TO REVIEW (2024): I'm adding to this review because Live Oak replaced some of my gutters as well as the roof. They did a fine job with the roof (as you can see from my review below). But the gutter job was left unfinished. I followed up multiple times to get them to come out and complete the job, and they never did. So, I just gave up.

OLD REVIEW (2022): Had a great experience with Live Oak for my roof repair/install. Jase was my first point of contact. He had excellent customer service skills and kept me informed of the process and always answered my questions. Blayne was the supervisor on site the day of the install and he also kept me updated through the day's progress. Both have excellent communication skills and are very polite. The crew worked fast and diligently and they did a very clean job. I'm very pleased with their service and would recommend them.
