I normally don’t leave reviews, but I wanted to show some support because one of my best friends works at KVN Construction—and I’ve heard nothing but great things. It’s clear they genuinely care about their team and go above and beyond for their clients. They’re professional, honest, and take pride in doing things the right way. If you’re looking for a company that values both their work and their people, KVN is it!

KVN Construction is highly recommended! We had the entire gamut done on our house which included the Roof, Windows, Siding and Paint. The entire process was explained in detail at the before the contract was signed, then had a field manager with us during each step of the work. All crews were professional and provided high quality work using high quality materials. We have received nothing but compliments and neighbors wanting to know who did the work.

I can’t say enough good things about KVN. We slogged through a lot of ambiguous quotes.The KBN quote was by far the most detailed and easiest to understand. The sales rep demonstrated every step the workers would take, every material they would use, to keep our house water tight for years. The costs were clearly outlined. I expected the total to be unaffordable but it was in same ballpark as another quote we received that was inferior. Plus they have 0% financing for 12 months if you qualify . Any potential repair outside the contract was photographed and had to be approved by us. We had only one hour of repair for a small area of dry rot. The siders, gutter installers and painters worked with precision and kept the mess to a minimum. We feel very secure as we enter our retirement years in our water-tight house!

Mia, the saleswoman, has been lovely and a pleasure to work with in contracting for a new roof. The company is working hard to fit us in ahead of another project that we need to have done, in order to beat the rains this fall. I really appreciate a family business that takes care of clients and workers, and always try to choose one over a large, more impersonal company.

Will update when the project is complete, but it's been a good experience so far and I expect that to continue.

KVN Construction did an excellent job re-siding and painting our entire 2,400 square foot home. The whole project was done in three weeks, including tear down of old siding, and caused us no inconvenience. Great care was taken to protect the surrounding property and landscaping. We had James Hardie Plank siding project with KVN... During the vinyl siding removal process, team discovered that frames around the house were rotted due to water damaged that was not noticeable when vinyl sidings were on. Water damages caused by the builder didn't follow building code ( No waterproof material under vinyl siding). We were very stressful with this major discovery. Fortunately, KVN introduced Ben to our repair projects, he is very skillful, fast with quality work. Each day, he reports his progress and schedule next work with us. We are so pleased with his excellent performance to ease our stress. Thanks Ben and the KVN Team!! :-)

KVN Construction did an excellent job of replacing the siding on my home! Their attention to detail never waivered throughout the project. The videos by which their field managers communicated with me was a much appreciated professional touch. As issues arose and needed clarification, their project manager was only a phone call away. Although the majority of the work was performed in January, the exterior painting had to wait until Spring time. Luckily, a stretch of warm, sunny weather in April allowed their painting crew to apply both coats of paint with sufficient drying time between each. Am I happy with KVN and the job they performed? Heck yes! I will be very pleased to recommend them to others. They are a reliable and conscientious group!

The KVN team re-sided our house with Hardie Plank and the outcome is fantastic. Throughout the process they were communicative and accessible. Any question I had was answered in a timely fashion. The price of the project was the most reasonable bid we received out of at least three. Their access to the complimentary paint color specialist was especially helpful. Overall, KVN did a great job! We had both windows and siding done at the same time. To make the job more difficult, it was during the January. We were fortunate that there was a stretch of good weather for two weeks. The job was completed as promised. The staff was always in communication and the installers were very nice. Jesse communicated every day with us to let us know how it was going.
We were a initially a little put off by the process of getting the quote, as it was a presentation that took about two hours. We've been through these kinds of presentations before just to find out how expensive the project would be. After David's presentation we felt that KVN was very organized and professional. He went though in great detail the products and how they would be installed. He had some very helpful suggestions on window styles and siding accents. We were prepared for some outrageous price. BEST OF ALL, the price was very competitive!
Ben was also very helpful with the windows. We had a couple of Milgard windows that had issues but Jesse has arranged for a Milgard representative to get these corrected.
The project also offered a one hour consultation with a designer to help with paint selection.
We would highly recommend KVN based on our experience.

I had KVN replaced 13 windows in my house and redo the siding on two sides. I had old T11 siding that was buckling, warping, and rotting in certain places. Other places were just fine. His crew removed all the old damaged pieces and replaced them with solid plywood and then covered everything with Hardie plank horizontal siding to match the other two sides of the house. Where they found water damage after removing the old siding they repaired that before covering it up. The damaged part was done on a time and material basis and the owner had previously told me, though he could not guarantee a price for that, the estimate he gave me verbally was right on. His crew were friendly and efficient to work with. The work they did was professional and flawless. Since I had previously replaced the siding on another side of my house myself, I was quite the critic on the quality of their work so when I say it’s five star, it’s really five star. Afterwards they painted the entire house. I was given the option of having them paint just the sides that they worked on or painting everything; and, for the small additional cost, I did the whole thing. I’m really glad I did because they did a wonderful job in the house looks great. Their bid was not the lowest bit I received, but after talking to the owner Oleg, in assessing his great knowledge of the type of work I was asking him to bid, I picked his company and am very glad I did. Yes it was a big price tag, but when the house needs to be fixed, it needs to be fixed. I hope this helps you choose this company for your project.

We love our finished product but the process left a bit to be desired. From our initial consultation with the salesperson, until the completion of the project we experienced several misunderstandings and even a few change orders, due to our contract not covering all the details. There were too many people involved, which made communication an issue. Overall, the completed product looks good but lacks a few of the attention to detail aspects we were told about by the salesperson.

KVN's slogan of "Go With the Pros!" is true. These folks did an excellent job of residing our home and painting the exterior. I highly recommend them, and would call upon them in a heart beat for future projects.

My wife and I had KVN redo the siding on our 120 year old home in NE Portland and they did a beautiful job! We purchased the house a year ago and knew going in that the siding was in rough shape and would have to be completely replaced. We had a bit of a complicated existing condition (2 layers of partially rotted siding nailed directly to the 2x3 studs, with windows installed between the two layers) and they had to hand-cut and the framing around most of our windows and reset them, as well as put up all new plywood sheathing and then the new Hardie siding over that. The crew was great. The project ended up happening about two months after they initially predicted, but they were communicative throughout and got it done fast once they started, despite incredibly high summer temperatures. We're so happy we can rest assured that our house is protected from the weather, and looks amazing.

Had some siding replaced and some windows removed and others replaced. The job was delayed and KVN communicated very well.

Requested a standard siding quote via their website submission page. 2 and a half months later I finally got an email response to set up an in-person estimate. Not a great response time, but understandable that sometimes there are delays in the process.

Someone came out and talked with me about the potential project, took some pictures, and said they would follow-up to discuss the project and options. We scheduled a 2nd meeting for a week later but the salesperson never showed up. I called the company and was told they would look into it. Around 5pm I got a call from the salesperson saying he simply forgot about our meeting and he was sorry. He offered to email me the quote and all of the information, but no emails ever came and I never heard from them again.

KVN did a great job installing our siding and painting it too. Have received multiple compliments from neighbors and even other contractors. I noticed a couple uneven spots in the paint that was only visible in certain light and they promptly swung by to give another coat. Class acts all around.

Edit: bumping to 4 stars because they needed to re-paint streaky looking areas a second time. At a certain point cut your losses and just paint everything again

Let's start with your new siding will look great. The subs are excellent, and their prices are comparable to any company in the area.

However, be prepared as much as they try and minimize it your home will be 100% damaged in the interior. Read the fine/tiny print in your contract as they do NOT pay for any interior damages including electrical, they created.

I'm still finding cracks that have to be repaired along with a new long indentation that has started on one wall. Even if they do agree to come out and look at the damage, they will still DO NOTHING to fix it.

Whole team at KVN has been very responsive. We had them replace two sides of our home with Hardie Board. Our crew leader Alex Tora kept us apprised of progress throughout the job.

I was incredibly satisfied working with KVN. Everyone on the team was very communicative, from the sales representative to each person doing the hands-on work for my home. I had my siding, soffits, gutters, and windows replaced, with everything painted and electrical fixtures replaced. From beginning to end, the folks doing the labor not only communicated openly and regularly, but clearly cared about the quality of their work. It shows. I'm so happy with how my home looks, and I feel confident that my house will need only minimal maintenance in the coming decades.

KVN did an incredible job on our project! They were very patient with us - as we were completing an addition build prior to siding. I was a little confused at first because there seemed to be a new "head" person in charge of each phase, but that turned out to be great because each one was an expert in charge of a crew - painting, siding... They provided 1 hr consultation with a designer to help me figure out the vision I was going for. An update without breaking the bank - little changes we could make to bring our house out of the 90's. I would definitely use KVN on any future house project and recommend them to others! Very high quality work!

KVN Construction replaced my old cedar roof, skylights and installed new gutters. I will not hesitate to use them again, great quality and price.

KVN construction was such a pleasure to work with. Our house had LP siding and we were in need of an upgrade not only visually, but to protect our home. They were very communicative and helpful through the whole process. I really appreciated that they were the only company we talked to that didn't require a 50% deposit. Considering the overall cost of a siding and window project, 50% up front is a huge ask. They've been in the business long enough to be able to pass on a lower deposit to clients which builds trust and is really helpful financially. I'd recommend them time and time again.

Javier, Michael, Rigo and the entire crew were amazing to deal with. Our project was extra tricky and when conditions were uncovered at demo they basically were all hands on deck figuring out solutions for our family. I will always recommend them when anyone asks about and siding or roofing jobs. We would highly recommend KVN construction for any exterior home project. They explained the entires process for our home siding project from start to finish, and were professional and responsive to any questions or requests we had throughout. We loved the results!

Solid work. They replaced my entire roof and a lot of my plywood (which had mold). I will say that they were the second most expensive of the four contractors I got quotes from, but I chose them for their material choices. They were very responsive all throughout the process.

I recently contacted with KVN construction to install new Hardie plank siding on my home mainly because they are a locally owned company and their positive reviews. They started the job this morning and we immediately encountered an issue. When I met with the estimator originally, we discussed the fact that the home had vinyl siding laid over the original siding. Unfortunately when I signed the contract it noted the price covered the removal of one layer and the removal of additional layers would result in increased costs. Had I noticed this I would have never signed the contract. Needless to say, I was very upset that this oversight was going to cost me additional money when I had discussed it up front. I noted my frustrations with the estimator, the production manager, site coordinator and ultimately the owner. Needless to say, they were very understanding and we were able to work out a very satisfactory resolution to the problem.

This folks is why you always use locally owned businesses who respond immediately to issues!

KVN did a remodel for us last year, removing the old siding, gutters and downspouts, insulating the walla and installing new Hardiplank siding, gutters, downspouts, and then painting it. We had a tiny drip right in the middle of the living room window for about a half hour during the big ice storm. We reported that to them on Thursday before the melting started, expecting to hear from them early the next week or so. They called back and showed up on Thursday afternoon! They showed us the wayer-stain pattern and explained that it was a one-time quirk because of the wind and ice, and probably would never happen again. AND told us to keep in touch, just to be certain it doesn't repeat itself. Perfect! They explained it and took responsibility for fixing it if it ever happens again! And they were fast, clean, courteous and clear! Perfect!

Great company with good quality work! Kirill was excellent at explaining what needed done and why. This is especially helpful for people like me who are not very knowledgeable about these things. The work was done fast and efficiently. The crew was great about contacting me if there were any questions or concerns. And they sent me photos throughout the project to show me their progress. Called to have them repair a board on our siding that was damaged by a leaking downspout and they were great! Everything was fixed in a way where it look like nothing happened at all: the house looks back to its original form. Thanks!

We had our siding done by KVN this summer and with this being the largest and most costly project my husband and I have done for our house working with KVN made it all seem like a breeze! They were upfront about costs, extremely informative about the whole process, and communicative throughout the job. I would recommend them to anyone, but especially to any first time homeowners who may be nervous to take on that big first project on their home!

UPDATE: I'm happy to change our rating of KVN to 5 stars!! The final piece of our house re-siding project was completed earlier this month when we had a break in the weather. Alejandro did a great job replacing the fascia board. We are thrilled with the overall craftsmanship and appearance of our home. Thanks again Kirill and KVN!

What started the journey of our whole-house siding replacement was a rotting varge/fascia board above our front entry (along with some rotting siding on one side). In May 2023, we met with several contractors, but we were really impressed with Miya, KVN’s estimator. She did an excellent presentation, demonstrating (with samples and in detail) how the James Hardie siding would be installed. We understood from the outset that the front porch varge/fascia board replacement would be billed on a time + expense basis, and would be handled by a KVN roofing team.

The siding tear-off started in mid-July. Luis and his team (OH Construction) are detail-oriented and hard-working, even sweating it out on some very hot summer days. They finished mid-August. The painter, Dennis S. (Bukovina Custom Homes, Inc.) prepped and painted in mid-September. Javier, KVN’s Field Manager, stopped by a few times throughout the project.

KVN and their sub-contractor teams did an excellent job. We absolutely LOVE the new HardiPlank siding and trim! Our house looks brand new.

The last portion of our project is replacement of the varge/fascia boards. We have been in continued communication with Javier, and look forward to it being completed in early 2024.

KVN Professionals Are the team that I went with with a small remodel, They did a great job from start to finish, Communication was great. The cleanup was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this crew for the next job on my property.

KVN Construction met and exceeded all of my expectations. I hired them for a siding project and they were on time and provided great communication throughout the whole process. They were comparable in price with other bids I got but I felt the service was so much better with KVN Construction and would use them again.

2024 Update: We used KVN to repair some siding on a new to us home. I really appreciate their honestly and transparency when building the bid and doing the work. Unlike others, who thrive on change orders, KVN makes sure that everything that needs to be done is in the quote. The communication through the process was excellent, as was the work.

Update: KVN has updated our siding where we had some water damage and replaced our roof. Everyone working on their team has been wonderful and they have also recommended other companies for us to work with on other projects when we had difficulty finding a company who could do the job. They have a very good network for recommendations. When we had our siding done due to a leak, they recommended we get new windows also. We hired a company to do a water test on the windows and they couldn't find a leak so we didn't change them out. Years later when we did replace the windows, we saw that they were a problem. Javier from KVN came to our house several times to look at the problem and see how the compromised windows had affected the siding (and to make sure that there were no problems that the roofing or siding had caused). He came out immediately on the same or next business day and arranged to be here when other contractors were here and fixed the new damage to the siding. We wanted to pay him but KVN would not take money even though they had advised us to change the windows years ago but we had not. We are amazed at how serious they are about guaranteeing their work years later after it was done and also to see how much integrity KVN has. They really went above and beyond what was expected.
