I purchased a new trailer from Ketelsen in the spring of 2024. They were great to work with on the purchase, but the real measure of a dealership is their service. Like many new rv's mine needed several things done under warranty after my first camping season. Ketelsen handled the warranty work in a very timely manner and they got everything fixed to a high level of quality.

We were on our way home from a camping trip when we had an emergency problem with a wheel on our camper. We were forced to pull over and go to the closest repair shop we could find which was Ketelsen. They had our camper wheel back up and running and checked all the other wheels too in under 2 hours. They treated us like gold and we’re honest. We can’t recommend these guys enough, 10/10!

Such a good experience with Josiah, Kyle, Jamie, and the rest of the staff at Kettlesen’s in Elkrun! Straightforward and easy to work with. This will forever be our go to place for our camping needs. Thank you for doing us right.

Isaiah and Todd helped us get the parts we needed to get our a/c back up and running in July. They gave us advice on how to fix it and what parts we needed to get it repaired. They went above and beyond with their customer service. I would highly recommend them!

We're traveling across the states and our A/C went out. The team at Ketelsens was quick and responsive to get us back on the road. A job well done by Todd , Isaiah, and Jamie. The best R/V employees on the planet!!

I’m updating this review to share what happened when I had my first “oh crap” moment in the RV. It was July 3rd and all of a sudden, all the power went out. I checked the GCFI plug and breaker…they were fine. I’m not handy with things like this and I needed help. Called Kettelsen and asked to speak with Josiah…he was in meetings all day but they would ask him to give me a call back and in the mean time, they would have the service manager call me back to figure this out. Long story but I didn’t get a call back from either! I was so surprised and disappointed! I have 3 dogs and the RV was beginning to heat up. Plus, I needed to go to work. I looked through my paperwork and found the number to call for a technician that could walk me through a diagnosis. This is a warranty service I paid for at the time of purchase. Well…they were busy too so I had to sit and wait. In the meantime, I looked at the surge protector…all the connections looked good. I called the campgrounds office and asked them if they had a 30 amp surge protector that I could purchase…just in case that was the problem. The lady who owns the park asked what was wrong and she suggested I flip the 30 amp breaker. I did that and guess what??? I had power again! I was truly grateful and very relieved!!

I’m disappointed that no one called me back. The people at Ketelsen knew I was new to RV life. At the time, I was panicked and concerned for my dogs. It would have only taken 5 minutes of their time to call back and see how I was doing and if the problem had been fixed. So regarding service after the sale??? It doesn’t exist. So sad

Everyone helped us find the perfect camper for us in our price range. Didn't make us feel pressured into anything. I would recommend them to everyone.

I will never step foot in this store again. 30 ft extension cord $300, menards $150. Sewar hose rhino brand $81, menards $36. Slinky thing to hold up sewar tube on sale for $49, menards $26. I would of spent $200 more on 3 items if I didn't know any better. Shame on them if this is what the think of their customers.

Ketelsen RV was amazing to work with from the very beginning stages to the time we took possession of our TT. I highly recommend Ketelsen RV for your 1st time purchase or 10th time. When we picked up our TT they done a very thorough walk through with us and addressed any issues we had. They took their time with us and did NOT rush us. We arrived at 9am and just left at about 4:30pm. Shout-out to Josiah, Jamie, and Todd for their patience with us today and hard work! And of course Alliance RV for their quality built product made just for us. Let's not forget Andrew either! He was a great help during this whole process of ordering, buying and waiting process.

Price was a bit higher than expected but they did a good job wiring my tail lights and they put in more effort than expected they took out the old wiring and replaced it instead of just trying to attach to the old junk
Like I said they did a great job but what I heard them say $240 I almost expected them to have done a little more like a new plastic wire cover or something
Oh well anyway they did what I couldn't and I'm happy to have it done

We brought our hideout camper there for a estimate, they toke for ever. Had them fix a trim piece and look at frig. Frig isn't working on gas. I never got call that they couldn't get piece for frig. When they called they said just calling with reminder camper done, never got frist call. Plus they charge 150 a hour for labor what the hell. I would give 0 for customer service 0 for price.

Excellent service - My Winnebago View had a broken door handle due to an attempted burglary. I stopped by Ketelsen RV to make sense of the repair. The team there did not have the part, but we’re happy to provide me the part number and located a dealer nearby that had the part in stock.

They solved my problem quickly and put me back on the road right away!

Newly retired, it was a pleasant surprise to find Paine’s RV while searching for our first RV. Coming from Des Moines, we were actually on our way to another RV place when we decided to stop and visit Paine’s first. What a pleasant surprise! 4 hours later we purchased our first RV. From the beginning to the end of the process we received very friendly, personable and top notch service! In the future we will absolutely come back and purchase another one from Paine’s RV.

I love this place, and all the fantastic employee's here. They have worked on my RV (some body work) and did a great job! Always good about communicating and letting me know what's going on. I travel with my job, so a lot of the time I am dealing with them from out of state, over the phone, and Becky at the front desk has been extremely helpful to me with communication and finding information for me. Todd and Travis have been wonderful in the service dept.--taking my RV to the storage place this winter, and retrieving it this spring when I couldn't be there to do it. I just can't say enough good things about the customer service at Paine's--they go above and beyond, and I appreciate all of them!

I was on a road trip and got so lost and turned around it was pitiful. I stopped to ask directions and spoke to an older gentleman at Paines's RV. If he is an indication of the quality of RV's, or sales personel, you will be in safe hands. He was so kind, precise and knowledgeable, got me back on the road and my journey in no time. That's when my GPS started working again.

Brad was great. We met him at the RV show in February and he remembered us. He worked a great deal for is. Travis did a great walk through on the camper.. if you looking for honest people that will work with you you have to go Pain's RV!!!! Thank you guys!

Recently purchased a travel trailer here and they couldn’t have made the process go any smoother!! Brad even brought a chair out next to my car to fill out paper work to practice social distancing. Awesome awesome people!!

Todd and the others at Paines RV literally saved the last half of our vacation! In less than 4 hours they replaced 2 broken leaf springs, broken brake wires, and a ruined tire. They were kind and considerate and what they charged for the work completely reasonable.

My wife and I just recently purchased a new Hideout 5th Wheel from Paine's RV. Jeff Paine was a great help with the all the paper work and getting the finances for us. We highly recommend Paine's RV for anything that you need, like if you are looking for a new camper or getting any repairs or work that need to be done to your camper. Not only are the a family business, they treat you family.

Just bought my second camper from here. These guys are always willing to work with you and certainly know their stuff! It was great doing business with them!

We have been looking and researching campers for about a year. We've tried the big camper chains and its like buying a car from a dealership. RV1 in Altoona wanted to charge us $390 to do a walkthrough!!! Paines doesnt charge for that, that's just part of their service . Paines actually listened to what WE wanted and and made sure we were happy. Their service people are nice and knowledgeable and their sales team cares about you. Just getting a follow up phone call from them to see how we were doing made my day. They are family owned and have a great selection, and they beat the price of one of the larger camper dealerships in Iowa!!!! Next time I upgrade my camper, they will be the first place i go this time. THANKS!!!!

Needed a part for my furnace. Camping world told me the part was obsolete and that I needed a new furnace, Paine's RV said they could have the part the next day.
