We had our roof replaced this summer because of hail damage and Matt Powers made what could have been a real nightmare to figure out and get done into an actual enjoyable experience. Matt Powers was literally with us every step of the way, answered all our questions, was very quick to respond to emails, and made sure we were kept in the loop the entire time. There was great confidence through the entire process that we were in good hands. The work done was quality, the crew worked fast (they completed our roof in a day) and kept things clean and safe (we have a couple littles and every one was mindful of their safety). Matt Powers was also on site the entire time overseeing the work. Johnson Roofing did an excellent job of handling out 80K+ insurance claim and coordinating with all the different trades. All we had to do was schedule times to be home when the contractors were doing work. Having Johnson Roofing be turn key from dealing with all the trades, billings, and fighting with the stubborn insurance company the whole time to make sure we were covered as we should be. I pray to never need them for storm damage again, but if the fickle finger of fate strikes again, this time I know who I’m calling first, Robert at Johnson Roofing.

We just had our roof replaced by Johnson Roofing and Construction and we could not have been happier! In this day and age, it is not often that you find a construction company that shows up on time, does fantastic work, and ensures that the owner is happy before ever leaving the site.
When we had the most recent hailstorm in Plattsmouth, my husband and I had no intention of having our roof replaced because our home is less than 2 years old. When Robert from Johnson Roofing approached me one afternoon while I was in my garage, I was blown away by his professional and kind demeanor as well as the fact that he actually lived locally and wasn't part of some fly-by-night company.
Not only did Robert hop on my roof that afternoon and complete a quick inspection, he was incredibly helpful when our insurance company wasn't, he showed up with the appraiser and got on the roof with him, and was on site the day of replacement. In fact, our appraiser showed up two hours earlier than they said and when I called Robert, he happened to be at the car dealership nearby on his time off and he left his car, WALKED over to our home, and met the appraiser so that he could be there to show them the damage and answer any of my questions.
When that same insurance company told us that our deductible was $11,000, Robert didn't hesitate to go to the owner and they worked with us to get us a cash deal that made it so we were able to afford replacing the roof. Robert also brought samples over so that we could decide on the type and color of shingles, gave us lots of options for things like gutters and drains, and was there not only for delivery of the product but also on the day of replacement. We opted for a color that was different than the rest of our neighborhood and Robert was even kind enough to reach out to our HOA to ensure that there wouldn't be an issue with the color- he went above and beyond doing this since it wasn't his responsibility but he cared enough to make sure that we would love our roof for years to come and that we wouldn't have any issues with the HOA.
In terms of the actual day of replacement, I have nothing but rave reviews! Living in Nebraska for most of my life, I have seen my fair share of roof replacements during wind and hail season. I have NEVER seen a company take the time to tarp off the back deck, back yard, and driveway so that we didn't get nails that would hurt our children, pop our car tires, or tear up our lawn mower. Not only did they tarp everything, they also used a nail magnet throughout our ENTIRE yard when they were done to ensure that no nails got left behind.
The roof was torn down and replaced in one day and the crew showed up right on time, worked thoroughly but quickly, and the finished product is absolutely beautiful- not to mention we were able to get a discount on our insurance since we went with an impact-resistant shingle. Robert was on site throughout the day, when the work was completed, stopped by a few weeks later to ensure we were happy with the product, and the day after completion, Robert came back over with the nail magnet and checked my entire yard again just to be sure that my kids and pets wouldn't step on any nails and get hurt. Robert even let my 7-year-old son con him out of a few dollars so that he could buy himself a Spiderman costume.
I cannot say enough good things about Johnson Roofing and Construction and as someone who has her fair share of headaches in getting construction jobs completed and done well- that's saying something! In fact, we were able to convert multiple neighbors from the company that they were going to use and every single one of them had nothing but rave reviews about Johnson Roofing and about Robert. We will never have a roof replaced by another company after having such an amazing experience.
If you have made it this far into the review, sorry it was long but my husband and I seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about Johnson Roofing and Robert. If you need a roof replacement- don't look anywhere else!

After the May storm came through and did significant hail damage to our roof we met with Robert from Johnson Roofing. Robert was so easy to work with and very knowledgeable. Robert took the time to explain everything in detail to us and make sure that we understood. Throughout the process of replacing the roof Robert kept us updated on everything. Robert will be someone we call every time we need to. He made a lasting impression on us and he is local.

We had our roof replaced by Johnson Roofing and Construction and from beginning to end the entire process was extremely pleasant. Robert Mott was the Johnson Roofing representative that we dealt with. My wife and I could not have been more pleased with his knowledge, helpfulness and professionalism. His attention to details and making certain that we were pleased, was greatly appreciated. He went the extra mile on numerous occasions. He actually spent a couple of hours with us one afternoon climbing up and down from our roof and laying out various colors of shingles so we could see how they actually looked ON the roof. My wife and I were very impressed with how quickly and smoothly everything went. The end result was we now have a beautiful roof. We had never dealt with Johnson Roofing and Construction before, but we would certainly use them in the future.

We had a pretty old roof that had damage and insurance wouldn't help us. So when a wind storm came through and blew off much of the roof, Johnson Roofing really came through. Robert lives in the neighborhood and was all over helping us. They worked with insurance for us and got everything lined up. They tarped our roof so we could limp through the winter and make it to good enough temperatures to put on a new one. Once we got to the actual installation, the roofing installers worked SO hard. They were on it! And the house looks absolutely fabulous. We've gotten so many comments already. They even re-roofed our little library that we have out front of our house, which was super sweet and made our daughters so happy. We hope now to need a new roof anytime soon, but if a storm came through, we know they would make it as easy as possible on us. Thanks Johnson Roofing!!!

I highly recommend Johnson roofing. They were professional and on time. They were transparent and accountable. They were easy to work with and did what they said they would do. While roof was replaced in a day. It was a painless process.

Robert Mott was fantastic. He was up-front with all the costs and what exactly was in the scope of work. The crew that did the tear off and installation on the new shingles were great, everyone was very friendly. The time Robert took to make sure the nails and other debris were all picked was amazing. Craig and his crew did a fantastic job on my new roof. Very a very fast and professional job on my roof. And Craig did everything he said he would do.

Our home was hit by a spring storm that unfortunately involved quarter-sized hail. After looking at some roofing companies online, having a few come out to my property to give me a quote, I ultimately chose Johnson Roofing. That decision was not based on price, as many offered to do the job at the cost my insurance was quoting me, but rather the promptness of their response and how comfortable I felt that Craig Hill with Johnson Roofing would take care of the repairs. Over the course of the next month, the roof got removed and replaced (working quickly over a day and a half) and the gutters and window flashing replaced (on a separate day). Throughout this time, Craig let me know what was going on at all steps in the process, and was very responsive to any concerns via phone or text. They handled the entire process with the insurance, even working on my behalf to get some additional damage covered that the insurance adjuster initially missed. In the end, I wasn't out any money, had a new roof on my house, and I didn't have to pull any hair out during the process.

Bottom Line: If you are in need of a new roof and don't know where to turn, my experience with Craig at Johnson Roofing would lead me to suggest you give them a call. The process was seamless, making what normally is a very stressful time just after a storm damages your home, and turning it into an experience where I was confident that I (and my home) was in the right hands. A year later now, and I am looking at purchasing a new home that has an older roof (20+ years). Craig was the first person I called, as he is one of the few contractors who I immediately felt I could trust his judgement.

Awesome experience. Craig worked with me when our timing changed and when we were ready...bam! They were on it! The crew were polite and cleaned things up when done. The roof looks awesome!! The gutter crew came a few days after the roofers. Because the new gutters matched so well and again the crew cleaned things up I had to look twice when we got home. The new gutters were on and a perfect match!! Thanks Craig and the crew at Johnson's Roofing!! We'll call ya when we are ready for new windows!

Had Craig from Johnson roofing come out after the hail storm this year. He got my roof, gutters, and siding covered by insurance. He and his crews came out and did a great job. There workmanship is second to none and they cleaned up before they left. I couldn’t be happier with Johnson roofing and will recommend them to everyone. Thanks Craig for the great job!!

I got to work with Mr. Craig Hill to have my roof and gutters replaced after a tornado tore through town. His company did a good job on the installation of both the new roof and gutters. While the quality of the work was high, I think that it was the level of service and communication that really makes them worth recommending. Craig kept me constantly updated and replied to texts or calls promptly. I really felt like he went the extra mile. I even passed one of Craig’s business cards to my boss when he asked me if I knew any roofers…

Update: I was deployed when we got snow dumped on us this year. This led to some ice damning up on the roof that was causing it to leak into the house. My wife called Mr. Hill up again after a year and he showed up the next morning to knock off the ice damns. It was fantastic and I appreciate it.

Adam and his team were nothing but professional. They assisted me through everything with the insurance company, and all of the different trades required to get my home back to normal after the hail storm. I would HIGHLY recommend Johnson Roofing & Construction to anyone!

We've had nothing but problems from the start with this company and the owner.
The worst part is they botched replacing the flue and cap on my roof so badly that they caused my furnace to break sending gas through the vents. We had to evacuate the house in the middle of the night. Thankfully no one was harmed.
Once we finally diagnosed the flue/cap issue the technician that replaced it said no emissions had left our house since we had the rood put on (summer 2016) and that we were lucky that we were all still alive!
Do not use this company under any circumstance!

Adam at Johnson Roofing helped me with my insurance claim. He explained the claims process and even helped get a few things covered that my adjuster didn't originally include. All the crews cleaned up and everything was done very quickly as well. I would highly recommend using them.
