I really wanted to give a great review but I've just had enough with this company. I have been working with Matthew Gomez since 7/30/24 for storm damage. I had a difficult time getting someone to remove a very large tree in my backyard before we could start on the roof and gutter repairs. The tree removal company was recommended by Matthew. I was so frustrated with the tree company as they made appointments, did show up & then Matthew made excuses that ended up to be lies. Not to get into that company but when that was complete, I immediately reached out to Matthew to get the roof & gutters started. I have been given numerous dates to start & numerous excuses when no one showed up. Then Matthew sends a contract out & wants me to sign right away. The contract had totals not broken down & was WAY off from what my insurance was covering & what I discussed with Matthew wanting done. I had to have him revise several times & then demanded a breakdown of charges. I have left texts & voicemails with Matthew & he has ghosted me. I spoke with another contractor & they have been getting customers of Lightning Exteriors that are fed up & have numerous complaints. Matthew treats you like family, has you convinced he's looking out for you & offers upgrades for free to keep you loyal and then ghosts you. I am thankful I did not sign a contract and give him any money. Terrible service

Don't trust these guys. They are going door to door offering to help people commit insurance fraud. They are covering deductibles which is illegal and can be a felony for parties involved. If they're willing to cheat insurance companies, they're probably willing to cheat their customers.

Your rep told me word for word that we will "take care of your deductible". You may want to look into what your employees are promising people at the doorstep.

I wanted to give a shoutout to Matthew Gomez. He has been helping one of my customers battle with a stubborn claims rep over a roof replacement. Not everyone would be willing to do this, but Matthew has gone above and beyond. I will be referring him to our other customers.

Pleasantly surprised with Lightning Exteriors following up on our roof they installed last year. They do great work and care enough to check in and offer a curtesy inspection after some recent storms. It confirms we hired the very best!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Dan Steinspring of Lightning Exteriors who replaced the roof of the home of my late wife’s stepfather. Throughout the entire process Dan was always in constant communication with me on the schedule and progress of the job. My stepfather in law (91 years old) at one point during construction became very agitated and nervous with the noise. Dan (who was on site during construction) immediately stepped in to speak to him and contact me about the situation. His care and concern for my father in law was very impressive and beyond the extent of his responsibilities. Dan and his crew did a high quality job with professionalism and care. I would recomend them for any roofing project.

Professional and honest!!!! So polite and great customer service. Gave an honest inspection on my roof unlike the other companies that inspected it. Will use this company in the future for siding, gutters and outside lighting.

We built our home 26 years ago and this was the first time we ever got storm damage
So we were very worried about the process, who to hire, how does it all work, etc.
Our daughter is our Shelter Insurance agent and one day a man wearing a Marine cap came into her office he was from Lightning Exterior. Our family is full of Marines so she told me to call him!
We are SO glad we did we all call him Dan the Marine but his name is Dan Steinspring.
He showed up and walked us threw the process he was also here when the man from our insurance company came to inspect for damages” Dan said he didn't want them to miss anything.
Everything worked like clockwork ever crew was very professional in their job and very clean and tidy. Dan was always making sure the WE KNEW what was going to happen and when. After the job was all completed Dan the Marine came to sit down with us to make sure everything was ok.And it was......
We could not have picked a better company.
So if you in the fence about who to hire don't be call this company.

Just had our roof done. No storm damage just time for a new one. Dan was very good to work with. Start to finish we were informed about everything going on. Lots of obstacles to work around landscaping and stuff. Making it a little more difficult for them. After clean up no damage and everything looks excellent. Thanks Dan and your crew good job.
