Technician Mike Corley and his trainee were friendly and helpful. A ground fault switch was replaced for which I am very grateful as I can now dry my hair in the bathroom again! We have several projects we are planning and Mike answered all of our questions about these future plans. We'll definitely use your company again when we're ready to start new projects.

Had to get an electrical issue resolved that failed in home insurance inspection. Michael Corley was able to order the parts needed for me and sent me the report fast that I need to send to my home insurance. Very professional and friendly. And I really liked that he carried his own shoe covers when entering my home very respectful. Good experience!

On time as scheduled. The new service took longer than expected. They experienced a few setbacks but kept marching on. Competed the service in one day. I had one issue with the work. Their office scheduled someone to remedy the problem within a few days. The issue did not interrupt the electrical system. I will call them again for further work.

Quick and excellent service. I had an electrician from a different company come out to diagnose an issue with a lack of power in a bedroom. After several hours, he identified an issue with a neutral wire but couldn't determine the location without cutting into the drywall to locate it.

Hoping to avoid the added expense of drywall repair, I called John Goudie Electrical. So glad I did! Von and Michael C. arrived on time, quickly identified and repaired the issue, and cleaned up afterwards. They were courteous, clearly explained the issue, and suggested possible future work to improve the safety of my electrical panel setup. I was pleased with their work and would use their services again.

John Goudie Electrical Contractors installed a level 2 EVSE in my townhouse today. They arrived spot on time, were totally professional, and did great work. I could not be happier with the installation. They made sure everything was working before they left, made sure I had all my questions answered, and left my home looking like no one had been working there at all.

Despite being a newly built home, one of our garage doors and landscaping lights had stopped working. Additionaly, my husband and I wanted to add sconces in two rooms.

We reached out to John Goudie Electric and they were excellent in providing a quick quote and scheduling an appointment on a day that worked with our schedule. They also provided guidance and suggestions on adding dimmers to our lights, which we greatly appreciated!

They did an amazing job installing the sconces we chose, and fixed the issues we had with the garage door and outdoor lights.

Going thru a kitchen remodel. Had a dedicated microwave circuit installed, converted an electric cooktop to a gas with existing wires to supply new cooktop and downdraft with 120 instead of 240.. We recently purchased a home in MD. We are from out of state, and looked on Google to find an electrical contractor to help us get the electricity on at the home we had purchased.

After the service I received today it was almost a requirement I made of myself to review this company. I called in today close to tears at an ongoing issue I had with my breaker and a appliance, and was on my second new dryer within two weeks (three weeks worth of dirty clothes and three messy kids, you can imagine my frustration). I had another electrician who took a look but could not figure it out. The appliance company and installer could not either!! I did a google search and this company was one of the few that came up in my area. A lot seem to be money first everything else last...mindset. They took my call instantly! I was at my whits end return my units because the dryer kept tripping the breaker and burnt up the prongs to the other dryer. They were reasonably priced and very reassuring that they likely knew what the issue was and would help me, they came out in a matter of a couple hours!! I was expecting next day or next week. Matt was my electrician, who knew he would be the superhero of my year. He actually diagnosed the issue in the matter of mins and also found a way to help me acquire reimbursement for the installer. Come to find out not only was the appliance not correctly hooked up but there also was an issue with my breaker being improperly wired creating a safety hazard that could have been very detrimental! In a matter of mins this ONE man made my biggest frustration this year and a long term issue resolved just like that!!! I can never express the amount of gratitude I have and the quickness of the companies response. I have already referred them to two more people. MAKE SURE TO TREAT MATT GREAT :) , he is def a SME (subject matter expert) and our superhero lol. Thank you all again! I am completely blown away by this company. I contacted them to install two ceiling fans and 9 dimmer switches in my home. The electricians arrived and went right to work. They gave recommendations for fan placement and other things that I didn’t even think about. The fans and dimmers were installed with zero issues, in fact, these guys made it look like the item was installed during the building phase of my house. Not a finger print or dirt. I had these folks come in to install a light lift system. Not many companies do it and they are located in MD. I’m an hour and a half away in VA. But they came out and I really wish they were located closer to me. Their staff was courteous and professional. They were very knowledgeable. They genuinely seemed to want to be there whereas other companies I have engaged seem like they’re doing you a favor by taking your money. The crew was great. They showed up and started right away. They then continued their work until the job was finished. I saw nobody just sitting around. I did make a few modifications to the plans and they just did what I asked. They even told me to go to the store and get a light and they would install it for me. I did and it looks great. I had never even thought of putting in a light there.
Part of the job was 140 feet of trenching to run an electrical wire. They trenched it, ran their pipe and an extra pipe I provided, they missed all the irrigation lines and they did great job backfilling it when they were finished.
They even offered to repair an underground drainpipe I knew they would hit. I told them that was not part of the job and they still insisted. We finally agreed that I would repair it, if they would just leave it uncovered.
I was Leary about using them at first since I didn’t know anything about them. I’m glad I chose them now. I am now a customer of theirs for any electrical work I need. I do HVAC work and have done electrical work for 46 years, so I know the trade. Trust me, from what I’ve seen, you can’t go wrong with this company.

Terrible customer service. I’ve called 6 times in 3 weeks. First time lady was rude and rushed me off the phone saying she had to “look into it” never called back. Repeated attempts afterwards abs leaving messages no one answered. Finally on 7th try same lady answered was rude put me on hold forever. Then they came back and blamed the wiring on the builder of my newly built home. If you have a choice in the matter please don’t use them, save your time, money, and find a better company to work with.

Mr. Goudi took advantage of my elderly father that needed a new panel box and other wiring work around the house performed. My father told Mr. Goudi about everything that needed to be done, however, wrote a contract for moving an electric box and told my father everything would be completed. He charged over $4000 to move the electric panel. I paid the fee because that’s who my father wanted to use specifically and I assumed my father had the faculties to perform the task of taking care of himself. After work was completed, I came to inspect. I was so disappointed to see that the house still had bad and unused wiring in the walls. To top it off, they did not connect the attic lights to the new electric box. My father called several times and I’ve sent emails/texts to have the fix the lights that were working before they moved the box. It’s been over a month and Mr Goudi has not repaired his mistake. I feel Mr Goudi saw an opportunity to take advantage of an elderly man. I’m sure this isn’t the first time.
