We had an unfortunate experience with John. After he took a ~$1,600 deposit, we struggled for *3 years* to schedule the restoration work on our barn. Communication was sparse and promised follow-ups never came. We finally gave up. When pressed, John agreed to refund half our deposit + deliver the materials supposedly bought for the job...but he has not done so.

This is such a shame, as he seems like a capable tradesman...but please use caution doing business with him.

Excellent, reliable and knowledgeable. My 120-year-old barn needed stabilization and a new corner post as the old one (which was an inferior replacement post from before I purchased the property) collapsed from dry rot. I got estimates from three other contractors, and prices were all over the place. So were the estimates of how much work it would take. I was getting ready to empty out my savings account when I found JM Kenny's listing and decided to try them out. John showed up the same day to take a look at the problem and 24 hours later gave me a clear, detailed estimate with a very fair price. 3 days later he and his crew were on-site and the stabilization was done in a single day. John followed up over the next couple of weeks, checking to make sure the barn was settling correctly. My barn is level and stable, and ready for the next phase of restoration. I'll be using JM Kenny to do it. Thanks!
