I highly recommend JC Siding & Construction for your exterior siding and painting needs. James C. and the professionals of his company provided me with excellent customer service and superior workmanship. In October 2024, I called JC Siding to discuss rotted siding repair/replacement and entire exterior house painting. James visited the property and provided a fair estimate to replace the rotted siding and paint the entire exterior. James was upfront about scheduling and the project started on April 9, 2025.
The siding crew removed 30 lengths of rotted lap siding and replaced it with LP Smartside Lap Siding caulked where necessary. The texture match was perfect and this phase of the project was completed on April 11th. All debris was hauled away.
The painting crew started on Monday, April 14th and finished a complete exterior painting of the house. The crew pressure washed the home and completed all paint preparations (taping, etc.). The crew worked with me on color selection and painted the entire exterior exactly as requested. The crew cleaned up the property and removed all debris. I have received numerous compliments from neighbors and I couldn't be happier with how this project turned out.

Thank you to JC siding for the amazing work and customer service. Everybody they brought to work on my home was amazing. They kept my yard clean of debris and finished in a timely manner. I highly recommend this business.

We can’t say enough about J.C. Siding and Construction. We had our siding replaced this summer and from start to finish, the service that we were provided with was top notch. For starters, rather than dealing with sales people, we met directly with the owner James Cantrell. By speaking with an experienced professional contractor, we were able to ask a lot of questions regarding the pros and cons of different materials. In the end we were able to make our own informed decisions, rather than just being sold something. Communication throughout the project was open and honest without being overbearing and any concerns were addressed quickly. The crews were hard working and pleasant, the materials were high quality and the project was finished in a timely manner. I cannot say enough good things about James and his crew including his daughter Kayla and son James Jr. They are Professional, Hard Working and Friendly. They did an amazing quality work on my entire house siding. I had so many compliments during the process and after. I can’t say enough about how awesome James and his team are. I called James to replace the siding on my 1930’s Bremerton home that hadn’t been well cared for. In the process of replacing the siding, James found and replaced a significant amount of rotted out framing as well. His team were professional and did an amazing job through the entire process.

On top of all of the siding work, his team replaced all of the window/door molding inside the home and patched/replaced drywall and painted for me. I would highly recommend James for any work you may need, especially siding work. I plan on hiring him to replace my roof in the near future.

WoW! I am amazed at the excellent work these men did over the weekend. We asked for a wheelchair ramp and they went above and beyond to make sure that it was SUPER sturdy, but yet they took the time and care to make sure there was no rough wood on the handrail or any tripping hazards. These guys maintained great attitudes during the 2 days even though the Temps were close to the 100s. I highly recommend this company for any construction work that you way need. We had major issues with our foundation and a leak in one of our bathrooms that caused a lot of damage. JC Siding & Construction was a pleasure to work with. It was a big project! Our house's foundation is safe now and they completely remodeled the bathroom. We are so happy with the results and highly recommend James and his team!

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. From beginning to end JC was great to work with. Showed up on time for estimates and everyday they were making repairs. The price you were quoted is what you pay. No scummy business practices of charging extra later. The whole time the crew was on site making repairs they were polite and professional. I have a toddler that loves showing off his hot wheels. A couple times the workers engaged with him and that was awesome to see. I am incredibly happy with the job they did. We had them do a complete tear off of siding and reinstall Allura fiber cement siding as well as paint it.

James and his crew were great to work with. He came in with the best bid and the best ideas to accomplish the repairs and look we were hoping for.

We really appreciated getting advice in the planning stages regarding design options and materials…we feel like we got the very best materials(#Allurafibercementsiding, gorgeous Millard windows, quality gutters and beautiful Sherwin Williams paint), and were happy to remain within our budget! During the job they replaced rotted wood and trim and gave us options on how we wanted to proceed with design elements like trim and other finishing work. The gutter company and painters were on time, in budget and did a fantastic job(all arranged by Owner James Cantrell and his daughter Kayleigh).
We don’t have one single complaint and can’t believe how nice it’s all turned out. Everyone’s attention to detail and hustle every day…. JUST AWESOME! Every single interaction with Owner James Cantrell, Kaleigh, James Jr, and all the guys was a pleasure!

We recently hired JC Siding & Construction to replace the old LP siding, trim, install plywood, and paint our home. Any problems that were discovered were taken care of promptly! Our house looks brand new! James and his team are professional, dependable, and reasonable! The JC team is amazing! They were a pleasure to deal with and we’d hire them again in a heartbeat!

We we very pleased with the new dormer and window he installed on my mom's old house. She called him for windows on her new house and he was again very honest. Windows just need some caulk which he took care of at no charge. Many of the contractors we had come out for bids were really trying to gouge you. Not JC we will definitely use him again.

Hired James and his team because my dad got very sick and wasn’t able to walk upstairs to his bedroom anymore. Within a week they completed a bedroom on the main floor of the house. We needed it rushed because my dad was getting out of the hospital. They were very professional, very punctual and very low cost. They even worked very late hours to complete the project on time. I had an outstanding experience with JC Siding and Contruction!!! I had a new deck intalled! His entire crew was extremely professional, answered any questions I had and fixed any issues I had usually before I knew they were issues!! Excellent work and outstanding customer service!!

I requested 3 bids. JC Siding was the first to respond and first to visit house for estimate of total siding/trim replacement and other exterior repairs (door frame, fascia board replacement, chimney repairs and others) and total exterior painting. They had a competitive bid. I selected them due to the experience of James Cantrell, owner who personally was there, his thorough explanation, his confidence, assurance of complete satisfaction and the additional work that they perform that others don't do (flashing the bottom to ensure water doesn't damage the sheathing below). They use Sherwin Williams Emerald paint that is considered the industry best. The workers worked hard and long hours. Their communication was excellent, and their workmanship was outstanding. James visited the site frequently to ensure all my needs and questions were answered, and to coordinate any needs of his employees. All unknown sheathing damages found after the original siding was removed, were replaced with new plywood. New vapor barrier and weatherproof tape installed before new siding installed. New flashing were installed above all doors, windows, wood blocking, behind any siding joints and at the bottom of sheathing. I had curved windows and instead of multiple miter cuts, a large board was used to fit a single curved trim board. The painters had great attention to detail and did a great job. Their communication was great and keep us informed with their schedule/progress. Upon completion of work, James saw my fence that was broken, which was broken beforehand. They fixed it and didn't charge me. There were a lot of unknown damages that they fixed along with a few "nice of have items" I requested, that they fixed. I was willing to pay and expecting a hefty change order but he barely charged me for anything extra. Who does that this day in age??? No one except JC Siding and Construction. They are THE BEST and you will not be disappointed. Quality material, professional job, outstanding communication, on-time work, great price and no gouging! What more can you ask for? After I hired them, I heard several other people in the industry that told me that they were the best, which assured me that I made the right choice. I will hire JC Siding and Construction for all my future projects.

We sought many bids to replace our siding and chose JC Siding because of their excellent reputation. We are very satisfied with their work. The new siding makes our house look new. Almost a year now after they completed the project, we've had no problems. James is a great guy to work with. If any problems arise, he will fix them. We highly recommend JC Siding.

When JC Siding said "one call does it all" they mean it. My 1 & 1/2 month remodel just finished and we couldn't be happier. James and his crew were a pleasure to have working at our house. They are like family with each other. We had old siding removed, windows taken out, windows put in..some lengthened. New Milgard windows, new moisture protection, new LG siding installed and a complete paint job. Not to mention custom work along the way. Even the clean up was perfect. We found house issues along the way and JC had a cure for them all.

You will not find a more down to earth or honest company to work with plus they are super competitive. If you just trust James and his crew to do the work you will have a very professional job that will make you happy..as we are.

An Awesome job start to finish. My wife and I couldn't be happier with our new siding. I decided to go with Jc Siding because of his decades of experience and expertise. We love the Booth Bay Blue white trim, and the cedar shake under the gables was a nice touch. The owner James was responsive and understanding to all of my questions and concerns during the job start to finish. Any issues uncovered when the old siding was peeled off were expertly repaired immediately. The carpenters, painters, and electrician were respectful of my home and family. We hired JC Siding & Construction to replace the vinyl siding on my mom’s house. They also had to take down an old chimney that was starting to fall away from the house. James and his crew were amazing. The work was very professional and the house looks great. I would highly recommend this company.

Worst company ever. They take up assigned parking spots withought clearing it with the tenants. They play loud music all day. Got paint on my car. Leave sharp screws everywhere withought cleaning it up at the end of the day. When they were sawing their wood for the siding they didn't contain correctly and got saw dust all over my car, didn't notify me and left the property with my car looking like that. They left siding and wood on the side of the apartment they did not dispose of. They left exposed wire from the doorbell. Evertime we opened our screen door it would hit the exposed live wire and spark and would trigger our doorbell to ring constantly. We told the workers and they did nothing so we electrically taped it. They broke my lock for my balcony storage and didn't notify me. I feel as a company you should leave a place and tenants property the same way it was before you started work.A few workers were nice but for the most part very Un professional. Highly disappointed.

After calling 3 places to replace old LP siding, we landed on JC. Boy did we make the right choice. The first place we called was nearly twice as much with the estimate and the 2nd one didn’t want to do it as he didn’t have enough experience or crew. Although we were a bit hesitant at first, primarily because the price seemed “too fair”, and because, well contractors.
We were beyond impressed. The crew the did the initial tear down (removing all the old siding and disposing of it) then they had to sheet the whole house. (There was none before) and side it. Accomplished this in 4 days. It was poetry in motion.
They painting crew was next. Great crew again. I was sincerely amazed at how well these guys worked together. They communicated without talking sometimes

We, Kingston Christian Church, are writing this review to acknowledge the extremely satisfying work that JC Siding provided to us. The church was badly in need of having its old, deteriorating lap-siding replaced with new “Hardie” siding and painted accordingly. A Scope of Work was sent out to five different siding contractors and four different painting contractors with the unique challenge that the work would most likely be performed during the late fall and early winter.

Of all the responders, James Cantrell was very friendly, most responsive, and extremely helpful with beneficial suggestions. JC Siding was selected not only because of their very competitive proposal, but because of their positive reviews from previous jobs, their responsiveness to a challenging schedule, and their ability to take on the whole project – which included removal of the old siding, replacement of some windows, installation of new siding and trim, and final painting of the entire building.

As the project progressed, JC Siding’s workers performed their tasks most diligently and skillfully while maintaining a very safe and orderly jobsite. While having to deal with the difficulties of fall and winter weather, JC Siding maintained a production process and schedule that ensured the building was protected from the wet and cold and church visitors were not hampered or restricted in any fashion.

Throughout the entire job, James kept communications open and costs within expectations. Given the most positive experience with this project, we would not hesitate to recommend JC Siding to others, and we would definitely consider using them once again.

JC Siding and Construction replaced all siding at a project home in Lakebay. We had a rough start thanks to Covid and the stay at home order. The job started July 2020 on the date promised. I watched as the prep work began, the crew was communicative and meticulous. Then the rot repair began, and it was alot. As they found issues they dealt with them, first showing me the problem then the solution. They put flashing in all areas needed, including behind the front deck posts. The work took 2+ weeks, during some of the hottest days. The crew was super polite, hard working guys. Every single night they cleaned the entire work site. They worked long hard days to make my home sparkle. You can probably find companies that would be cheaper, but you get what you pay for, IF you want QUALITY then you need JC Siding and Construction. You will not regret your choice. You can trust them with your biggest asset, your home. I am beyond happy with the work.

10 year old home with an entire rotten wall due to poor initial construction. James and his crew were prompt, friendly and professional. They had to remove all the siding, sheeting, insulation and trim, plus do mold mitigation. The house is better than ever, and even got a few upgrades done, including outdoor speakers, lighting, and a job done right. Will definitely hire again for any additional needs.

JC Siding was the absolutely amazing. James and his team are professionals in and off the job site. They completed the job perfectly and went above and beyond to do the little extras which made the house even better. His painting crew came in quickly after the Hardie Plank went up and shot the whole house with perfection.

JC Siding & Construction conducted over 120' of siding/painting repairs, a complete 16'x15' deck replacement, and about 40 sq ft of drywall/insulation installation in my garage. The owner James was amazing. He came out to the job site for each quote. He was very personable and sincerely cared about my wife and my concerns about the different jobs. All of the quotes were reasonably priced. We had several contractor quotes and JC Siding & Construction was by far the best. The crew was AMAZING! They were skilled and polite at all times. They did great work on all 3 jobs. Anytime I had a concern, James and the crew handled it without any issues. By the time all of the work had been completed, I felt like James and the crew were part of my family. The entire crew always went above and beyond what was expected. For example, a screen door had a small cut and James replaced the entire screen door for free. Also, he did the entire garage drywall work for free. I would recommend JC Siding & Construction without hesitation. Theirs was the third bid that I received for my home residing project, and not only did they supply the cheapest bid, I was greatly impressed by the thoroughness of their bid walkthrough. James (the owner) asked detailed questions and provided meticulous context (context that would clearly have a meaningful outcome in my project results!) that neither of the other companies offered. The JC Siding crew was professional, courteous, hard-working, competent, and thorough. They were meticulous with cleanup, and if the workers had any questions, they were forthright, proactive, and always made sure I was okay with any emergent changes or issues. They made excellent recommendations re: repairs and fixes to the underlayment as appropriate to improve security and weatherization for my 1938 home. The siding project took slightly longer than I anticipated as the crew simultaneously juggled other projects, but it was absolutely worth the wait and I have a beautiful outcome that gives me great joy.
