We used Integrity for a custom family room/sun room addition as well as several remodeling projects in our home. We constantly get compliments from family and guests on the quality of the work. I really appreciated how the team listened to my hopes for the projects and our budget to find solutions that met both. The project managers were excellent in communication and professionalism.

First of all, we had several bds to build a rather large room addition to our home. We were new to Charlottesville and got several recommendations. Wile Integrity was not the cheapest they were clearly The most creative in design. We immediately loved their concepts and realized the image they presented was exactly what we were looking for. We worked with Rob as our lead contact. He was very responsive to any concerns and issues we had. The end product is a beautiful room, well designed , well insulated , and structurally incredibly sound. During the building process if we had any concerns, Rob was there to address them.
Their client services manager, Robin was also available to address any issues we had. We are very pleased with the work Integrity did and highly recommend them for your building needs.

We worked with Integrity Design and Build on a conversion of the screened--porch at the rear of our townhome in Forest Lakes in 2023. We were pleased at the responsiveness and competence of the staff at every level of the project. John worked with us on changes we proposed from his original design. Robin was available all the way long for administrative and billing questions and helping us connect with Rob as the construction proceeded. Rob supervised the build and we could always count on him. An unexpected dividend was a problem after the project was completed with one leaky window. Rob made sure the problem was taken care of ASAP, no questions asked, no further charges.
We went to Integrity because of a recommendation from a neighbor, and we are glad we did.

Top notch quality, exceptional employees, and straight forward pricing that is worth every penny. Massive external house project including a new deck that we love.

We have used Integrity for two large remodeling projects and are about to have them work on a third. The first was reflooring the entire first floor and complete kitchen remodel, with a couple of tricky elements. The job was done in the original time estimate, with Rob a superb site manager. The second was master bath and closet renovation. We have friends that used another firm and had serious issues with a lipless shower entry renovation, but Integrity took all the right steps with excellent tile work. John made specialty drawers for the walk-in closet. We couldn't be happier with the entire process from upfront discussions, contract, management, subcontractor use, and follow-up on punch list. We have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so.

My wife and I can’t say enough good things about Integrity Design who remodeled our kitchen, added a shower to our downstairs half bath, and refloored the entire downstairs. My wife really wanted to find a firm that would help us choose from an infinite number of design options, so to prevent overwhelming us, Integrity met with us to understand our interests and tastes, and then provided just 3 great options from which to choose.

Another advantage of using Integrity became evident when it was time to demo and rebuild our downstairs. They have been in the business long enough that they now contract with a fantastic group of subcontractors who are experienced craftsman. Management of these subcontractors is also important, and Integrity did a superb job of organizing all with workers and keeping us informed about their progress.

In summary, we are delighted to have worked with Integrity Design, and we highly recommend them to anyone considering remodeling their home.

As you can see, our 35 year old home desperately needed a new kitchen- design and construction. We chose Integrity Design due to their unique ability to handle both aspects of the job. John created a unique design for every aspect from the cabinets to the floor to the island and everything else. The project manager, Rob, handled every aspect of the construction phase with minimal disruption, constant communication, and meticulous attention to to the work and our questions, We will definitely use Integrity Design for all future house projects!

WARNING - be careful using this company!

Not sure where to start, but this company cannot handle large projects and they completely failed in the renovation of my house and cottage. They gladly took on my requirement in Jan 2020 and it was their biggest paying job they had. You would think they would rally around that and make sure that schedule, cost, quality, and communication were on point. Didn't happen. At all. They don't use schedules, they don't inspect for quality, and communication is non existent. I insisted on having weekly meetings because otherwise they wouldn't communicate with me. I would just get invoices out of the blue for work that wasn't complete. I was also their quality control. They didn't check their subcontractors work and then would get annoyed when I pointed out issues. I had about 6 PMs over the past 16 months. The original salesman turned into the first PM then went dark. Two other PMs took over after I questioned who was in charge and they both failed miserably. They brought in two new ones who started strong with good communication and then they quickly fizzled too. The owner then decided to PM after waking up from 6 months of being MIA and that was only after I threatened to cancel the contract. I would think the owner would want to make sure his biggest client was happy but obviously that wasn't the case and it permeated throughout the company. The cottage was supposed to be done May 2020. The main house, August 2020. I'm writing this on 4/6/2021. They just finished the cottage (10 months late) and the main house is far from done (almost 8 months and counting). I terminated the contract today and it feels so good. I brought in two painting companies to inspect the kitchen cabinets that need to be redone (for the 4th time) and they both commented on the poor job Integrity did on them. Let me just say they thought using spray paint out of a can was a good idea for the cabinets. I'll be filing a complaint to DPOR this week and if they don't reimburse me for some items they've damaged I'll be taking them to small claims court.

Contact me if you want any more specifics and I'll be more than happy to warn you if you're considering using them. I have a book of complaints.

We hired Integrity to do a small construction project building a wall between two separate showers. It was an unusual starting place with two distinct showers but no privacy. The wall was build and tile installed and walls painted. It looks like it was originally built this way! The tile is a perfect match. The project was completely quickly as projected. We are thrilled with our two “new showers!” Because we couldn’t live in the home during the project integrity’s use of the BuilderTrend software made communication easy and we loved the photos posted so we could see the progress. Have already hired Integrity to do a more extensive plan for renovating our home.

Written by,, Corey Taylor: Pay attention to the contract before signing. They have a payment schedule where there's a "time and material investment range" with a "TBD** amount due at completion". So the "estimate" is not a fair assessment of what will be due at the time work is completed. My elderly mother found out the hard way. Also, apparently there is no local presence of the company except for the workers (who by the way are professional and talented). The customer service is NOT what it once was.

Integrity does quality work. You pay for what you get- prices are higher than other companies, but work is done right the first time with no surprises and they guarantee their work. We made the mistake of passing them up the first time we did repair work on our bathroom and were right back in the same place 2 years later. Didn’t make the same mistake twice!

We had our roof replaced and our front porch wood railings replaced with composite railings. Everything from the initial estimate through job completion was handled very professionally. We are extremely pleased with the results!

Pretty much a full first floor remodel with complete kitchen redo. Integrity really spent a lot of planning time on working through some complex challenges to what we wanted and their creativity and engineering really came through. Our expanded kitchen is unique, functional and perfect! Came in on budget with extras!

Integrity did a screened porch addition and deck rebuild at our home as well as painted the exterior of our home and a few other small jobs. The work was top quality. It turned out better than I ever imagined. Small delays in getting started but nothing unusual for this area given the amount of construction going on. Personally, I would rather have good quality work than timely poor quality work. I will use them again for projects in the future.

These builders were horrible. Had them refinish my basement. They were over 3 months late finishing the project and did a poor finishing job. They were very unorganized and did not efficiently use the online system they said they would update. Now, almost a year later, they are demanding that I owe them more money (saying they found an accounting error after auditing my account). I would not recommend. This copany lacks integrity!

Working during this Covid crises has placed added burdens on everyone but despite that we were very happy with the response of the workers involved and in particular, Chance Dickerson our job foreman. What a gem he is.
He made sure our home and it’s carpets/floors and walls very well protected, he and assured all would be ready for the next work day. The job naturally took a bit longer due to Covid caused delivery issues but, even at that, it was completed in a timely manner.

We are thrilled with the installation of our new steam and bath system and remodel and highly recommend all the people who had a hand in making our bathroom a reality.

Integrity did a tremendous job with the work that they did on our house. The project they took on was quite extensive but they did quality work within the time frame promised. I would recommend them to all my friends.

We have used Integrity Design for multiple projects in our house, that have ranged from both interior and exterior painting, door replacement, flooring refinishing, exterior trim replacement etc. They have always done exceptional work AND have always done things on time. They do a great job of communicating the details of a project, but before and during the work. I highly recommend them!

I have used Integrity for projects big and small since 2012 and keep coming back!

The whole team is consistently responsive and pays attention to detail. Importantly, they genuinely care about providing a quality product and work through any issues along the way. Anyone who has had any work done on a house knows that, inevitably, something 'happens' and having a trustworthy provider is immensely valuable.

We've chosen Integrity for all of our major house work across two houses:
- Kitchen remodel
- Whole first floor flooring refinished along with a section of flooring replaced to match
- Kitchen cabinets fully repainted, soft close hinges installed, and custom glass windows added to some cabinet doors
- Interior painting
- Recessed lighting project for a full floor
- Pending work on a deck

I highly recommend Integrity!

We had them do a number of projects at our farmhouse; they were great! Always on time, and worked even on a weekend to finish. They offered creative solutions to water migration and we came in on budget. I highly recommend them.

We extensively refinished and remodeled a house with Integrity. We had previously worked with someone else to attempt to address several issues, but that prior work failed almost immediately. The crew at Integrity thought things through, offered us multiple options, and came up with some ingenious solutions to several issues. The communication along the way was clear, the work progressed as planned, and the finished work looked great and has held up very well (the work is now 2 years old). We were very happy with Integrity, and would use them again.

Terrible Company John is a scam artist and so is this company. Did a 100k remodel at Lake Monticello and now going on 3 years and still problems exist. John claims he will fix but never shows up, unless you count the one time he came with his kids to beg not to report him to the contractor board. Don’t use this company. Terrible customer service and terrible work.... I would give Negative star rating if it was allowed.

Pricing questions
1. What is the average roof replacement cost for a residential home?
+-

Several factors influence roof repair cost, including the extent of the damage, roof accessibility, material type, labor costs, and whether it’s a general repair or an emergency fix. Minor repairs can start around $150–$400, while major repairs may exceed $1,500.

4. What is the typical roof leak repair cost, and how is it calculated?

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
