LaPrade Roofing & Restoration

We hired LaPrade Roofing and Restoration for two major projects on our new build. We had them complete our roof and our Diamond Kote Smart Siding. Our home was relatively large and had a complex roof (12/12 pitch with dormers). They did excellent work. They were on time and completed the work as agreed upon, as well as with great quality. The pricing matched and/or was below what we had been given by others. They also cleaned up and left the site better than when they started. I would highly recommend Jonathan and his crew at LaPrade.

Jonathan was fabulous to work with. Our roof was done in less than a week after signing the contract. The roof was done in less than 2 days. The crew were very hard workers and they did a fantastic job. Thank you.

Called La Prade about replacing my hail damaged roof. They completed the inspection and presented an estimate. I had used La Prade before so accepted estimate immediately.

The work was done in one day on the house and detached garage. I was very pleased with the crew and work they did. I was also surprised with the speed and workmanship of Tim's crew. They did an excellent job.

I called Tim last week and asked for a quote to remove and replace the shingles on my home. He and his crew leader Omar both stopped by the same day I called. I had a quote and was on the schedule by the end of that same day. They arrived yesterday, less than a week after I called. Removed and replaced the entire roof in one day! They did a fantastic job of cleaning up and none of our plants around the edges of the house were damaged in any way. This level of service is very rare these days. VERY PROFESSIONAL! My recent experience with LaPrade Roofing and Restoration was entirely positive, as was an earlier 2017-2018 interaction after considerable home damage from wind and hail. The recent job was a minor roof repair involving considerable travel to replace or reposition a few concrete roof tiles; however, I needed the work completed quickly to prevent a delay in selling a home. Tim Boldt responded quickly to my calls, and kept me informed regarding scheduling. Omar Rivera, the team leader, described the condition of the roof as he inspected and repaired it, finding additional tiles that needed replaced. The work was completed less than a week after contacting Tim, who went above and beyond expectations in very rapidly providing a bill marked paid for rapid submission to my buyers' realtor. We had them roof our house. At that time we were given a 20 year warranty. The wind has blown shingles off our roof. I have tried multiple times to contact them with no response. It's very disappointing. The gentleman we worked with initially was a true businessman. Now they aren't. Think twice before using them.

I have hired LaPrade Roofing to replace 2 damaged roofs on 2 different properties about 8 years apart. The advice on products appears to have been spot on as both roofs look great and are in excellent condition, even the older one which still looks like new after numerous hailstorms (Class IV shingles were used). The roofing crew, which was the same team each time, works very efficiently. They are also respectful of personal property - no damage to plants or gutters and all debris removed. I had an excellent experience with Tim Bolt and his company, LaPrade Roofing, in Spearfish. The hail storm of June 4, 2020 badly damaged both my home and shop roofs. LaPrade Roofing was recommended by a friend and did a great job replacing my asphalt roofs.

Tim has an experienced crew of about a dozen men that he organizes roofing work for. Tim interfaces with the home owner and insurance company to form an equitable contract. In my case I chose to upgrade to Class IV impact resistant shingles at a modest additional cost. LaPrade completed the work on time without any unforeseen problems.

I highly recommend this company for your roofing needs. The owner, Tim Boldt, is very responsive in terms of returning calls, and he checks in before and during the time the work is being done. His crew finished our three-story house in one day, and they worked 12 hours to get it done. They too were friendly and hard-working. Their clean-up after was exemplary - no nails, extra materials blowing around, nothing was left in the yard or anywhere else in the yard. A great experience to work with this entire company.

LaPrade reroofed the University Townhome, nine unit complex in October 2019. Under severe weather conditions they completed the project in a timely manner and within the insurance estimate. LaPrade roofing did a great job on our 36 unit apartment complex. They were efficient, professional and very good to work with. They did what they said they would, when they said they would do it. They got our job done on time even though there was a blizzard that occurred in the middle of it. I have nothing but good things to say about this company.

n 2015 we hired LaPrade Construction to redo our roof. In one day they removed the old shingles, repaired any defects, installed new vents and applied new shingles. They were respectful of our property and removed all debris including any fallen nails. All work was done in an efficient, professional and timely manner.
In April of 2019 we had a roof leak and called Steve LaPrade to check our roof. What he found had nothing to do with the roof. It was deterioration of our chimney. Steve and a co-worker made the necessary repairs after a special trip to get the correct chalk. All the chimney work was done at no charge to us.
This is a company that takes pride in their work and customer satisfaction goes beyond expectations as witnessed in fixing a problem that was not theirs.
