Julius Stewart Construction Services

Julius Stewart has been the best construction service I've used to date. They are honest, transparent, and great communicators. They were great at helping fill in the aesthetic touches our architectural drawings were lacking. When complete, our home addition perfectly fit the style of our 1925 home. Their attention to detail was impressive and there was no guess work when they would show up. I couldn't recommend them enough.

I did not end up partnering with Julius Stewart. I cannot speak to the quality of their work. I did not get a bid from them because I didn’t like how I was treated and the way they made me feel about whether or not my project was worth their time. I contacted them via their website query page that asks a number of questions, including the budget one has for a given project. I provided a number I thought was reasonable and that I felt comfortable sharing. When I was contacted by a rep they again asked what my budget for the project was, and I again supplied them with a number I felt was reasonable and felt comfortable sharing. I was told on the phone that the # was probably low. I said I could be reasonably flexible. We scheduled a site visit to review the project. During the site visit the rep offered a product that I was unfamiliar with and asked if I would be interested? I asked if I could be provided with a quote for both the new option and the one I had originally contacted them about. I was told, very bluntly, that that wasn’t worth their time to provide me with a quote for both. They agreed to send me a link to the new product. I reviewed the product and decided it was not what I was interested in and then requested they send me a quote for the like for like replacement I had contacted them for originally. I was again asked what my budget for this project was… at this point I said thanks for your time but you are not the contractor for me. I understand that there is a level of managing people’s expectations but there is a better way to approach it. I did not feel like this would be a trusted partnership. Their approach made me feel like they were looking for my absolute highest budget number. They could be a quality contractor that does nice work but I will never know. I gave them 3 stars because they followed up quickly to my online query, scheduled a site visit and showed up at the time they said they would.

They gave a decent estimate of services. Finished in half the time and $200 under quoted estimate! Definitely would recommend again!

Amy and her team helped us remodel our kitchen and basement late last year and into this new year. We are pleased with the results! Our kitchen feels so much more spacious, and with so many moving pieces we were grateful to Amy and Arthur in keeping everything moving. This was our first experience with remodeling and while there were times we had wished for more communication, when we expressed that feedback it was well received and we saw improvements. Their finishing carpenter, Rick, who did our cabinet install is a true pro, and really made everything fit so seamlessly. Other members of the crew were friendly, professional, and respectful of our space. We are grateful for the services they provided and how they really helped our space feel more like home.

Our entire experience with Julius Stewart was positive from start to finish. They were very professional and responsive to our wants, and needs, as well as very quick to respond to our communications and questions. They did a great job of staying in budget and, equally important for us, they stayed on schedule. The quality of their work is top-notch and we would reccomend them to anybody looking to do some home, or business, remodeling.

Julius Stewart is a great choice as a contractor. We used them to remodel our bedroom, 2 bathrooms and replace our deck. The quote was reasonable and they delivered on time. Most importantly, they were always there when they said they would be. Highly recommend using this company.

Our new attic door was installed efficiently and professionally. They made sure to use sheeting so the dust for cutting the hole in our ceiling was contained so their clean up was minimal. We love our new attic ladder and having easy access for storage has been a dream come true! Thanks!
