Keystone Building and Restoration did an excellent job in repairing my home in Boyds, Maryland after hail-storm damage. All the repairs and dealings with the insurance company were coordinated by Roberto Jimenez, who was outstanding. He guided us seamlessly from the initial consultation and insurance claim to the final project completion. Keystone replaced my roof, gutters, downspouts, small amount of siding and several window screens. Roberto was professional, courteous, very easy to work with, constantly kept us updated, and quickly responded to all our concerns and questions. Roberto is very detail-oriented, patient, honest and transparent. He was very patient to make sure that we were able to review (sometimes several times) and approve the various material and paint colors involved. In the beginning, he walked us through all of the details about the roofing and gutter replacement process and left us several shingle samples and shingle booklets so we could choose a color. He also worked closely with our insurance company and guided us through the process of getting insurance approval. When our gazebo needed some caulking and small amount of repainting, Roberto did most of the work himself and did an excellent job.

The work crew was very professional, efficient, and friendly. The roof, window screens, and small amount of siding were completed in one day, while the gutters and downspouts were completed the next day. The roof and gutters look great. The clean-up at the end of the day was amazing. There was no debris, nails, or trash left behind.

Keystone Building & Restoration is a very rare company. The day of the install 8 men were on the job plus a project manager. The job started by 7 am and they were finished (cleaned up, packed up ) and gone before 1 pm.

When the HOA requested a sample of the new singles being installed, Wil provided two samples and pictures of new roofs that had been installed in my community.

Roof tear downs are messy, however the team went above and beyond with cleaning and my yard was left spotless!

We recently got our roof replaced and I had the pleasure of working with Steven Valencia at Keystone. Steven was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and punctual during the entire process. We got the roof replaced through insurance and sometime working with insurance can be daunting, but Steven took that entire burden off my shoulders and handled everything from cradle to grave. I would highly recommend Keystone and if at all possible will look forward to working with them to get our siding replaced as well.

Steven helped me to coordinate with my insurance to inspect the storm damage to my roof and my insurance company eventually pay for the replacement. He and his team completed the new roof in less than 8 hours. He is awesome from the beginning to the end.

I'm one of those people who NEVER buys anything from somebody randomly ringing my doorbell. I am glad I made an exception for Gio and Keystone though, because the whole experience was fantastic (including what was basically a free roof replacement!). About a year ago, Gio rang my doorbell and politely let me know he would inspect my roof for free to see if I could file an insurance claim. I was skeptical (as always), but thought "ahh what the heck, go check it out." There was not much damage at the time, but he said he'd follow up in several months. Not once did I feel pressured by him, just helpful and professional vibes. After about a year, he inspected again after a big storm and told me there was likely enough damage to file a claim. Wow, OK.. let's do it. Gio pretty much handled the whole process, including a 3-way call with my insurance. To my surprise, my insurance said they would replace my entire roof! Of course Keystone was gonna do the work, and they did a fantastic job. A hard-working crew that got everything installed in a single day and cleaned up every last nail. These guys are top-notch and the whole experience was professional. Gio kept me informed every step of the way and I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. If a man named Gio randomly knock at your door one day.. let him inspect your roof! You won't regret it :)

The project manager, Steven Valencia, demonstrated a high level of professionalism and commitment, from the initial consultation to the completion of the project. I was not sure about if I would qualify with my insurance, but it was approved because of the detailed evaluation he did. He was honest and had extensive knowledge. He explained the process in details and guided me in making the best decisions for my roofing needs. The crew worked fast and finished the work in one day as promised. They maintained a clean and organized work area and thoroughly removed the debris from the yard. They used highest quality roof materials and provided 10-year labor and installation warranty. It was an absolute pleasure to work with Robert Jimenez and Keystone Building & Restoration. Throughout the entire process, I was made to feel comfortable in my selection of Keystone. While I considered other roofing companies, the professionalism, their attention to detail, and quality of workmanship was upon reproach. Roberto personally exercised extreme patience as I went back and forth on what roof color to select, what grade of material to use, etc. Keystone & Roberto Jimenez not only talked-the-talk, but they walked-the-walk...and their pricing was fair and reasonable. Upon finishing the roofing in just one day, they did an outstanding job cleaning up afterwards. I am 1000% satisfied with my selection of Keystone, and so happy that I met Roberto. I feel safe and secure under my new roof for at least the next 15 years.

My uncle recommended Elmer whom I did not know is a Keystone manager at the time.
My roof leaked during the year end holidays and it was cold, very cold. Elmer came and patched a hole on my home's roof right after the holidays, still freezing cold. We called the insurance company to file the claim. It was not easy, and Elmer had to climb the roof at least twice, but eventually the insurance company approved the roof replacement. Elmer always came half an hour prior to the appointment times.
Elmer's roofing team did exactly what he explained to me and the whole roof of my single family home with detached garage was replaced in less than a day (and the materials came the previous day). No one in the team bothered me or even entered the house. From my perspective, which is from the ground, the roof looks solid and new and so far I found no issue visually or functionally whatsoever. Of course time will tell but I feel things are good and the fact that Elmers responded to me right away via either phone calls or texts told me he will be there if I need him again. So let's say phase one exceeded my expectations.
Elmer also directed another team to install new gutters with leaf guards, again, properly with a very decent price. I did have another quote from another contractor which was a bit higher for a smaller job. The gutter job is a bit tricky since my home is not perfect. The gutter team did find a solution and I find the result exceeded my expectations.
Elmer was professional, courteous, always on time, always responsive, always polite, always humble. This is very rare these days and I just like him a lot. Elmer has a way to interact and explain things to me that made me feel smart myself, respected, and very comfortable. I did tell him he should establish a home improvement company to provide certain services that I need and I need top notch managers like him to do the jobs. I said this because I do have experience dealing with some home improvement (and restoration) companies and none has matched, not even close to, Elmer's service and professionalism.
I wanted another team to take care of my mother's home's roof for various reasons. To my surprise, this team was late for the insurance adjuster 's appointment (which is a red flag), silent on my communications (which is another, bolder red flag), and pointed fingers everywhere but not at themselves (which is unprofessional). It is quite a different experience comparing with Keystone and Elmer. After several interactions that made me feel more and more uncomfortable, I canceled the agreement with that team and requested Keystone's service. It is in progress but I am confident Elmer will do his best to make it successful. If it is not, I am still confident Elmer did his best.
Elmer is more than just a reliable contractor. He's a top pro in every aspect.

I found Keystone online based on the good reviews. Elmer is the project coordinator who came to our house for giving me an estimate. He helped me to work through my insurance claim and everything. Installation only took 8 hours to complete. Five stars.

My parents' house had a leak in their roof that caused damage inside the house. Steven Valencia came out and gave them an estimate, worked with the insurance company every step of the way, kept me updated on their progress with the insurance company, with the supplier, etc. Everything was done on schedule and on time. They also repaired the damage done inside the house. Great company to work with. I definite recommend Keystone!

Keystone made the roof replacement an almost painless process, if it weren't for the unfortunately part that the house had solar panels on top of parts of the roof, which meant we had to coordinate with Tesla to get the solar panels off, and get them reinstalled. This has proven to be the biggest, and only, pain in this entire process. Tesla has been a HORRIBLE COMPANY to deal with. They do not respond to emails and calls go to automated system that tell you to fill out forms online. We are still waiting on Tesla to reinstall after 2 months of having completed the roof reinstall.

My parents and I cannot say enough good things about Keystone, only wish Tesla could provide anywhere near the level of service and professionalism that Keystone did.

My experience with Keystone Building and Restoration was nothing short of amazing. After getting 6 estimates from different contractors I was a little skeptical since this was my first time getting a roof done and the other contractors were trying to rush me into a decision without clearly explaining the process. Steven took the time to explain the everything and was always readily available to answer questions. He worked with my insurance and was able to get it approved (based on wind and storm damage to my roof).
Steven and crew showed up on time and did and excellent job on replacing my roof. Additionally, they also helped my elderly neighbor to clean and fix her gutters (although they had no obligation to do so). She was extremely grateful for what they did as well.

Giovanni was outstanding to work with, as well as Steve the project manager. Gio walked through every step of the process in dealing with our insurance to help with coverage for significant wind damage to our roof in multiple areas. He was very responsive and patient through the whole process. The actual roofing install was amazing to watch. They sent out a very big crew, every guy knew their job and it was clear they are experts that do this day in and day out.

Though roofing is expensive - just like everything else these days - Keystone was very reasonable in their pricing. I know that for sure after talking to a neighbor that had his roof done several years ago by a local contractor that was $3000 more than we just paid, and his was a smaller roof with less angles and dormers.

Keystone did an amazing job with our roof. I would like to especially thank Miguel for giving us this opportunity to have our roof replaced. Our roof had storm damage and Miguel helped us get approval for a claim from our insurance. Our roof had cheap three-tab shingles and no ridge vent but now they installed long-lasting architectural shingles and a new ridge vent. Now, we don't have to worry for at least 20 years.

Update 2 years later:

Our home insurance bill increased as a result of making this claim. However, the increase has been manageable. Also, the service we received from Keystone was excellent and we do not regret the decision.
