We recently had Ken Spears Construction for 2 indoor projects. We had a very tight timeframe right before Christmas. The coordination of multiple contractors was amazing. Both Greg and Aaron the project manager kept us informed on a daily basis. We knew who to expect and when so our lives saw very little disruption. Both gentlemen were very easy to work with. Our projects turned out beautiful and we would certainly hire them again!

Ken Spears Construction is top notch! I have now used them for new siding, new windows and doors, and most recently an addition, kitchen remodel, bath remodel, and new flooring. Greg, Marianne, and Aaron are so great to work with and I couldn’t be happier about the results of these projects.
Marianne helped guide me through the design process and was extremely knowledgeable and responsive.
Aaron kept things moving and on track during the remodeling process and multiple times anticipated things that might not be what I wanted and helped redirect the outcome.

A friend referred me to the company and I’m glad he did. From the very beginning everyone I dealt with at Ken Spears Construction was professional and courteous. Greg Spears came to my home and evaluated the work I needed done. The estimate he provided was very reasonable and he explained things in a manner that showed he was very knowledgeable. The production manager (Aaron) was the lead and point of contact on my project and he kept me informed every step of the way. He provided excellent customer service and answered all of my questions thoroughly! Also, his team did a great job on my home. I highly recommend this company for any home construction needs you may have!

Great service! I cannot say enough good things about Ken Spears Construction. This is our second major remodel with them and with all large projects there are always bumps but they address things with care concern and do the right thing, taking care our their customer! Love love their service and attention to details and followup. Aaron is the best project manager and Greg is the best sales person. I had a few small jobs at home, including vinyl siding repair, garage floor baseboard trim installation and some porch door adjustment. Spears came a couple of weeks ago to size up the job and put me on their schedule. Today Ken K. arrived and did a wonderful job in a few hours time. Excellent service and work.

The work done on my garage was perfect! My sinking door frame was lifted and stabilized and my opener now runs smoothly. Everyone was very helpful and patient with my many questions. I am very pleased and will be going with this company again when we decide to tackle our bathroom remodel in the future. I highly recommend Ken Spears Construction!

After dealing with an awful contractor last year for work I needed on my home from an accident, I'm more than happy to say that Ken Spears Construction was a much needed relief. Very professional, timely, and plan on using them again for anything else down the line.

Extra shout out to Aaron who was also open to getting me a contact for tub refinishing when I asked about it even though it was out of their scope of work.

We had Ken Spears Construction cut two 4'x4' cut outs in a wall. This wall separated our dining area from our living area. They started when they said they would. They were very professional, very courteous and cleaned up when they were done. I would have no problem referring them to my family and friends. Would not hesitate to hire them again in the future.

Ken Spears Construction did a kitchen and bathroom remodel for us. KSC was great to work with. They were very helpful with planning and design. The tradesmen were professional and polite. Mike was our project manager and he kept the project on time while expertly addressing any issues. We felt very fortunate to have Mike managing the job. We are delighted with our new kitchen and bathroom.

Everyone we worked with at Ken Spears Construction was friendly and professional. They were very responsive to all of our requirements, design suggestions and questions.
Once construction began, we were kept informed of the schedule. All the subcontractors showed up as expected, and did excellent work. The minor issues that came up were handled quickly.
We are extremely pleased with our finished addition. Even the city building inspector commented on the high quality of the constuction.

Kitchen remodel went great. The project was completed on time and exceeded expectations. We are still ecstatic about the results. Production Coordinator Greg, Designer Marianne, and Project Manager Ken were all superb in every aspect of the project.

We had Ken Spears remodel a bathroom and do some repair work on our garage. We are very happy with all of their work. Their craftsmen are highly skilled, professional, and pleasant. The job manager came to check things frequently and communicated with us regularly and clearly. What impressed me most was that after the contract was signed they did not skimp - when unexpected issues came up, they made sure they were addressed correctly and to our satisfaction instead of trying to find the cheapest way. They never tried to hide behind the small print. Everyone took pride in their work. Would absolutely use them again.

Flashing job on our back garage roof was over $1,600.00 and poorly done. We recently had our roof done, and the metal flashing had to be taken off. This was flashing that was to divert the water down the roof into the gutter so it wouldn't hit the back porch storm door. It was done over a hole in the roof side panels without putting wood behind it. That is wrong. After the sheet metal flashing was removed, it exposed a hole in the roof panel. Inferior work done at a price that should have been a forth the price at the most.

We used them for a big jobs (bathroom remodel) and small jobs (closing gaps in siding and dormer) and they are efficient, conscientious, professional, thorough, and reasonably priced. Must be why they’ve been in business so long. Highest recommendation.

My parents' large second-story deck collapsed, causing a lot of damage to the house on the way down. Ken Spears Construction was very responsive, on the ball, and they did an excellent job with the repairs, a very high-quality job!

Ken Spears Construction replaced our casement windows and we couldn't be happier with the work. The skilled carpenters arrived on time and were very professional and polite. We have used Ken Spears Construction since we became homeowners in 1992. Over the years, they have provided us great service and value with window replacements, siding, roofing, seamless gutters, and trim work. We were wanting to restore the vintage look of our 1912 house where some rooms had been modernized with interior baseboard and window trim that doesn't fit the historic charm of the rest of the house. Ken Spears Construction reproduced the trim making it look identical to the original woodwork.
Most recently, Mike installed new basement windows for us. He also wrapped the exterior wood surrounding the windows with aluminum. He was friendly, efficient, and cleaned up the jobsite when he was done.

We’re writing to express our heartfelt thanks to KSC for helping us with our Pella patio door and front door lock mechanism replacements. They came to our rescue in working through a muddle with Pella, including working very smoothly and effectively with Pella and doing so with an outcome that was so very positive for us.

Initially, it seemed that it would be easier to rob a Brinks truck than get through to and discuss our issues with Pella in a cost-effective way, but KSC was able to cut through all the red tape and obtain a quick and cooperative response on our behalf and then KSC coordinated and managed the work that needed to be done, all with no charge to us. Wow!!

KSC's willingness to go way out of their way to stand behind their work, speak with other parts providers on behalf of their customers, even after the warranty period had passed, is truly a real testimony to their dedication and backing of their clients and their work.

When we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, KSC and the fact that we’ve had such a long, fruitful, and positive relationship together, will be one of the things that we’ll be very, very grateful for.

They were supposed to revamp our whole first floor came out gave us a quote of 85,000 we liked Greg so much we didn't even get a second bid, payed 750 to go forward and have them make a drawing, agreed upon a drawing, all the way being assured we were still in the 85,000 dollar range, went and picked out all cabinets and hardware, were about a month out from when they were supposed to start and when they sent the final contract over it was 115,000 thats 30,000 over the budget when I asked how this could be i was told we were 11,000 over on the cabinets, when I asked about the remaining 20,000 he was not able to give me a straight forward answer, when I asked for a break down of how he arrived upon the 115,000 he didn't have one and told me that wanting to know that was like going to a restaurant and asking how much the lettuce, tomatoes, and mayo are on the sandwich your buying, worst part was when we said that wasn't going to work for us it seemed as if losing our business didn't really matter to him. Had he bid us over 100,000 originally we would have never gave the 750 for the drawing that is non refundable even when they come in 30,000 over there bid, beware.

KSC redid the entire exterior of our house, including windows and roof, and added a shed dormer to our attic. The quality of the work was great, they were professional, and very reassuring to novices like us. I highly recommend them and their work.

We are thrilled we call Ken Spears Construction! Greg Spears came out for the free quote and Michael performed the work. We needed a new steel entry porch door. Our old door needed to be custom order due to the rough opening being smaller than a standard size. Our old "custom" order door was a mess. This time I asked Spears Construction to make the rough opening larger to accommodate a new "standard" size door, order the new door, and replace/fix trim and existing siding. As an added bonus we also asked them to put in a new "doggy door we bought. Everything was completed in one day. I wasn't home when the work was done but when I came home everything was spotless and perfect! The door is amazing! Its as though it has always been here! I would highly recommend and hire them!

Ken Spears Construction added on a sunroom and sun porch to our home in 2014. They did outstanding work and built the addition within our budget. Fast forward 5 years later, and we had some significant wind storms that blew open the back door of the screened porch causing damaged to the door and additional damage to the siding. I contacted them to have someone come out and take a look at what had happened. They assesses the situation and within several weeks, they had the door repaired, the siding replaced, and even repaired the outdoor screen which had been scratched open by our dogs. I pointed out that a few of the specialty windows had some broken tabs from wear and tear and they had those issues taken care of as well. Mike...one of there construction crew members, took the time to explain his repairs and answer any questions that we had. They did all of this repair work without charging us! Now that’s outstanding customer service! We will definitely recommend Ken Spears Construction to anyone looking for quality construction and a commitment to having satisfied customers!!
