**Edited** 1 star to 5: after the appointment debacle Big Ike himself called and came out to assess our roof and give us a quote. He was prompt, explained the product, their necessity and left us with a no pressure quote. His dedication to fixing the scheduling issue shows an integrity and pride over his company and their work.

Had an appointment scheduled between 11a-12 for an estimate. Both my husband and I took time off work to be available but no one showed up. When I called Jennifer was very kind and told me that our rep would call us back to reschedule. When the rep called he told me "I'm not sure why I'm calling you, I'm just a worker" and when we indicated that we were upset and unsure when to reschedule because we couldn't afford taking another day off work, he hung up on us.
Employees behavior reflect on the entire company. I could have accepted a mistake and moved forward but when a mistake is not handled well, then the customer is treated rudely, it speaks volumes for the entire company.

Big Ike's did a great job replacing the roof on my house I was selling. They were kind enough to get it done quickly before the home inspection.

Roof looks fantastic and adds fresh look to the house. Would highly recommend Gerald as salesman since he was thorough in his inspection before quoting.

Even though I decided not to get a roof at this time, I would highly recommend Big Ikes Roofing. Estimator Gerald came to my home, did a thorough inspection and gave me the best price. If I do decide to replace my roof at a later date, I will definitly chhose Big Ikes.

I thought I might have a roof leak so I called another company first but they were pressuring me and making me feel uncomfortable. So I called Big Ikes since they replaced our entire roof, including the plywood, back in 2000. Mark came out right away to take care of things. The other company wanted me to wait two weeks. Mark is very friendly, personable, caring and dedicated. He made the repairs and even fixed my loose gutter and hanging soffit! I highly recommend Big Ikes Roofing!

I've used Big Ike's roofing twice on two different homes. Both times they did excellent work. There prices are competitive, their attention to detail is superior to other companies and they are willing to work to make sure you understand every choice possible so that you can make an informed decision about your new roof. I highly recommend.

They charge $125 to give an estimate for repairs and they don't do the work themself. They sub-contract it to someone else. They're basically a middle man with a $125 middleman fee. I'd rather utilize a company with free estimates that does the work themself or has their own employees.

We had a great experience 21 years old so we called Big Ike's again for another home. It was installed this past week. The crew did a great job again! Professional and affordable! Recommend them to everyone!

We are very satisfied with our new roof from Big Ike's. The quality of materials and experience and professionalism of the roofers was excellent.
Here's some more details about our experience:
We have a 1932 brick Tudor which needed a whole roof replacement. We believed there were 2 layers of shingles on the old roof. We had 4 companies come out to give quotes. Each of the roofing companies sent out friendly, professional estimators. With Big Ike's, you get the owner. Cost wise, Big Ike's mid range product was more expensive than the other companies' or on par with 2 of the others' higher end roofs. We debated who to go with for a long time and ended up going with Big Ike's even though it wasn't the cheapest option. Here's why: it came down between Big Ike's and the company that had given us the lowest estimate of the four. These 2 were the only companies that addressed our issue of having no intake ventilation. After doing some Googling, I realized having proper intake ventilation was ideal so the other 2 companies got knocked out of the running for not even mentioning it. Then, it came down to the specific products offered. The other company did drip edge ventilation which allows air to come in at the gutter and Big Ike's uses an intake vent that is several inches up on the roof. I contacted the shingle company we chose (Atlas) and they informed me either ventilation system would be sufficient. However, after a lot of google searching and reading through contractor forums, etc. it appeared as though the dripedge vent is more likely to have leaking issues (related to ice dams). It seemed to be less preferred than the other types of ventilation, but I will say a lot of people also said they never had problems with them. Ultimately, we decided to play it safe and went with Big Ike's because of this. We chose the Atlas Stormmaster shake and we love the way it looks. The crew that came out to install the roof was excellent - worked HARD for 2 days straight in pretty brutal weather (cold and windy) and the finished product was better than expected. We found out that there were actually 3 layers of shingles up there, but we weren't charged anything more for removing the extra layer. At the end of the day, we didn't go with our cheapest option, but we feel like we definitely got our money's worth and we are very confident we will have a beautiful, functional roof for many years.

What I didn't like:
All Ike does is Roofs, gutters and siding. I could use a contractor like him for so many other things.

My overall experience was positive and I know my roof is commercially sound and built to withstand harsh weather well into the future .

It is such a pleasure to find companies like Big Ike's these days. Ike is punctual, honest, offers a range of products and competetive prices to his customers, and behind his personal approach is thoroughness and friendliness. His crew was great, hardworking guys with attention to detail and doing the job right. Big Ike's gets highest ratings from me.

Wow! What a company and what a knowledgeable salesperson. Along with a great price the installation was great. Ike was the ONLY salesperson that went over every aspect of the product and the installation. He showed us everything we would get and everything we could expect. The crew showed up early and took care of business! Also since I was leaving for out of town Ike went above and beyond, He showed up to make sure all went well. Way to go Ike you hit it out of the park!!!!!! I think this was a TEN STAR performance..

Everything, Big Ike's have done about three roofs for me and I wouldn't have it otherwise. Workmanship was excellent and never any roof nails or problems that I had to call the company about after the roof have been installed.

I am very satisfied with Big Ike's Roofing. He took the time to give me a comprehensive overview of my roofing problem and went over what it will take to resolve it and the cost. The crew that came out was very professional and they kept cleaning as they went. My roof only took one day to complete which was great. I'd recommend this company in the future.
