If you call to ask if they have something you're put on hold repeatedly, and no one ever picks up. If you drive over because no one will talk to you on the phone you find that they have a very pedestrian stock of lumber of mediocre quality. Zero high quality materials or finish grade hardwoods/softwoods. When I found a young person who worked there and was willing to help, they had know knowledge of lumber at all despite working out in the yard. Looks to me like corporate is cutting costs by keeping wages low and service is suffering. I'd go elsewhere if you can.

What an awesome crew! In store staff is helpful and moves with a purpose. We had an order delivered to the house, the delivery man was very professional and went out of his way to help! Will be a return customer here!

Friendly staff and good variety of products. Wish they carry pool supplies though, which are hard to find in this community.

Great place if you are looking to shop local and avoid the big orange box store. When they do their big 20% off sale they allow you to put cash on an account so that when you spend that money you get the same 20% off that you would have with the sale. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good selection. Quality products. It is my first stop when I need lumber or hardware.

Went looking for a wooden mailbox/address post and finally found a quality post at Perkins. Home Depot and even Hamshaws had terrible wooden posts.

Good place to go we couldn't find any lanolium anywhere and we stopped in just for a chance and Mr. Ranslow. Was super helpful. Good prices on the items we purchased. But you definitely want to shop around and price what your looking for.

I try to buy local but every time I go to Perkins I find the service lacking. Let's compare Perkins to the big bad box store Home Depot. At Perkins you walk to the back of the store, order what you need, (haven't seen what you are buying yet) you go out in the yard and search for what you bought. When you ask for help, they point in a general direction and say "over there". Home Depot, everything is under one roof, the isles and racks are clearly marked. If you need help an employee actually takes you to the product you are looking for. Then after you have found what you need you pay for your items. Oh yeah, and as is typical with a big bad box store there prices are cheaper. The reason the box stores thrive? Because they do it better. It sucks because I want to buy from local businesses, but it sure is frustrating when you pay more for poor service.

Awesomest lumberyard, great kitchen cabinets, counters, lighting, mailboxes, hardware, tools, huge selection of everything you need to build, fix, remodel, freshen up your home! Great selection of flooring, roofing, even larson storm doors with built in doggie doors, the contractors & homeowners one stop shop! Did I mention that they have Weber grills too. I’ve been shopping there for 25 years and it’s an awesome store. Tax-free NH. Staff is #1!

Needed Stainless steel bolts and hardware, they have a large selection of Stainless including metric, got everything I needed in one stop.

They have a pretty solid inventory inside, and a great lumberyard out back.

The prices are pretty competitive, and the staff are super helpful.

Totally awesome! They are the only place around that carry bio bricks that I know of. And they deliver for $26. If you buy more than 4 pallets, the delivery is free! Thanks for keeping me warm this winter, without worrying about whether the wood is dry or not!

Was very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff. The gentleman at the paint counter was very polite and helped me pick the right paint for my project. Garrett is also very helpful and professional with sales, and definitely go to guy for any questions. Grateful for this local business! Thanks guys!

Store is not laid out to easily walk through. Lots of walkways into other rooms. Very crowded. You cant even think straight because it is jam packed. i would have spent more time just lookung around but i always felt as though i was walking into a private office. Sales people were accomodating and very kind and helpful. It looks as though it got bigger and bigger but just didnt accomodate ease of access. Overall, very nice staff....just way to crowded.
