I had K&M Roofing replace the roof on my house in Oct. 2024. The estimator was very friendly, informative, and no pressure. They were able to do the install within a week or two of when I signed the contract. The job was completed in 1 day. The roof looks good. No leaks so far. The crew cleaned up thoroughly after the installation. I would recommend K&M roofing.

Ben Jackson, project manager was wonderful in helping us replace a very large damaged picture window in our foyer. The crew was here on time and very efficient removing the damaged window and replacing it with the new one and cleaning up everything. It was as if no construction had occurred. The window is gorgeous and seemlessly matches our 20+ year old windows. Absolutely wonderful group. We highly recommend them.

I had a disappointing experience with this company during a recent estimate appointment. The sales associate arrived 30 minutes early, unexpectedly, while another company's representative was still on-site, which led to an awkward situation. The associate expressed surprise and dissatisfaction upon realizing I was receiving multiple estimates, which I found unprofessional. Despite the mix-up, I tried to accommodate by suggesting the associate proceed with the estimate at the scheduled time. However, he stated he was too busy and promised to return the next day, a promise that was not kept.

This incident was unsettling for me, especially taking a day off work to manage these appointments. The lack of communication about the early arrival, the inappropriate response to a standard practice of obtaining several quotes, and the failure to follow up as promised were significant issues. While I typically wouldn't leave a negative review based on an estimate process alone, the accumulation of issues compels me to share my experience in hopes the company sees this feedback as a constructive opportunity to improve their customer service and staff training.

I had substantial storm damage to my roof, siding and gutters. I contacted Project Manager, Dennis Floyd and he came by the very next morning and explained everything very clearly for me, fixed the tarp on my roof, and scheduled the job for the following week. He was very attentive to all the details, and answered my many questions and phone calls with patience. The quality of the work on my roof replacement, siding replacement, gutter replacement and bathroom repair was outstanding and Dennis very professionally managed all of the work and made sure everything was done properly. I highly recommend both Dennis Floyd and K and M Roofing and Contracting. I was very pleased with their work and the way that Dennis handled getting it all done. My husband and I used K&M Roofing and Contacting at the beginning of the year. We purchased a townhouse at the end of December 2022 and found out we had major roof damage. Dennis did our estimate on 1/24 and we had a new roof on 2/3. Everyone at K&M was wonderful to work with. Dennis and his crew started our roof around 7:30 am and were finished by 12:30 pm. They did a wonderful job and the roof looks great. We highly recommend K&M and will be contacting them in the future for any contracting needs!

Dennis was great. He was very polite, he explained everything in detail and told me exactly what he was going to do and what it would cost. They did show up on time which was an extra perk. They did an excellent job and I absolutely love the roof. Couldn’t recommend enough.

I used K&M to redo the entire outside of my house. Gutters, siding, wrapping the trim. The house went from drab and boring to modern and new. Great work all around the house. The team that did the work was here for 3-4 days, they left the place clean everyday and immaculate when they left the job. I need to replace the roof in a few years and K&M will be on the short list of contractors that I call

My roof got damaged during a windstorm back in 2018 in my area. My insurance company didn't want to replace the roof and said it was fine with only some missing shingles. I spoke with the guys at K & M and they were able to show and convince my insurance, without a doubt, that a new roof was needed and was badly damaged (including the one on my shed) and that the whole roof needed replacing. They did a great job, were fast and professional and didn't leave any stray shingles and construction trash in the yard. Thank you guys!

I had a bathroom remodeled by K&M. They did an amazing job! It turned out so beautiful like a spa bathroom. It is highly functional and handicap accessible. The personnel from the estimates to executing the actual work were professional and completed everything on time. I would highly recommend this company for any home repairs or remodeling you need to do. This company also replaced to roof on my home a few years ago and did a wonderful job! We have a small farm house that is a few decades old. The roofing included old tin and other odds and ends. We were experiencing leaking and issues with water run offs. We first contacted them and had a quote within 24 hours. We arranged for them to come out and fix it. They were done in less than 2 days! Granted my roof is about 800-900sqft, but still!

If I were you, I would choose them again. Compared to the quotes we were receiving some were in the 8000$ range. We chose K&M! You should too!

K&M Roofing gets the job done when others fail! We needed a roof replacement and had tried with another contractor to get it processed via the insurance. They originally denied the claim but through the efforts of Dennis and his crew at K&M we were able to file for a re-inspection and they eventually approved a full replacement. The work was done quickly and professionally. Highly recommend them.

The company came recommended and did a fine job with the roof and skylight replacement. During installation, there were minor damages to parts of my siding and my driveway, as is expected. After much back and forth over about 18 months, (the length of time was not an issue for us), K&M sent a crew to repair the damages around our bay windows. The repair job was extremely poorly done and actually created more damage to our siding. With a complete thread of written communications for over 18 months around the damage and K&M's recognition that they caused it, when I went back and asked for them to remedy the faulty repair, they claimed they were not responsible for any of the damages. I finally paid my handyman out of pocket for the final repairs and K&M refused to respond or deal with me further. I was very disappointed in their follow-through and professionalism.

I want to thank Dennis and his crew for such a phenomenal job they did replacing our roof, gutters and attic fan. K&M was recommended by George of Restoration 1 of Centreville who was inspecting our attic for mold. We are so glad we decided to use K&M Roofing. Dennis is very professional and knowledgeable. He takes the time to explain everything he finds which needs replacing and provides photos to make the explanation more meaningful. Dennis let us know what he thought we would need that was extra i.e. plyboard under the shingles due to rotting, mold, etc. He was so accurate with what he told us. He was on site with the crew to make sure the job was done to his satisfaction of good workmanship. The crew did an excellent clean up where you would not even know they just replaced an entire roof. I would highly recommend Dennis to anyone in need of a roof, etc. This is a top notch company with high levels of workmanship and integrity! Thank you Dennis for all you have don for us!!!!

Kenny and his team replaced my roof for me. They were extremely knowledgeable about the installation process and about the products. I had a low sloping roof and had always had issues with it until K&M installed my new roof and installed the correct roofing and flashing to keep it watertight.
I was completely at ease with them working on my house. Everyone was very polite , willing to answer my questions and even show me how the different layers were installed in order to keep everything sealed up. When they were done my yard was cleaned up and there was not a spec of any roofing material to be found.

K&M Roofing installed our new roof yesterday. The installation crew was wonderful - professional, knowledgeable, and hard working. The temperature here in the Washington area was in the high 90's with lots of humidity and sun. The men worked tirelessly from 6 am to 7:30 pm. When they discovered our non-standard sized skylight was damaged, they worked quickly to come up with an affordable solution that could be installed the same day. Additionally, they removed all of their trash and left the area the way they found it. Kenny, the owner/salesman, was also extremely easy to work with, responsive, knowledgeabl, and professional. We had to wait only a minimal amount of time after signing the contract for the work to be scheduled and completed. All in all, we would recommend K&M Roofing to anyone.

I came to K&M via a recommendation on NextDoor. They are extremely communicative and punctual. Of course I can't get up on the roof to inspect the work but assume they've done the job and done it right just based on the professionalism of our telephone and text interactions. I plan to do more business with K&M, and find the 1-star reviews "amusing" in that they don't reflect my experience in any way. I also admire the detailed and professional responses to those 1-star malcontents. Keep up the good work K&M!

K&M was fantastic! They replaced our roof in May 2020 and we ordered shutters at that time. Unfortunatly, due to COVID, the shutters were delayed as the manufacturer was shut down for awhile. Dennis kept in touch with me the entire five month wait to make sure I knew I was never forgotten about. They came back in October and replaced the fascia boards, gutters, and gutter guards. Our HOA has very specific colors and they were able to get the exact colors we needed. They came back to touch up the gutters once installed and everything looks fantastic! We would not hesitate to use them again in the future for any repairs! I highly recommend them.

Mike came and went overall the details, replaced my roof for exactly what the insurance paid out, with all the upgrades. Workers were very curteous and professional, a great value and easy to work with. Highly recommend this company plus they are local not some national chain with higher prices.

K&M replaced our existing wooden deck with the new composite (TREX) decking. The completed deck looks incredible and is exactly what we envisioned. Their team was responsive to my requests, cleaned up every day before departing the work site (delayed a day or two by rain) and their work/build team had me checking along with them as they progressed to ensure I was satisfied. The end result is a beautiful new addition to our home!

I would not recommend K&M to anyone seeking a roof inspection due to a concern for missing shingles, and potentially other reasons given my experience.

After scheduling what was very clearly described to me as a free roof quote and inspection, the employee who visited my property stated from his truck that I had no roof damage and that he didn't work for free. I explained that I had found a missing shingle and was suspicious of a certain area of my roof that was hard to see from the ground. I explained that I had spoken with two other employees to schedule that inspection and they had explained to me numerous times that they would provide a free inspection and quote based on the damage as part of their standard sevices. He repeated that he didn't work for free, inspections are $300, and drove off.

I will not consider K&M services in the future. If you are concerned about having a similar experience, I would recommend you do the same.

Professional, great service,this company has integrity and honesty. I had a glass sliding door and front door installed. It was done quickly and hassle free. I totally recommend this company.

They did a terrible job picking up nails after replacing the roof. Ive had 3 flat tires since the job was completed. DO A BETTER JOB PICKING UP WHEN YOU’RE DONE. Communication was also terrible before the job was to begin. Job was to be completed on one day, didn’t show up, and showed up another day with no notice.

I paid $13,500 for a new roof and a 30 year warranty sold to me as "all-inclusive". After a few revisions and delays, the work was done but it took nearly a year to track down the paperwork. A windstorm took a piece of the flashing off this past spring. I called to have it serviced but was told that flashing is not covered by my warranty so my bill would be $500 for them to come out and replace it. I decided to move on and not pay them for any more work. The problem is that even though I'm trying to forget about the experience, I'm constantly reminded every time I go in the attic, since there was debris left everywhere. And I'm reminded on days like today while I'm mowing and continue to find roofing tacks in my yard.

We hired K&M to install a new roof.Upon the 1st rain it leaked.Their fix was to install a piece to patch the roof.This is unexceptionable fix on a new roof.The roof has bubbled in many places and the wood has bowed up because not properly attached.They have been out 5 times to fix the poorly installed roof with no end in sight.To top it all they ripped brand new wood up and had the nerve to charge us for it.
Now it has been weeks since we heard from them. I do not recommend them for a new installation but maybe a quick repair.

We had a very positive experience with K&M for our roof replacement. Brett was very professional and maintained communication throughout the process. The pricing was reasonable and they got the job done in a timely manner and it looks great! Will definitely go through them for other jobs around the house in the future.

UPDATE at the bottom of here: I called Home Advisor for a roofing company and they gave me K&M roofing info in April of this year because I had a water leak from the roof due to the wind storm that we had earlier this year. It took awhile but someone came out and looked at the roof. Brett stated that he could repair the roof where the shingles had come off. I told him to go ahead and fix it. He did and he was paid. Unbeknownst to me, I found out in May from my neighbor that my rooftop repair had brown tiles instead of the gray ones that are on the roof already. I told him to take a pic and I sent it to K&M and asked them to please come back out and replace the shingles to match what was up there. At no time, did Brett say that they wouldn't match what was already there, this took place the end of May. On June 14, 2018, I emailed them again since I didn't get a response from the end of May email . It's Jul 13, 2018 and although I have communicated with Janie and she stated that messages have been relayed to the right people. So far, no one has come out to fix this issue or communicate a resolution. I reached out to Home Advisor as well and spoke with Customer Solutions about this issue and they said that they will look into it. Why would I pay for some mix matched shingles? I am hoping that this is resolved soon. I don't have money to throw away like that. Beware of this company or have them take pics once the job is complete for rooftops

UPDATE:
The roofer came out to fix those areas although he had to make 2 trips to complete it. Just be mindful of what you're getting done and let them know that you expect the color to match what's already on the rooftop, I guess.

I give them 1 star only because they came out to give me a quote right away. It is a very simple quick job. Problem is they never came to do the job. I was scheduled for a day and the person never showed up as I waited home all day for them to come. They scheduled another day and didn’t show up again. Finally they said they would be there, and surprise. Didn’t show up. I declined another bid to support the local business, however it is apparent my word to pay them for a job doesn’t meet their standard of their word to do the job.

I contacted K&M Roofing after a strong wind storm caused damage to my roof. They came out and provided a free competitive estimate, despite the overwhelming need for roof repairs in the area. There were some scheduling issues due to the high demand for roof repairs, but in the end they made the situation right and did an excellent job. They are the second roofing company I’ve used on my home and they have been a much better experience. I will definitely use them again in the future and would recommend them to anyone.

K and M Roofing responded to my request for assistance after the Wind Bomb in early March 2018 blue the shingles off the top half of the northern side of our roof. They arrived when they said they would, worked very effectively - communicating through an efficient, polite, helpful front office. The tarped off the roof quickly, before a second run of the storm was to blow into town. And worked closely with us, and our insurance company, to make this a flawless process. Polite, well trained, efficient teams of workers. I'm glad I lucked onto them.
