I've hired Josh for a couple of roofing inspections and fixes and I've been really happy with his dependable and thorough work - he's worth his weight in gold. In my first year of homeownership I unfortunately had to deal with many surprise fixes and I got to quickly experience the nightmare that is the post-covid tradespeople shortage over and over again. Mr. McNutt is the only contractor I've dealt with so far that returns calls consistently, shows up when he says he will, is kind and honest in his communications, and does a great job on his projects at a fair price. Thank you Josh, your reliability and respect for your customers is appreciated.

We've used Josh a few times over the years. He is very good at his work, excellent customer service and no surprises with cost. I would recommend him no matter the size of the project!

I am so relieved that Josh squeezed me into his very busy schedule, before the tornadic storm hit, to repair a long stretch of severely sagging soffit that would surely have been scattered in the winds. He took care of it neatly, securely, quickly, and for less than the original estimate. Then he remained a good while longer, at my request, to assess a tricky leaking problem that will involve much more complexity to fix. I am again relieved that he will be back to take care of that, too.
UPDATE: I had Joshua back to take care of the leaks, and several downpours later, all is dry! Thank you so much for your great work!

Josh responded and showed up to inspect the roof of our guest house on the same day I sent in an email contact inquiry. Very punctual, very thorough. We had a minor leak for many years, which we ignored and a new one suddenly appear in a new spot on our somewhat flat roof section. Josh recommended a different roofing material, better suited for virtually flat roofs than the asphalt shingles already in place. We went with his experience and he neatly tied in the rolled material into the wood shake shingles over the adjacent roofline. We are thrilled to find Josh and will contact him for future roofing repairs.

Josh did an excellent job with a custom soffit alteration. This was a unique request and most businesses (roofers, carpenters, etc.) were not even willing to quote the job. Josh was willing to provide a thorough quote and discuss a variety of options to tackle the job. He was responsive, efficient (knocking it out in one day), knowledgeable and produced quality work. We were so thankful for his willingness to simply consider the job and couldn't be happier with the final result.

Josh is great. We had a couple spots on the roof that needed a touch up. He also pointed out some tuck pointing we need done and was able to provide a referral. Will definitely use Josh again!

Bad experience. Josh call late on Sunday. First said he was too busy and would be a while to get to me. Then suddenly he had time on a Tuesday. He showed and was very rude to my wife. I called to find out what happen, was very rude and could not wait. I would not recommend.

Joshua came out to look at my roof. He came that same day after making several stops along the way in the pouring rain. He fixed it on the spot for a very reasonable charge.
I would use him again and recommend him to anyone!

We had a leak develop in a bedroom in a house we had just purchased and expected the worst. We called Josh and he came out the next day to assess. He was very timely, professional, and personable. He was able to find the source of the leak, and his estimate was a huge relief. Two days later he came out and fixed the issue. We are extremely happy with Josh's work and will be calling him for all future roofing needs.

I was referred to Josh after another roofing company told me they don’t do repairs. I sent Josh a text and he got back to me quickly, came to give me an estimate and we set a date to do the repairs. He spent the entire day on the roof and completed all the repairs. I called Josh the day before Thanksgiving after squirrels chewed several holes in my roof. Because it was a holiday weekend, I honestly didn’t expect to hear back from him anytime soon, but he called me back later that evening and set up a time to come out first thing Monday morning. Not only that, he called me on Sunday to remind me he’d be there. And he did a fantastic job! He found a near-perfect match for my 7 year-old shingles, repaired both holes, and as long as he was up there, replaced a few other shingles that were looking a little dicey. He was very polite, very thorough, and very reasonable. I hope I never have to call him again, but it’s comforting to know that if the squirrels do come back for another shot at my attic, I’ve got a great roof guy to help me fight back! Honestly couldn’t recommend him highly enough!

Great customer service!!! Joshua returned my initial call promptly, committed a day and time he could come out to estimate the repair costs and provided a very fair estimate. Once we agreed to move forward, Joshua again gave me a time that he would return to do the work. Joshua returned as promised, completed the repair and was a pleasure to do business with.

I bought a house with an unusual roof in 2018. Two prior companies did spot fixes on issues I discovered (and many others came out to provide estimates). In 2021, I contacted Joshua, who quickly responded and came out. He spent over an hour—no charge!—meticulously inspecting the roof prior to providing an estimate, identifying a lot of problem areas, many that I was also aware of. Of the roofers I’ve dealt with, he is by far the most knowledgeable. He paid a great attention to detail, taking the time to fix everything right and not just slapping a patch on one problem and leaving. We haven’t yet gone thru winter, when my worst leak issues occur, but I’m cautiously optimistic that the work he has done should fix the ongoing problems. He’s VERY professional and I would highly recommend him.

Josh saved our home from a disaster. Because we apparently have too little insulation in our attic, the freezing temperatures coupled with the huge amount of snow on the roof formed a big ice dam. As the sun warmed the snow, the newly melted water was getting up under the shingles and pouring into our eave cavities. We needed somebody to fix this quick to avoid further damage to the roof, eaves, and walls. We also didn’t want mold in the future.

We left a message for Josh, telling him about our issue. He returned the call that evening and was able to come out the next day to chip the ice dam off of the roof.

This was not an easy project for him to do. The roof was dangerously icy and the snow at that time was about a foot thick. It took him about 4 1/2 hours to do this work, and it was in below zero temperatures. He got the job done and we were so grateful.

We believe the price, which he quoted us before the job, was more than fair, considering the danger involved and the time it took him to get rid of the ice dam. This job was on a second story roof.

Josh was personable, efficient, and very professional. We would recommend him to anyone who needs to have any type of roofing job done. We can’t thank him enough.

Noticed a small dried water mark on my ceiling over my fireplace. Called Josh on 12/18 and he came out late the next day to inspect. Identified open spaces in storm collar, crown, and I channel seams which needed to be sealed. Josh was upfront about difficulties scheduling during winter weather and around the holidays. In the end he was able to seal up our issues before Christmas. While we don't yet have evidence of what appears to be a top quality job, we're confident that Josh solved the problem. He was professional and very responsive to questions. I'd recommend Josh anytime.

I agree with all of the review posted before me. Josh got back to me quickly and completed the work as estimated. He fixed 2 leaking pvc pipe boots, replaced some shingles, nailed down a loose edge, and a couple of other small things he noticed after spending more time on the roof. I requested him to not ring the door bell or knock during his estimate visit as my wife had meetings going and he acknowledged it and followed through. Worth your time to contact him.

We recently had an extremely windy storm come through town. As I was taking out the trash the next day I noticed several shingles scattered across my lot. I looked around for contractors to come survey the damage and found Joshua. He returned my call the same day and set up the appointment to come out to the house. Once here he inspected the roof for damage and gave me a very reasonable quote for repair. Overall, he was responsive, friendly and professional. I would definitely use this service again and recommend to anyone!

Really happy with the service. Joshua is a nice guy too, so that makes all the better. I called him on Saturday and he returned my call that night. We did not have any kind of emergency, so Joshua came out Monday and completed the work. The price was also very fair. If we/when we have future roof issues I'll definitely call Joshua to do the work.

Joshua is a professional highly recommend him. He does the work himself and it is done right, on time, on budget. He communicates well and his estimates and post-job inspection reports are well written and detailed as to what is needed and costs involved.

He provided an extremely reasonable quote and immediately went to purchase the needed supplies to complete the repair that same day. Quality workmanship. Does not take shortcuts. Replaced my old roof 5 years ago and just did a routine resealing around chimneys etc. We have had no problems .

Joshua did a great job replacing some missing shingles. He checked the whole roof, found a few more spots that could give us trouble and fixed them as well. I definitely recommend him.

Strong communication from the time I posted a website request for quote. Josh arrived today 3/23 on-time and was able to resolve my roof leak (boot flashing) and install a piece of siding. I felt comfy throughout the process - highly recommend.

Excellent experience, thank you Josh. He said he'd be at my home between 12:30 and 1 PM. He pulled in my driveway at 12:30. Next, he checked the location of the leak inside the house, went up to check the roof and finally in the attic to verify his hypothesis that the leak was being caused by the soil stacks. Even though my roof is about 20 years old he did not try to scare me into replacing it, instead he reported his findings and explained in detail what he was going to do to fix the problem. He also noted cracked caulking around vents and some boots and resealed them as well, all at what I consider a very reasonable price. Based on my experience I highly recommend Josh to anyone in need of a professional roofer's services. Great job and thanks again Josh!

Awesome. I had a small repair job after some shingles blew off the roof. I called Joshua and he came out the next day. While he was on the roof he fixed some other loose shingles and removed an old satellite dish and a couple of dish mounts at my request. He didn't try to sell me a new roof or anything I didn't need. He cleaned up and hauled away everything when he was done. And he did it all at such a fair price I almost felt a little guilty. Plus he's just a really nice guy. Thank you Joshua.
