Jacob’s Ladder Commercial Roofing and Restoration

In May of 2022 a very damaging hail and windstorm pretty much destroyed my entire roof in Lexington Kentucky. Due to an insurance company that did not want to pay Jacobs Ladder was able to negotiate payment for an entirely new roof, decking and all which now meets current codes. Final work was completed January of 2023. Now my roof which leaked into my kitchen from May 2022 through December of 2022 has ceased to leak onto my kitchen floor. Their work is so good it withstood the 100 mph plus winds of 3rd March 2023.

Hugh and the Jacob's Ladder team are fantastic! Upon purchasing a new home we discovered the roof was leaking. I called Jacobs Ladder and a few other prominent Lexington roofing companies for estimates. Hugh from Jacob's Ladder was on site within hours and spent over a half hour on the roof diagnosing the problem. His repair estimate was extremely reasonable but, as one does with these things, I wanted a couple more estimates. Two of the other companies I called never called me back to schedule an appointment. The two that did contact me took nearly a week to send someone out to give me an estimate (seems like one would want to see the roof actually leaking when trying to diagnose the origin of the leak...) Each spent around 5 minutes on the roof, failed to accurately diagnose the problem, and gave me estimates several times that quoted by Hugh.
At this point I reached out to Jacobs Ladder to repair the leak. They were back within a couple of days and Jose got the leak fixed in short order. He and his helper were polite, easy to deal with, and cleaned up after themselves. Two months and several rains later and still no leak.

A small company where the owner is on site for the installation. His team is hard working, courteous, and proud of their work. (small company...schedule ahead)!!

Sadly Hugh was unable to solve my particular, self-inflicted mess. It boiled down to a time constraint, not in any way related to the company's ability to reaolve the roofing mess I created. He did however take the time to answer my questions, give me advice, and point me in the direction I needed to go. He spent quite a bit of time working with me to helo me get a solution for my roof knowing that he wouldn't be getting the business himself.

I am a pest control operator and had a client whom had an awful skunk odor problem within their home, my client suffers from migraine headaches and the odor was bringing on the headaches. I consulted with Jacobs Ladder about this concern and the owner came out and applied materials to sanitize and ultimately remove the odor from my clients home. Great job Jacobs Ladder! I really like the fact that the owner was on site for our new roof. Everything went smooth without any issues. All deadlines weather permitting were met or exceeded! And the icing for us was that for just a small fraction more we were able to get shingles that are 50% higher quality then originally planned. Very happy customer, thank you Jacob's Ladder!

About a year ago, we had severe storms come through and lost a chunk of our roof, guttering pulled loose, lost a piece fascia, etc. We had a little water damage on the inside too. Jacob's Ladder was recommended to me by a co-worker that had recently had hail damage repairs done by them. From the initial phone call, I can't say "pleased" enough. They immediately came out and tarped. I contacted my insurance agency, and when the inspector called with a date/time, I called Hugh, and he was there at my home to do the walk through with the inspector. I am totally convinced this helped so much in identifying things that I would have never known to look at or point out. I was impressed with products used, color options, and the warranties provided. They were thorough, and cleaned up like nothing had ever happened! I would happily (and have several times) recommend them and would call them again for that kind of work, if needed. They were so knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about my home... much needed when at the time I was overwhelmed and didn't have a clue where to start. It's awesome that one call, one business, fixed all the many needed repairs!

The roof over our sunroom would not stop leaking. Many folks tried to stop this, but Mr. Hugh Johnson was the only one determined to find the cause and to take the steps necessary to stop the water and replace the roof. Once he found the cause of this issue, he developed a plan and sat down with us to discuss our options. Hugh also provided product samples for us to review and select for our new roof. The pros and cons for each product were presented--the cost, the durability, the available colors, and the warranty. After our decision was made, Mr. Johnson did exactly what he said he would do--arrived on time every day; was on the job site working beside his team; cleaned everything up at the end of each day; and completed the project in the established timeline. He took care of everything in a timely professional fashion. It was actually refreshing to work with an honest company that does what they say they will do. I would recommend Jacob's Ladder to anybody who needs repairs.

Jacobs Ladder just completed a detailed overhaul/renovation of our 81 year old building at 1300 West Main St. This building has familial history; our grandmother had a restaurant there and our father ran a service station, but minimal updates have happened in the last 40 years. To say the least, updating the electric, gas, water, heating, insulation, floors, walls (inside and out), ceilings, insulation, doors, windows, and 2 bathrooms, well it was complicated and required, experience, skill, research, and finesse. We (and everyone who passes by) are amazed and delighted with the renovation. Jacobs Ladder has also renovated and continued updating 2 residential apartments from 2013 to now. Hugh Johnson is easy to contact-maintain communication via text, phone, email, etc and professional in all documentation billing, etc. He and his co-workers are knowledgeable, experienced and professional in all communication.
