I had a real mess from years of water damage. The water leaked in through the doors and windows. The whole back of my house had to be re done. JCM construction tore all the damaged wood out and replaced everything. They did an excellent job. No more water leaking in and they cleaned it up beautifully. Thank you Jeff and all the guys. They’re coming back to do my floors soon.

Jeff and his crew did an amazing job on our new roof. We converted from a 1950s torch-down with scuppers to a 3-tab with insulation and gutters. It was a huge job with a lot of wood that needed to be replaced. Jeff's bid was not the lowest, but we chose to go with JCM because of Jeff's honesty, integrity and recommendations from a colleague. It would be very easy for a company to "reroof" by covering up old rot with new wood and you would not know until you had a problem later. Jeff was honest about the work that needed to be done to re-roof correctly, was always available to discuss options and his pricing was accurate and fair. His crew always kept the property tidy. We will definitely use Jeff and JCM Construction for any future project we have planned.

I’ve worked with several contractors over the years and Jeff and his crew at JCM Construction are hands down the best. Jeff gives reasonable (not outrageous) bids, the crew is professional, respectful, and I feel like they’re part of our family now. I had several projects and they got it all done in a very reasonable amount of time…and best yet, they didn’t leave me part way through a project like a previous crew did.

They fixed some wood rot and gave me a beautiful new floor in my Airbnb space; they installed a new mini-split heat/AC system; and remodeled my personal bathroom into the mermaid palace I’ve always dreamed of. They are the best!! I’ll be hiring them for all of my future projects. Thanks, Jeff

Below are a few before and after pictures of my spectacular bathroom project and the Airbnb floor project.

We had two MAJOR projects completed with Jeff and JCM Construction. The first was a beach house that flooded last year. Not only did he come up with creative solutions to mitigate future flooding damage (hopefully the tide doesn't go crazy again), but he also came up with the perfect solution for installing a stairway to an area upstairs that we previously had no access to. Plus, the whole place basically went through a complete remodel. All the 1950's electrical and plumbing was updated, too. The new kitchen, bathroom, flooring, and upstairs areas are just stellar and have truly added to the enjoyment of being there.

The second project was an adjoining beach house that had basically become rundown over the years and updates, repairs, and improvements had not been made in a timely manner. Since Jeff did such a great job on the one, we all said let's do the other! Again, it was another major remodel. New kitchen, new bathrooms, finished off the basement, new flooring, updated electrical, plumbing, everything. We love it!! He just finished so we haven't "lived" in it yet, but we can't wait!

Jeff was always upfront and super responsive. As with any project, there were hiccups along the way, but he always took care of things and made it right. He always answered my calls and I always answered his.

Jeff did an amazing job with my restoration project. I was away from home most of the time and I needed someone I could trust. I was glad I found Jeff because he was excellent at communicating with me and did everything, he said he would do with no supervision. His crew was hard working and dedicated, I will hire him again.

Jeff did an amazingly clean, precise, and quick repair to some damage to a bathroom floor. He is so knowledgeable, friendly, and communicates clearly. I am so thrilled to have the job completed and my bathroom looking as good as new! I would not hesitate to use him again!

I used them for a bathroom remodel and they were fantastic. It was difficult to make such a small space have such a large difference but the shower turned out great and both the wife and I loved it. JCM Construction not only had great guys who were thoughtful and respectful the whole time they became good friends by the end and it felt like they truly did give us discounts where they could. From start to finish the process was professional and fantastic. I can't suggest their work enough.

I read reviews stating that Jeff was communicative throughout other customers’ projects. That was true for us as well. But not only did Jeff stay in contact and was easy to reach throughout our remodel, he worked to provide solutions. Remodels always provide surprises and we had our share. But we got resolutions at every turn and love our new space. Also, Hugo and Bertin are amazing both mechanically and artistically. We would hire them all again in a heartbeat!

Jeff and his team did an excellent job for an addition interior work for us, the drywall, electrical, plumbing and tile/shower/bathroom for a 2 bed and 1 bath addition, plus a sunroom and lots of window framing. He did a great job matching the existing home, was fair, honest, a good guy, completed the project and made sure it was done right. Had a fair reasonable bid and stayed mostly on budget. I am pretty picky but he has a good attitude and deals well with customers like me. He was always reachable and spent lots of time with us going over everything which was appreciated more than he knows. We would use him again!!

Jeff and his team were amazing! I hired them after having Lowe’s completely mess up my flooring project. Jeff and his team came in, quickly got me into their schedule and worked around my crazy work schedule to get my floor done. They not only did what I asked but went above and beyond to suggest things to do to make my flooring better/ baseboards better. They also leveled 2 of my flooring areas, painted and clauked all the baseboards which Lowe’s would not do. Jeff’s team was on time everyday and when additional product was needed Jeff’s team offered to pick it up so I could avoid a delivery fee and they were there to finish things up the day after the product came in. I was shocked and impressed that I didn’t have to schedule a time for them to return. They were ready to finish as soon as the product was available. Also once the project was done Jeff walked my house to inspect the work and change anything he didn’t find up to his standards. I couldn’t have asked for more! This was the best experience I have had with a contractor. I will use them again and recommend to anyone who needs a contractor! Thanks Jeff and your team!

Jeff and his team did a wonderful job. They put in the effort with courtesy and commitment to ensure the work was done and done right. Jeff provided constant communication something that is all to often lacking in the industry.

I recently bought a home with a 32 x 16 Trex deck that was sagging. I brought Jeff in to do a bid estimate to fix in place. once he schooled me in everything that was done wrong in the previous DIY, it was decided to start over. Jeff and his crew recycled everything possible to keep within budget and still have to fix hidden problems. With a initial estimate of 1 week, turning to 2 weeks due to various hidden hiccups, the end result was a beautiful cedar deck that while slighter smaller than the original, was far better in quality and appearance. I would recommend Jeff and his company to do your next project.

This review, by far, will be the most complicated review I will most likely ever do. I usually give great detail on reviews; however, so much happened that I'm just doing a rundown!

First, let me say, Jeff, the owner of JCM Construction, made good on almost everything that went wrong when his first crew was building our composite deck, which means bringing in a second crew to rectify significant mistakes and issues. Our deck project started at the end of July 2022 and finished on September 3, 2022.

What should have taken a couple of weeks to accomplish turned out to be frustration, disappointment, mistake after mistake (pointed out by my husband), time wasted, invasion of privacy, and a ruined summer for us.

Both of Jeff's crews were polite and friendly; however, the incompetence of his first crew was outstanding.

What we wanted:
Large Trex Deck
Recessed Steps in the Middle
Set of Steps on the side

What we ended with was:
A Large Deck
*No recessed Steps like we wanted*
With a set of steps on the side

Significant issues:
1) There were no Drawings or Blueprints of what we wanted provided, which led to no recessed steps.
2) Need to be provided Trex installation instructions for proper gapping for abutment joints and stair stringer spacing (hubby printing out sections of Trex instructions and pointed out areas for them to read).
3) Miscommunications
4) No communications
5) Confusion
6) Incorrect measuring
7) Cutting corners
8) Incorrectly poured cement slabs for step landings (resulted in hitting the edge of cement and earth at the same time when stepping off).
9) Placing Miter Saw on the new deck material, tossing pieces after cutting them.
10) Some days arriving late and then leave early.
11) Promises of a completion day that came and went.
12) Excessive smoking, and although initially respectful, we eventually found numerous cigarette butts around the yard.

These significant issues resulted in the first crew building our deck lopsided with high and low points, steps to match it, and gouges and scratches.

A good portion of that deck and stairs had to come down; Jeff had to purchase more material to replace damaged ones, plus bring on a second crew.

Fast forward to today, the deck is completed, and Jeff did what he could to rectify the many issues, admitting to my husband, "it was a sh*t show," but he needed and wanted to make it right.

In our conclusion, this was not a great experience for us. We cannot say we would recommend this company; however, if you choose to use them, be excessively detailed oriented and constantly check their work.

The team from JCM is awesome. Jeff is very responsive which was a welcome change while I was looking for someone to do some remodeling on our house. He always returned calls/texts and was available with any questions. During the quote process I was very frustrated with not being able to even get people from other companies out for a bid. Jeff was able to come out quickly and look everything over. He even came back to check things again and make sure the bid was spot on.
The production phase was great as well and the team that was on the jobsite was awesome. Alan was the main guy on our project and he was great. He did amazing work and even took the time during the day to answer questions my little boys had and was just generally really nice to them and my wife. He works fast and the quality was great. They got Miguel in to help finish up the mudding and he too was a great guy and did amazing work.
This is my first experience with a construction company but I would not go anywhere else. While I couldn't even get a quote from other companies, I felt like what we paid was very reasonable for the work that was done. I would recommend JCM to anyone, they responded fast, the communication was great, they got our project done fast, and they were very professional the whole way through the project. It really says a lot about a company when you are comfortable to leave your house unlocked when you aren't home so they can come and do work.

If your looking for great customer service and high quality work then look no further. These guys and 2 steps above the rest . They are very knowledgeable hard workers That take pride in the work they do and it shows

Having people in your home working can be a bit stressful, but Jeff McDaniel’s with JCM Construction made it comfortable and easier than I was expecting. Jeff is an excellent communicator, he and his staff were always professional, on time and every effort was made to keep the surrounding areas in my home clean while the work was being done.

Our 20 year old home was in need of drywall repair in the kitchen/dining room and upstairs bonus room. We also had the ceiling, walls & baseboard of the 500 sqft. bonus room repainted. (Many angles from the dormers and 3 different paint colors.)

The owner (who has high standards), reviewed all of the work throughout the process. Anything he or I wasn’t happy with was re-done immediately, no questions asked. (Self-professed OCD individual.)You will get an extremely high level of customer service with JCM Construction. (Rarer and rarer these days!)

The flexibility Jeff offered due to our work schedules and during the
Thanksgiving/Christmas period was another huge consideration on his part, I cannot thank him enough.

I have no hesitation in recommending JCM Construction Inc., and have already done so.

These guys did a great job rebuilding my back yard deck using composit. Also scraped and repainted upper deck area. Very professional and knowledgeable, I feel lucky to have found them, the deck turned out beautiful.

Jeff and his crew did excellent work at making several repairs to our home, including rebuilding an exterior staircase that was sinking into the dirt, replacing a failed window, and addressing some water-damaged drywall. Jeff was highly responsive and forthright in his communication. He was able to get us on the schedule the project completed quickly. The crew worked efficiently and conscientiously. We will definitely be working with them again on future projects.
