JWF Roofing

I had been researching and observing many different roofing companies in my neighborhood for the past two years, and I had decided to go with JWF Roofing. Their price is reasonable, and they did a good job (just a little over two days for a 2,300-square-foot single-story house). They even went beyond and did extra sealing per my request between the main roof and patio roof for me at no additional charge. Both Jim Sr. and Jr. are decent people, and you can feel their sincerity when you talk to them. The crew was nothing but fantastic.

JWF Roofing and Services. Jim and his team members are spot on, quick, and efficient. Jim is very professional and easy to work with! The install was fast and completed in just a couple days. The price was very reasonable for everything that they did by lifting up all tiles, cleaning the surface then replace any weathered/rotted wood, color matched broken tiles and installed all new G-40 overlap/double layer for tile roofs. Included were all new drip edges, bird blockage end caps, plus paint to match house color including all roof vents too. I will recommend JWF Roofing to anyone that is looking for great customer service and attention to detail.

JWF Roofing just completed replacing the felt underlayment on our roof last week. Completed in under 2 days. Roof locks great and had rain most of Sunday that was great test of the new roof. No leaks as I expected from a quality company. They also do a very good job cleaning up and the owner Jim walks around with you to verify you are satisfied with the completed work. He also mentioned if we noticed anything to be reviewed or investigated feel free to reach out anytime. I would definitely use again.

JWF Roofing just completed a job on our 25-year-old concrete tile roof. As we await a rare rainstorm in May-June-July for Arizona - Maricopa County and the summer monsoon season we feel confident that their work was top notch, I'll come back and update if it wasn't, but not before I reach out and give JWF Roofing a chance to remedy any complaint. The owner/operator son/father are very straight forward and easy to work with so I feel confident any issue that comes up will be addressed. Nearly all the low reviews on here are caused by their advertising/marketing efforts with door hangers. I get it, I don't like door hangers either but I still get them and this is why I have a trash can just steps away from my front door. They aren't soliciting as in knocking on your door and insisting on talking to you, they are simply trying to get their name out there. If you see their signs going up in front yards near you showing a job in progress or just completed and want a quote for some roof repair or replacement, don't hesitate to ask for quote. If you've ever gone through a new roofing job you know how messy and dangerous the debris can be. All those old nails that fall around were all diligently picked up at the end of each day. They had an efficient systematic way that the crews removed the roofing tiles to allow the underlayment (water barrier) to be removed and replaced and then reinstall/replace the roofing tiles.

I was amazed at how fast the whole roofing job went. It took JWF only 2 days and 2 hours to complete our roof. Both of the other roofing quotes estimated the job to take 5 to 7 days.
The price quoted by JFW was the best one we got. The other both were over priced and tried to up-sell and pressure us into signing up right away as prices are going up. Jim was very friendly and answered all of our questions with no pressure and no up-selling.

The estimate was on par with the others we obtained, and Jim was able to get us on the schedule quickly. The crew was even able to arrive early (Friday rather than Monday) and worked quickly. We are very happy with the completed job.

I'm very impressed with JWF. We had a roof tile fall off the second story and break a bunch of tiles on the first story. Jim came out the next day and gave me a quote, and had his crew back within a few days to get everything fixed up. It was a small repair but I appreciate the great customer service. I will keep Jim in mind for all future roof work.

We just had our foam roof resurfaced with jwf roofing and had a great experience. They are family owned and ran which is a huge plus. I initially called them out as a second opinion. The initial company that I had had come out is larger and the person who came out to inspect and review the findings was not an actual technician versus a salesperson. The other company initially stated I would need to replace my roof and when I informed them it was less than 10 years old I was given other options for resealing and there were multiple different options that felt like upsells. A neighbor gave me Jim's information and it was very cut and dry. We simply needed to reseal and add a little foam in a low spot. Price was good service was fast and Charlie, Jim's brother, was very informative and reassured me that my roof was actually in good condition other than just needing to be resealed. The pricing for having two coats was the same as the other company had quoted for one coat. Would def. Recommend to others.

Had a 30 year old roof, and knew it was time. 2 years ago, there was a small leak. Two other companies refused to repair it - insisting it was unfixable without a new roof. JWF was doing a house in my neighborhood, so I reached out for a repair quote. Jim not only offered to repair it for a reasonable fee, but gave me a whole-roof replacement quote at a significantly lower price than the competition (with equivalent material and even a better warranty!), and even offered to deduct the repair fee from the whole-roof quote! It was great. Repair was done quickly, and it didn't cause any issues with the old roof. Fast forward to last week, and there's a leak in a different area of the house (not related to his repair), and we decided it was time to pull the trigger. Called up Jim on a Friday, who says he'd honor his 2023 quote, and could start as early as Monday (my timing was lucky). Job was done by midday Tuesday, just in time for some nice heavy rain to test it out on Wednesday (no leaks). they did a great job cleaning up too.

We highly recommend JWF Roofing! Jim and his team are efficient, friendly and most importantly professional and easy to work with. Our install was fast and completed in two days. I was honestly shocked it went so fast. This is the second complete roofing job JWF has done for my family and we are very happy. JWF replaced our roof a few years ago and did a nice job for a very competitive price. Had a piece of flashing come loose and a small leak in our garage. They came right out and took care of it for us. Great services!

Jim and his team did a great job on my roof replacement. From the first estimate to the end of the job, Jim kept me informed. He emailed me pictures of the progress and was there in person both days. They crew was very good and cleaned up everything, even using a magnet sweeper to collect any stray nails. Would highly recommend them.

We had Jim come fix a roof leak we found after the recent rains and he provided a very reasonable estimate and was back in a couple days to do the repair. The work was great and timely. We have used his services before and recommend his company!

I contacted JWF late on a Tuesday. Jim came to the house the next day. JWF has done a number of roofs in our neighborhood, so he was familiar with the size and amount of work required. He gave me a quote on the spot. Jim said that JWF use to have several crews working on different homes at the same time. Then several years ago they decided to combine all their workers on a single job. This insured that their best people were always on every job. It also meant the work could be done quicker. (Our roof was done in less than 2 days). Jim and all the workers were prompt and very professional. They started at 7am on a Friday and ended by 4pm on Sat. It had rained quite a bit on Friday night, but the roof was well protected to prevent any leaks. They did a good job cleaning up. I highly recommend them.

JWF roofing company was referred to me by my neighbor a year and a half ago they replaced some roofing paper on my house did a lot of work in short time I was happy with that recently it rained and the gentleman came to look over the leak on my patio pointed out the problem that I can fix myself with no charge I appreciated that very much he is very knowledgeable I would recommend this company to anyone that needs this kinda work done on their home.

I moved into this home in 2020. The previous owners had the flat roof recoated at time of sale. Although I've had no leaks thus far. The after the fact customer service to get an annual inspection is terrible, Non existent. With the 5 year warranty Jim is supposed to inspect annually, the first two years I had to Hound him to come out! And when I called him back to say he never came, he said he did and all looked good... but he never spoke to me , knocked on the door, anything.... the next year he answers right away always, when I ask for an inspection there is a "ill call you back " you never get. So i call, call leave message, etc.. same thing again... no show ...year three.. this time he was going to add me in while hes in the area and to call him back the next day... then you can never reach him again!!! .. after three years of realizing they don't show concern or care for the annual follow up which I would love so we can make any repairs needed before a major leak happens! I finally quit trying.. even though youd think a good company that wants to keep thier cliental would call out to the customers to inform and schedule...his bread and butter seems to be the initial install, then I'm guessing your not worth anything until a new recoat is needed .This is the 5th year. And unfortunately I'll not be going with JFW again.

We retained JWF roofing to inspect and perform needed updates to our roof. Jim and the team were quick, professional, and fairly priced. He brought in a full team and the work was done within the week. Some time later, during an especially heavy rainstorm, a portion of the roof sprung a leak. Though this was not related to the work JWF had previously done, Jim was very responsive and timely in sending his staff out to fix the source of the leak. I highly recommend Jim and JWF roofing.

Great service and a fair no haggle price. I called JWF on a Saturday and they were able to come out the same day for an estimate. Scheduled me for that Monday and did a great job at a good price. Jim and Charlie were extremely easy to work with and gave me a great deal on a new roof. They kept me updated throughout the process and made sure I was pleased with the final product. They even put together a portfolio of pictures I could keep in case I ever sell the home. My favorite was this corner they applied cement to allow for better rain flow. Great product, great price. I would definitely refer them to neighbors, friends and family.

We’re in the process of selling our home and the roof underlayment came up during the inspection. We were provided a quote of almost $15k from the buyers, JWF was able to beat that by a good $6k. They had a crew on site within days and finished the entire job within two days. Great service all the way around.

I called five different roofing companies and received five different estimates. Thank goodness JFW was one of them! I met with Jim Ford who came across as honest and with a lot of integrity.
JFW did the work for 30 to 50 percent of the price quoted by the other roofing companies and in addition the price was all inclusive whereas the other companies seemed to want to nickel and dime their prices quoting additional charges for each piece of plywood, facia board, broken tiles, etc. Additionally, JFW installed a double layer of underlayment whereas this was an average $4K upcharge with the other companies.
Really impressive and professional crew. When the work was completed, they left my property in better condition than when they arrived.
Overall, I had a spectacular experience with JFW and would highly recommend them. If you’re looking for estimates on your roof make sure you have a conversation with JFW as you will not regret it!

They had done three roofs in our neighborhood and we had noticed the good job they had done. So we went over and talked to Jim about doing our roof. They quoted us a price we thought was very fair and hired them to do ours the next week. Their “huge” crew showed up on time and got to work. They were efficient, neat and did a great job. They finished on time and did a very thorough job of cleaning up after the work. Everyone we dealt with was very friendly and nice. I highly recommend these guys. Also a family owned company!

Fantastic experience with JWF Roofing, Jim came out same day to inspect some damage and had a crew out the following week to make some minor repairs. Did not suggest a bunch of unneeded work like other roofers and saved us $$$. Would recommend to anyone in the valley.

Patio roof was replaced less than a week later with new Facia from Charlie and their crew. JWF Roofing resurfaced my (flat) roof a few years ago, 2021 I think. A leak sprung up through one of my bathroom vents a few weeks ago. When I called them, they saw I had a five year warranty on the work they did before, so they came out and fixed the leak at no charge. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. I am very happy with their service!

*1/27/2025 Update: unfortunately, I felt the need to lower my review from 5 stars to 2. The reason is, I developed a leak in my roof, which was under warranty from JWF. I tried multiple times to have them come out and take care of it and despite multiple assurances that they would, they never showed up to even see what the problem was.

I got JWS number from a friend who just had some work completed after I noticed some water damaged plywood on my eve. They happened to be working in my neighborhood and came over within 15 minutes to give an estimate. They were able to perform the repairs next day, and did great work! They even painted to match the new plywood exposed on the eve which I thought was great as a previous roofing company we used at another house years ago didn’t bother to do that. Thanks, JWF for such prompt and quality service! Nice to do business with a local family owned company.

The most professional, honest, budget friendly roofing company I have ever dealt with. Jim and his team performed the work in a timely manner with every attention to detail you could ever expect or hope for in getting your roof repaired. They checked and rechecked their work to make sure it was done absolutely perfect. They left without a trace as they cleaned up and left everything better than they found it. BEWARE!!!!! JWF drove through my neighborhood dropping off flyers in our mailboxes, driving on sidewalks, and even through 1 of my neighbor's front yard. When I called the company to address my concerns, the guy who answered called me every cuss word you can imagine and some I never heard of before. It appears that if you do something this company doesn't like, they will react in the most vile way possible.

Phenomenal experience from start to finish. Put in a quote request and they gave me a call less than a minute after I submitted it. I originally scheduled the reservation for 3:00 pm and they said there was a foreman in the neighborhood and could be there in half an hour. Bill showed up, I told him the repair I needed (two corner tiles put back up) and he had his crew working on it in no time. They secured all the other corner tiles, found a better matching tile than the one I had, and put the tiles back in place. The price was more than fair. I will be contacting JWF roofing in the near future for a whole roof replacement. Can't wait to do business with them again. Thank you again Bill!!

Made the call requesting a quote on rain gutters and when Bill came to give us quote he told us honestly that we did not need them but there was actually a spot on our roof that had a leak. He could have sold the gutters and fixed the roof but he saved us the expense and sent out a crew the next day to repair the roof! Thanks Charlie and Jim Sr for the great work. It was a great experience from start to finish and we will use them when we replace our whole roof next spring.

Work was done well but be sure to get any quote in writing. They negotiate quickly but never wrote it down. My husband and I both heard him and wrote it down and said it back at the time but he remembered it differently. The crew also broke a large terra cotta pot (4' tall) in my yard and never replaced it as promised.

Bill came out and inspected our roof, he gave us his honest assessment and did a wonderful job on our repairs. Will go back to them in the future and highly recommend.

Called Jim on Tuesday with a roof noise and he immediately set up an appointment for Wednesday morning. After inspecting our roof he explained how our roof was installed and in high winds, the noise was normal under those conditions. He could have easily looked around and told us we needed this or that to fix the issue. Very professional and prompt. Yes, I will definitely call again with any roofing issues.

We called JWF for roof inspection, Jim was honest about what needed to be done which just some flashing repair, he fixed it right then and there. If we ever do need more work done we will definitely call them again. He responded quickly and showed up on time.

I had a leak in my roof and it was also time to get the underlayment replaced. After meeting with several roofing companies, I went with JWF. They were great to deal with. They are very responsive and showed up early for the inspection and early for the actual work! They didn't cut corners and my expectations were exceeded at every turn. I will definitely recommend JWF to my friends and family.

I highly recommend this company. Jim was very responsive and gave a fair quote. He was able to get us on the schedule quickly. The work was fast and very good quality. There were no surprises, no extra fees or cost. Everything was clean, no debris left behind. Had we not heard them working, we would not have known they'd been there. Everything was back to normal in just a few hours, no inconvenience at all!

I had the guys at JWF Roofing come out again to do another slightly larger patch job on a different portion of my roof. After we experienced a recent spate of inclement weather, I just assumed they would be very busy and unable to get to me right away. But I was pleasantly wrong. I just had to add to my previous review because I'm still so darn impressed with Jim and his crew! Jim just blows my mind with his response time. He almost every time I called, answered the phone. I know that sounds like a joke but seriously, no one answers the phone! But Jim does. The speed at which these very skilled tradesmen worked at is first rate. Their quality of work and professionalism is top shelf. Again, they left no mess behind. In a previous life, I worked in property management for many years. So when I recommend someone, you can trust that I've had some experience with contractors. I know some very good contractors and tradespeople who work on these kind of small jobs. Unfortunately from my experience, I also know some really bad ones too. Jim and the JWF crew really deserve some praise. Their rate is very competitive and fair. They give a nice warranty on their work and will credit the two prior roof repair jobs toward my future full roof replacement that is surely looming in my near future. Job well done!!!
