Great company! Great work! We had no idea we had soft spots on our roof and shingles missing until Kearns looked at it. Everything was done efficiently and professionally. Clean up was wonderful. Kearns even had a crew work the weekend in the grueling heat to make sure the roof was done since painters were coming on Monday. What an accommodating company. These guys are truly legit! They were honest and explained everything in detail. Although we’re not ready to pull the trigger today on our roof, I’m definitely keeping their information -knowing as a homeowner (and Realtor) when we do replace it there’s a 10 year transferable warranty to the new owner. I had someone come out to give me a quote on a new roof, he was very nice. I then filed an insurance claim for the damage and called them back. Sales guy had me speak to Mark, who sounded like a boss. Mark was not very friendly and was determined not to work with the insurance company. He said the only way they would talk to the insurance company was if I signed a contract and them maybe they could do something. He said they could do my small residential home, but they only sold premium upgraded product and he couldn't do anything about the price. His price was almost twice what the insurance said it should cost. He said on top of the pricing they quoted me, if his guys had to make a trip because they forgot something or ran out of something, the customer was responsible for that expense. He was very unfriendly and talked to me like I was an idiot. I have worked in retail my whole life in upper management and I get how business works. I would not recommend this company, there are a lot of good companies to deal with.

We got several quotes from multiple roofers for a new roof. Kerns was probably the most thorough in their inspection and what needed to be done, and the gentleman who came out was very knowledgeable. Felt like I was talking to someone who actually knew the product and the business and not just a salesman. He was able to answer any questions I had and I was comfortable having them on my property.

Their price was competitive but slightly more than other roofers, of whom use a superior shingle product in my opinion. In the end, I decided I wanted a certienteed roof rather than GAF, and the GAF quote from kerns was slightly higher than the other quotes that had the shingles I wanted.

We ended up going in another direction for reasons mentioned above, but I would highly recommend having kerns out for a quote if you are looking for a new roof and you can decide for yourself. In the end, I am glad I had them out and think you should too.

We had Kearns replace our roof on house and garage. James Cole-Dionisi Sales Rep and Levi Nieman Project Manager were great and work crew did a great job. They came early in the morning and worked hard and completed job in 1 day. I would highly recommend them.

Dan was the only contractor out of 5 companies we received estimates from that actually sat us down with a very detailed PowerPoint and explained the process, materials, warranties, financing options, and left us with almost no questions at the end. It's been 9 months now since Kearns installed a new roof (complete teardown of the old) and new gutters with gutter guards, and we've been exposed to snow, ice, high winds and heavy rains. When our salesman Chuck Saltmarche first came here, we explained to him 4 main issues with our old roof (other than normal wear/tear over 30 years): 1. Water would leak into one of our kitchen windows from melting snow/ice or heavy rain, 2. Extensive roof moss, 3. Rain spilling over the 4" gutters because they would get clogged with tree debris and 4.
keeping water away from our old chimney bricks. 9 months later Chuck's suggestions, including moving to larger 6" gutters with gutter guards, have really worked out well. No more water leakage, no more roof moss no more gutter waterfalls and water stays in the gutters and not pooled around the chimney/roof interface. He also l made a couple of smart suggestions to make the "street view" more attractive. Plus, the new roof looks great! Kearns wasn't the lowest price, but we're very happy with the results and would recommend them.

These guys will tell you anything to get up on your roof and have you file a claim. Now I have a fix it notice from my insurance company with no funds from them (or my own funds) to get this roof repaired. There was never a storm or damage in my area these guys are just hungry for opportunities.

They created a major headache for me and the sales person has gone ghost.

Great work from very nice people. They are down to earth and honest, and don’t pressure you. Their prices are also lower than most. They gave me a roof tuneup to tie me over a few years till I’m ready for the new roof. I’ll definitely be using them again.

We called because we noticed some water coming in near the exhaust fan in our 1/2 bath. Don Richard came out, walked over our whole roof, and said the roof is probably ok for another 5 years or so. He thought it was some nail pops around the flashing for the fan, and told us how to fix it ourselves. And he didn’t charge us for coming out! When we do need a roof we will be sure to call him back.

Chuck Saltmarche inspected my roof and had a very honest and upfront approach. Although we did not need a roof right now, It is nice to know that there’s an honest person/ company out there that will help you and be there when you need them. Ask for Chuck.

I had Kearns Brothers replace my roof and my skylights. They have different options, and I opted for the 50 year roof. Because I don't want to touch my roof for the next 50 years, I had them change my skylights from a deck mount to a curb mount. They did a good job from start to finish. They even covered the roof where shingles were missing while we waited on the insurance approval. Everyone I worked with were helpful, friendly, and answered all questions. My sales rep, Chad, did a great job gathering all the information and working with my insurance company. My project manager, Brandon, was on site making sure everything was done correctly. And my crew lead, Carlos, also made sure everything was done properly.

Unbelievable service! I thought I had a roof leak and Mike came out within a day to take a look. He was so thorough, and at the end of it told me my roof was in good shape and it was not leaking. He also told me what the actual issue was and how to go about fixing it. His honesty and expertise was invaluable to me and my family. Being able to trust someone with something I didn't know about like this was amazing. I will absolutely be using Kearns Brothers for any of my roofing needs in the future as I know I can trust them.

Kearns was great! Chuck helped me for through the very long process of me fighting with my insurance company to get a new roof (Don't take no from your insurance company). Kearns came out when they said they would and cleaned up the mess afterwards. Everything was installed perfectly.

After months of battling the insurance company and their bad faith efforts to try and deny, Caleb and Mark were able to guide me and help ensure the appropriate outcome was reached. Our sales rep Don was great. We had to reschedule our install twice, once due to company schedule changes and once due to weather. I was grateful they could reschedule the second time on a Saturday, but I was told it would be an easy one day job that took almost two full days. Crew left debris and dumpster behind for another day after that. Our PM (Brandon) said he was sick and would only communicate via text. We had to ask several times for our final invoice. The install looks good but I was not pleased with the customer service.

Have used Kearns a few times before. They always do good work at reasonable prices. However they are slow to get out to provide a quote, so to give the quote, and slow getting into their work que.

I wanted a commercial seamless gutter for the back of my house, I contacted Kearns Brothers because it is hard to trust anyone these days. The next day, Luke called me and was on his way over. Luke was very professional, listened to my needs and wants and drew up plans on the spot and agreed on a fair price. Within a couple days the guys were at my house making me a one piece seamless gutter. The removal of my old gutter and install of new was quick and I couldn’t be happier. I will be contacting Luke from Kearns Brothers to do the Trim on my house next. Why go with someone you don’t know, when you can trust the company that’s been here the whole time.

Kearns Brothers roofing did a stellar job for us. Tony Seagraves our salesman was thorough and very easy to work with, He really shined when working with the insurance adjuster! On getting the claim settled, the work was scheduled, Brandon Skrzypek was our project manager. He and the crew worked like a "fine oiled machine". They took great care in fixing everything that needed attention and doing a fantastic job. The cleanup and respect for our property was the best we have ever experienced. Brandon did a final inspection and "addressed" everything my wife noticed even if it had little to do with the new roof! Great Job! I highly recommend calling Kearns Brothers (Tony) if you need your roof replaced.

I had my roof replaced by Kearns Brothers earlier this summer. They were responsive at the time and did a good job. While working on the roof, they noted 2 pieces of fascia board that needed to be replaced, so I put a deposit down in June for that work as well. It's taken a while to get this scheduled - update - they've reached out and are scheduling the work for next week, pending weather. (I updated my rating to 5 stars as a result)

Chuck S. at Kerns Brother's did a great job doing my father's roof after a tree fell on it. Everything from working with the insurance company, to coordinating the wood, roof and gutter repairs was easy and efficient. The job turned out great and looks perfect!

Chuck was great from the start! I was experiencing a leak somewhere from my roof that was coming through my garage. He took a ton of drone pictures and reviewed them with me to find a resolution to the issue. He suggested a cheaper route to do on my own before moving forward with his company. He then checked in with me a week later and realized my issue was still there. He immediately scheduled his team to come out and fix the office while I was out of town. The work was completed and the issue was completely resolved. He followed up twice after the work was done to ensure I was happy with the work. I would highly suggest using Kearns and working directly with Chuck, if possible.

I hired Kearnes after a quik introduction and a thorough examination of old roof on house and garage. Within no time at all Kearnes roofers removed all the old shingles, and any boards that needed replacing were removed and new installed. Beautiful new roofs met me when I pulled into the driveway.
Everything was cleaned up and removed from the premises. Except they left me extra shingles just in case there would be a need for extra. The most professional group of people I have ever had the opportunity to hire. I will happily refer them to anyone that asks me for a referral!

Not only is it a big financial expense, but as a new homeowner, it is a big project to do on your home. Kearns could not have been more responsive and attentive. He came out to the house twice to answer all questions I had before signing a contract and still to this day is responsive to questions that I have regarding the roof. A few years ago my house needed both chimneys repaired. I spoke with several contractors regarding necessary steps to correct the problem. My final decision to proceed forward was with Kearns Brothers. Sales representative/Roofing consultant Chuck Saltmarche explained in detail the process to restore both chimneys. The quality repair work was completed as agreed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend both Chuck Saltmarche and Kearns Brothers for any home improvement projects and/or repairs that they specialize.

We got a roof from Kearns 18 years ago in 2006. We just got a new roof today with another company. My old roof was not vented properly at all from Kearns. Kearns said call GAF for the failing shingles. I paid $117 to send in the shingles to GAF. GAF is dragging their feet 3 weeks later. I still have not gotten an answer. The shingles had to go to the lab. Still have not gotten report. The shingles were supposed to be lifetime warranty. I called Kearns again yesterday to see if they could do anything for us. The receptionist said oh geez, I'm so sorry, and unfortunately no we can't help you. I asked if the owner could look at my roof. She said no.
Also, I heard that Kearns is not family owned any more. I know other people that got work done by Kearns and they did a very sloppy job. Kearns only gave us a 5 year workmanship warranty. New company gave us 12 years!
I would not do business with Kearns. The roof seemed fine at first but 18 years later, 65% of my wood was soft & mushy. The shingles were cracking and pitted too! At the time, we bought the best shingles with the best warranty.
I would go with another company. I realize that shingles have improved over the years but the workmanship was very poor. I don't know how it passed inspection 18 years ago.

Kearns brother roofing just did my roof and skylights in Pinckney last month and let me tell you they are second to none. Tony, Brandon the Crew and Morgan in the office are also second to none.! They're fast, efficient and caring, and if you have a difficult insurance company, questions concerns or special circumstances you won't find better! I'm a 10-year veteran of the business and I know quality and professionalism when I see it. I had a roof and gutter replacement after hail damage last year. They look great and have worked well through multiple heavy storms with high winds. Brandon (project mgr) touched up areas he thought needed it, Morgan handled things front the office great. Matt (sales rep) did an amazing job of bringing everything together and tying up some loose ends, always there to help me along the way. We had Chuck help us out years ago at our prior home with a new door wall. We learned then he also did roofing. We had some recent storm damage here at our current home. Very fair price, super professional. We have a nearby vacation home that is due for a new roof in the future and we’ll certainly call Chuck at that time. Can’t say enough good things.
