We had Kodiak roofing of Spokane,Wa tear off old roofing and install New , They tore off the roofing down to the sheeting and installed new where it was needed, Let me add first off that they sub out contractors that the salesman told us that were as good as the companys crew which I believe is only one crew, The subcontractors are not supervised by Kodiak and Are horrible, They first covered over my bathroom vent hose when replacing new sheeting that we paid for, and when i asked they said they forgot and would fix it , The next day after coming home from work the vent and roofing was installed, After they left i went into the attic and found that they used a claw hammer to punch the hole to the vent (see attached photos) This was a brand new piece of sheeting , Never would have known unless i went in the attic, When tearing off old roofing they tore off flashing that went in between deck and replaced it now it leaks , and they don't want to fix it , A boot they installed over electrical also leaks, Contacted The Owner and He has told me several times he would be out never seen Him , You will never see this company again after they are paid . Find a Different roofing company , We have a warranty contract with this company also

We had a great experience with Kodiak Roofing. We had chunks of our roof torn off beginning of 2021 after a huge wind storm. Every company told us there was a 6 month wait. Minimum. Here they started within a week of me contacting them and were done in 2 days. Everything was nice and clean after they were done. We went through our insurance. Kodiak Roofing were pretty good about how long it took for us to receive our money from insurance. Great work!
Been meaning to write a review kept forgetting. Sorry took so long.

I own a business in the Spokane Valley and I called them to fix a leak in our roof that was leaking into our showroom. The gentleman said that he would be out to inspect the area the next day, and send someone out to fix it within a week. The gentleman never showed up and I have left 3 phone messages and pleaded with them to hurry and fix it since the rains have made it leak worse than ever....THEY HAVE NOT EVEN CALLED ME BACK!!

I’d be more than happy to change this review from 2 stars, but it’s been 6 weeks since my roof inspection. I was told I would receive a quote in 2 weeks. I’ve called 5 times asking for the bid sheet. Each time the person says they’ll have it emailed over promptly. Still waiting.

Again, I can’t say much about their service, but I can tell you their communication is far from professional.

Called these guys to get an estimate to do new siding on my house for my spring project. Guy came out on 10/9/20 to this day never got an estimate almost a month later. If I can’t get an estimate in timely manner definitely won’t be using them to do my siding, very disappointed.

Kodiak roofing installed a metal roof over 4 years ago and has been nothing but stress and trouble. It leaked the entire 80' length and caused major water damage. The attempted to fix and it still leaks causing more damage. They are completely unresponsive and keep pushing me off. Another winter is coming and I will need to dig the snow off the roof again. Avoid using this company.

Girl who called (Amy) to set up estimate was not professional. Basically told me what time and day the estimate would be without giving me any input or alternate times. I have renters to coordinate with. When I called back to adjust the estimate by 1 hour she paused and gave me a very unenthusiastic "well I guess.". I canceled the whole thing and told her I would go somewhere else.

At no time during setting any of this up did she have any positive customer service skills. She was very uninterested in my business, nor was she concerned about my time or schedule. Along with this she was not friendly nor was she pleasant in any way. She seemed bothered at best.

No thanks! Will give my money to another business.

I've been meaning to write this review for quite a while. Kodiak Roofing did my roof last August (in the heat) and they did a great job. Every night, they made sure to run a magnet over my yard & driveway to prevent injury and popped tires.
There was quite a bit of work to be done with 3 separate buildings, and some wood work along with re-building one section of the roof over my garage/garden shed. They did a great job and the price was very reasonable. I'd recommend Kodiak Roofing to my friends, and have!

Kodak did an excellent job on my roof. The entire staff was friendly and the job was completed ahead of schedule. I will refer this company to my friends and family.

We had them out and they were professional, courteous and clean. Did the job on time like promised and cleaned up great! Even with the all of the other roofing companies busy with the windstorm damage they got us fit in and did a great job.

Called and scheduled an estimate for a new roof on my shop. Verified that my rural location wouldn't be an issue. Planned my whole week around the appointment only to receive a call less than an hour beforehand. They let me know that there was only one salesman on the floor and he didn't want to travel the distance to give the estimate. He suggested giving me a satellite estimate, but I told him there were specific details of the new roof is wanted to point out. He said he would send me a satellite estimate to see if I wanted to proceed and if so, he could come out in a couple more hours. It's been almost 4 hours since hearing anything, so I think the company doesn't want my business. Sad thing is that they were referred to me. Won't be doing any business with them.

I cannot advise anyone to hire this company. Period.

Between cat calling my wife, throwing shingles on the ground without a glance at where they're headed, nails on the ground and sidewalk, blocking cars with their trucks and equipment.

I live in an apartment complex that is using them and nobody at this complex is happy because of it.

A neighbor had a nail through his foot because lack of cleanup!
It is not that hard to keep tearoff in a designated place instead of all over the community area!

Nor is it hard to go over the area for nails a couple extra times!! It should be a pet peeve for any nails to get left behind especially where children play. Use the magnet a few more times with a leaf rake in between passes to stir them up.

Seriously.. take pride in your work, apes.

Update to reply of owner:
As if the "client" aka brookstone apartments would know anything pertaining to your employees behavior. That is between the tenants and the people working directly above them. (unless reported) if you would like to know the truth beyond the confines of a lying **** hole that brookstone rentals is and has been. Please feel free to leave surveys for each of the apartment complexes so people can let you know how pathetic your disrespectful staff really is.

Thank you

Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
