Window leak caused damage to window trim and drywall damage. The guys did an outstanding job repairing, replacing and painting. You can’t even see that there was an issue. I really appreciated their professionalism and quality work!

Kangaroo Contractors and project manager Rob Sielert are excellent to work with. It is the second time they’ve helped me, this time replacing the roof and related hail damage. I especially appreciated knowing exactly what happens and when and being told to move my car out of the garage so I wouldn’t be penned in by the trucks. Rob made sure everything in the attic remained intact after the new roof was on, personally walked the property for leftover debris and met with the insurance adjuster to make sure they both agreed the extent of damage. They cleaned and restained the fence to look like new. It was so nice to have one person overseeing the project with teams they work with all the time. I will use them again for future updating projects, I couldn’t be more pleased!

Very disappointed with the service I received. The gutter cleaner left debris all over my yard. I called and they came out and got some of it. Then I had an issue with how much they removed as my gutters still had items in it. I called and asked for a manager. The girl on the phone was extremely rude when she found out I had an issue. I asked when I should expect a call back and she told me she had no idea. 3 days later I was able to find the email address of the manger or owner. He was extremely unhelpful and gave off the impression that he did not care about my concerns for either the debris on the yard, the girl who was rude on the phone, or the left over debris in my gutters. The entire process was extremely unprofessional and frustrating. My mother had a similar experience of non responsiveness as well, which was how I was able to obtain the man’s email who is either the manager or owner. Worst service I’ve received on a job in years.

The company has done several things around the house for us over the years. The most current was power washing our front steps and sidewalk. They are shaded by trees and tend to get mossy / grimy from the moisture. WOW what a difference, looks great!

We had an excellent experience with Kangaroo Contractors, they washed our home's windows inside and out. They were responsive when I first called them, managed to give a quote over the phone (I knew the number of our home's windows and sq. ft.) and assigned an excellent, kind, and dedicated person to do the job. He came on time, followed what was requested in the quote -- concerning cleaning the window tracks and well -- completing the job in a timely manner. Their price was fair and the attention to detail by the person doing the work was excellent.

I used Kangaroo (for the 1st time) with the Covid stimulus payment to help out a local business. They did an outstanding job with the gutters all around my home. Because of their work quality, I asked them to do my shower remodeling. Again, they did not disappoint. Every single person involved in my remodel was exceptional. The shower is exactly what I wanted. I will definitely use Kangaroo again for a 3rd time. And a 4th. And a 5th. And so on.

David and the rest of the crew were fantastic. They have done several projects for my home, including installing new windows and gutters. Crews were on time and did a good job cleaning up. David also checked in throughout the process. Minor items at the end were handled promptly and professionally. Looking forward to continuing home improvements with them.

We had an appointment for a siding quote at 3:30pm today, January 18, 2022. Got an email message at 3:34pm from Ward saying, "Sorry some how missed this email." and suggesting a new time for tomorrow. My husband and I rearranged our work schedules and took time away from work to be available for the appointment today. When I let him know that this was the only day we were available to get a quote, Ward responded with, "Ok sorry we couldn't help you with this project". No apology for the inconvenience besides a curt "sorry."

What Ward didn't know is that this is the first of several home improvements we are doing. Next is a new roof, then a kitchen remodel. We will find another contractor to take care of all of it.

This is my third time using Kangaroo Contractors. They are an outstanding company. The crews are some of the best I have had the pleasure of hiring.

Over the past 10+ years I've used Kangaroo for a broad range of projects -- large, small and in-between. The work has consistently been high quality and all job specs were met. I'm only posting this because kangaroo seems to be the highest rated contractor company in McKinney.

I had another quote from them a few years ago and don't remember it exactly, save that it was also ridiculous.

I need my siding fixed up and painted and got 4 quotes.
Only 1 company, kangaroo contractors, said I need all new siding and that my current siding was not fixable. Furthermore, siding aside, Kangaroo's quote for paint alone was higher than all other company's total quotes. The quote was $27,000. Everyone else was sub $5k. Um, no.

Kangaroo Contractors did an extensive renovation on our backyard including roofing and concrete work. They gave referrals for related electrical and irrigation work which also worked out well. David communicated well about cost and materials as well as inevitable delays due to Covid and weather. We are very pleased with the results and will be reaching out to them again when we are ready to do other work on our home.

We had a great experience with Kangaroo Contractors. They came and did a quick roof repair for us and the employee they sent was professional and courteous. Super great communication and quick responses. As an Electrical Expert, I work with many contractors and working with Kangaroo was pleasing.

Kangaroo Contractors did excellent work. They came out within a day of calling them - did a GREAT inspection - saw a few things that we didn't even realize and recommended a fix. They fixed a leaking vent on our roof, took down an old "direct TV" dish (repaired the roof), and installed a new and much better dryer vent. We didn't realize the dryer vent was so bad - they really saved us on that one. We approved their estimate and they were there in a few days and got everything done. VERY professional, GREAT communication, and overall a phenomenal company to do business with.

I honestly wanted to believe all of the raving reviews about Kangaroo Contractors but our experience was far from anything we’ve seen posted. I reached out on July 17th to have our home we recently purchased bid for an interior remodel. They came on July 22nd and took measurements and wrote down all items I wanted completed. He told me it would be a week at the latest to receive the bid. I understood and said that was completely fine and to just let me know if there was anything needed. On the 29th of July I reached out and asked about our bid I received a response the next day...”Yes I am working as hard as I can on these estimates. However, I have 11 big ones to work on before I will get to yours. I have to do them in the order I receive them to be fair to everyone. It will probably be the middle of next week before I can finish it. Thanks, Ward” I simply responded with a thumbs up waiting another week. On August 17th (18 days later) I reached back out asking for an update and was given the response... “Sorry we got overwhelmed with work and leads. We won’t be able to estimate it for awhile.” So it takes over a month to receive a bid for work?
What would I expect once they actually started the work? How long would that take?? Zero communication, zero progress, and poor excuses. Why is our project not important? I’d hate to think it had to be driven by anything other than work load...but I’ve never seen this happen with any reputable contract company. Sadly they lost a job that would’ve likely been $40-50k.

Great company to work with from beginning to end. 4-5 different trades involved and all did great work. Punctual and professional. I was always kept in the loop and David was quick to respond to my questions.

Kangaroo replaced my roof after a hail storm a few years back. Since then they have responded quickly and without hesitation to each and every roof-related question or concern that I have had. As a result of my experience with their roofing work, I have hired them to do additional construction. Their quality and workmanship is top of the line, their rates are always reasonable, and their follow up and responsiveness is some of the best I have experienced. They’ve replaced our roof, remodeled our master bathroom, and handled general roof repairs, all with top-notch quality. The bathroom remodel was particularly impressive, as they took our ideas and brought them to life beautifully.

I want to specifically call out Rob, who has been our contact with Kangaroo in every project. He quite regular makes home visits to ensure everything is going smoothly and that we are fully satisfied with the work.. The pricing is fair, often better than other contractors, making their exceptional work an even greater value.

Ward and his crew are always prompt, professional, and considerate of the property. Kangaroo's work is top notch! Never had a problem with any of the work so I can't say anything about follow up because its not needed. While roofing most of the houses in my neighborhood, I noticed Kangaroo was the only roofer who made sure that his workers needs were met for water and facilities. Happy workers do better work!

9/2020 Big project by Ward and David. David came out and was always courteous and worked well with his crews. Finished much quicker than expected. The only drawback was they showed up at 7 AM on Monday morning. I didn't expect them so early. It got done in one day! Big roof. Neighbors immediately were commenting on how good it looks.

UPDATE Nov 2023: May 2023 we got hit with hailstorm (2d for this house) and total of four since moving to TX in 1979. We must be storm magnets. Anyway we went with KC for this hailstorm job and very glad we did. After we got the insurance appraisal we called them on scene. They did their inspection with a drone and contacted the insurance company. Final note Kangaroo Contractors got us a 58% bump in initial claim adjustment review. The adjuster left out a bunch of valid costs which Kangaroo got us the money. Sweet!!! The roofing crew is sub-contractor but follows the GAF Master Roofer Standards. The invoice was very detailed in what they would/would not do. So we had a signed contract before starting work. Weather permitting we a done with hailstorms forever but would call KC again. And for other remodeling jobs as well as the 25+ year old house ages. UPDATE Nov 2020. We have lost count of the number of home improvement/remodeling jobs KC has done for this house. The latest was to replace four outside doors after 22 years of use and wear and tear. The work was well planned and completed in short order. I have already told them of 2021 projects. We have been using their services for many years. They are my first choice for home repairs beyond my skill level. Especially if it means getting above the first floor outside or on the roof. Window cleaning, sun shade screening, fence repairs, minor plumbing, tile flooring and attic insulation are many things they have done over the years. Most recent was repairs following a hail storm. They did the finish work by painting the entire house and fixing broken window frames and screens. If they can't do it Kangaroo can provide an excellent referral. UPDATE Dec 2018 Repairs completed in an excellent manner due to leaking roof damage in family room. Fixed sheet rock and repainted. Also replaced/repaired worn faded trim on roof area and installed better turbo wind vanes for attic. UPDATE May 2016. And they did another great job on master bathroom. Not as extensive as kitchen but still well done. UPDATE Aug 2015. They finished a great remodeling job on kitchen; new everything except cabinets which didn't need change. Scheduling all the sub-contractors took the headache out of getting the job done right and quickly.
