After repeatedly calling and emailing a competitor (who never got back to me) I gave Koala a call. We needed insulation replaced, added, and upgraded in three different areas. All of the different options were explained to me in detail, with no pressure or up-sell tactics. The work was performed on schedule, and they did a terrific job of it. I felt the final cost was very reasonable and there were no surprise charges or hidden fees. I would definitely work with these guys again.

Be prepared to spend $ & time for repairs after the crew is gone. The crew did a thorough job of removing the old insulation but left a ton of insulation, metal & plastic pieces, pliers, metal washers etc. in the front yard that took me a while to get out of the grass. Then during the blow-in they stepped on 2 HVAC vents, popping them both thru the ceiling below, one causing damage that still needs to be patched/sanded/ painted. But the costly mistake was the hall light that didn't work after they left. My husband tried to fix but we ended up having to call an electrician to come out to repair the wire. We understand accidents happen but when I notified Koala, they didn't offer to deduct the cost of the electrician from our final bill, or deduct anything for the repairs we'll have to do to our ceiling, or for me having to clean up the front yard.

I had a need for insulation and did my research to find a company with excellent reviews and reputation. My search led me to Koala Insulation of Richmond, and oh man, am I happy! Each person I dealt with was knowledgeable, courteous, they and educated me about my options. There was no pressure but only their desire to provide the services I needed. The crew was prompt; they had everything ready to go and completed the job in an excellent fashion. I am very pleased and highly recommend Koala Insulation of Richmond.

Koala Insulation did a fantastic job of insulating and sealing our attic. We are in a house built in 1920, and the upstairs was muggy and hot this summer. After Koala came and worked in our attic, our upstairs has been much more comfortable. They were fast and great!

I was impressed with Daniel, the sales representative from Koala Insulation. He came to my house to assess my insulation needs. Unlike some pushy salespeople, Daniel honestly evaluated my insulation and assured me it was already in excellent condition, with no need for upgrades. He could have easily tried to sell me unnecessary services, but his integrity was refreshing. This experience speaks volumes about Koala Insulation's commitment to customer service. I highly recommend Daniel and Koala Insulation for their honesty and professionalism.

Had a fantastic experience with Koala Insulation! Our main attic space is now fully insulated with spray foam. There was a small area that ended up not be accessible from the main space and getting spray foam up there wasn't really an option but the crew came out ASAP and did blow in by popping a few small holes in the ceiling which will be super easy to repair. Will absolutely be calling them again when we decide to insulate our basement!

Marvin and team were professional and informative. Marvin warned me about weak flooring in my attic. He showed photos to document the exact amount of insulation blown in. My only complaint is the team was several hours late, (due to complications from a previous job) and no one called to inform me of their tardiness.

We really enjoyed the work done by Koala! We found them with an urgent soundproofing need to halt some of the noise between the kitchen and basement. Everyone that came, between the initial inspector, the communication and timely scheduling of services, and the people who came to put the actual insulation in, was all easy and great to work with. They made an uncomfortable situation a lot more bearable and again, it was an easy process on our end. After testing out the soundproofing and listening for a few weeks now, I am happy to report that it has helped improve the sound issue greatly! The noise is way down, way less bothersome. We feel very grateful to have found a company that can do this work, and not break your bank! Very enjoyable process overall, everyone was knowledgeable, friendly, and very nice, and we would absolutely return to Koala again if another need should arise! 5 stars, and lots of gratitude!! They gave a quote to include covering the bottom of the rafters with a layer of Tyvek to enclose the installed batts. The crew arrived on time and knocked the job out in the time that had been estimated, which I thought was extremely optimistic but they did it. Very reasonable price for the work done by a crew of four.

I had a very positive experience with Brant who was very courteous empathetic and knowledgeable. The price was affordable. I could see and smell the results right away. There was a decent change on the thermostat and the house has never smelled fresher. Kudos to Marvin and the excellent crew who performed the job. Connie in the office was very nice and helpful as well. I highly recommend this company.

Project was nearly 5000+ square foot new construction custom home with vaulted ceilings, top hung trusses, and other unique features. Jeff and Brant were excellent. Estimate was complete and timely, price was competitive (had 4 other estimates), and job was well done and completed on-time. Most important thing for me was that on a custom house this complex, there are always little things that get missed or have to be done a certain way, and they were happy to address every item, and I got none of the typical construction excuses you normally get from most contractors, refreshing. Nice work gentlemen!

Highly recommend Koala Insulation of Richmond. We reached out to Koala in November and they quickly got us on the schedule to insulate a space above our garage where we had a pipe burst the previous winter and our 3rd floor space near the HVAC where we repeatedly would get warning alerts that the temperature was below 40 degrees.

We couldn't be happier with the quality of the work! It exceeded our expectations and we were really impressed with the final result. We also appreciated that they were able to re-use some materials that were going to be taken out of the garage space for the 3rd floor space which saved us cost on materials. That speaks volumes to the fact that they are looking out what's best for their customers.

If you are on the fence about investing in insulation for your home, I can tell you that it has brought us so much peace of mind this past winter. We have not once received a warning alert about the temperature on the 3rd floor and have noticed a significant temperature improvement in the rooms that are adjacent to the space above the garage.

What a great experience working with Koala on getting my garage roof spray foamed and how nice the men were that did the work. I would recommend this company and highly qualified personnel that did the job looks fantastic. Great price also. So give them a call if you need a good deal.

Guys were great, got straight to work. Cleaned up after themselves. Only issue was they put plastic on the floor, but didn’t cover anything else in the garage and there is now a thick layer of insulation dust on everything we have stored in the garage. There was no advisory given prior either, otherwise we would have done it ourselves. But other then that, highly recommend Koala.

I would recommend Koala Insulation of Richmond to anyone. They did two locations for us and we are pleased with the results. The employees are punctual and respectful, they made sure they cleaned up after themselves once they are done. Their price is also reasonable!

The attic entrance skirt that was installed was not an exact fit and might need to be replaced. I'll let you know if I have difficulty getting into the attic.. Otherwise it was a great job!!

Truly appreciated the work they did. Foam insulation has made a significant difference with keeping the house to remain at the temperature. No heat loss. Great process from the beginning. My only suggestion in the future would be to put plastic on the floor to catch any foam that may drop. Will highly recommend.

Excellent work, team arrived as scheduled, they explained what was going to happen. The task of performing the spray foam - closed cell installation took about 7 hours to complete this was in a 12' x 34' shed (two levels) plus roof area, when the install was completed work area was cleaned up. Great work by the team! Insulation looks great - next project drywall.
