We hired Nelson and ICS to build a 2-story addition to our house and renovate the upstairs master bath and closet connected to the addition. Part of the upstairs renovation included a laundry room. The addition added about 300 gsf of finished space and the reno impacted part of our kitchen as well. ICS did a great job and completed everything to our satisfaction. ICS was thorough and respectful and Nelson worked with us when we made a change on the scope/finishes with costs and schedule. Halfway through the project we decided to replace our entire roof and siding, and we hired Nelson and ICS to manage that as well. Nelson was always prompt and accessible by phone, which was very important to us. We highly recommend ICS and will definitely hire them again for our next project.

We hired ICS to repair some rotted subfloor on the entryway and outside of the windows. Nelson gave a fair quote compared to a few other contractors I spoke with. Ended up adding a few other services like tiling, new front door, and plumbing changes to the half-bathroom. Nelson was accommodating throughout the process as I changed my mind and transparent in pricing. I would recommend their services.

We hired ICS LLC to renovate our unfinished basement, at the recommendation of our realtor, and are so glad we did!

Nelson is super nice and genuine, and we always trusted him and his team in our home. Throughout the process, I felt like he really wanted what was best for us, providing us with creative suggestions for alternatives when problems arose (as they always do when renovating a 100 year old house!). He also took care of all the permitting headaches that are notorious in PG county, which was a huge relief for any homeowner.

The team did very high quality work, including aspects that we didn't originally have in the scope (i.e., completely rebuilding our stairs, refinishing our old exterior door) with no extra hassle or expense. Nelson had a lot of helpful design ideas, but the cost was significantly lower than the many overpriced design & build firms in the area!

While scheduling communication w/ the subcontractors wasn't always the most consistent, I think that's par for the course with pretty much any construction project - the important thing is Nelson was always responsive when we raised questions or concerns. We are so pleased with the final results, and I would gladly recommend ICS for your future renovation project!

Super Professional. I am so happy with the results. The crews that were sent out did an outstanding job setting up,completing the work, and cleaning up. No trace of construction left behind, with one exception, a beautiful residence.

We hired ICS to remodel our kitchen and master bath and we are so pleased with the results. Everyone who works there is so nice, and they were always very respectful of our home. They kept the job site clean and organized which made it easy for our family to work around while living in the home at the same time remodeling was going on. They are very quick to respond and were always effective in resolving any concerns that we had. Going into this we were nervous. You hear so many horror stories about contractors, its scary!! But we can’t say enough good things about Nelson and his crew!

We just underwent a massive renovation that included a basement, 3 bathrooms, a kitchen and several other smaller things (closets, built-ins, etc). The ICS team practically built us a new house!! From start to finish, it took 3 months which is exactly what we were told- and we even added a bathroom after we started. The crew arrived every day, on time and ready to work. Nelson himself was here almost every day as well checking in on things. They were professional, courteous and cleaned up after themselves every single day. The “job site” was always clean- they didn’t leave tools laying around or paint cans/drop cloth, etc. That was important to us because we still had to live here through everything and have 2 young children.

Just like any renovation, we ran into a few hiccups as we started demo with electrical, plumbing etc. but Nelson was there every step of the way to explain things and guide us. We never felt like we were being pushed into anything we didn’t need or want. They even helped with design ideas, layout and recommended things that we would have never thought of, and we love it all.
It was very apparent that our job was important to Nelson and that he truly cared about the work that was being done. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement. Even our dogs loved them!

We are sooooo incredibly happy with our new space!!!! 10 out 10- highly recommend. We will be using them again!

I contracted Nelson to repair 2 doors to our shop in Gaithersburg in July 2019. When they made the initial repair, I had to ask them to redo a couple of things on the doors because it wasn't installed correctly at the time. It seemed to me at the time that Nelson and his team didn't know what to do when it came to installing door closers.
About a month ago, one of the doors' top hinge broke, and I called Nelson to ask him if he could check out the door, hoping there would be a warranty on the door.
Nelson did not respond to my text with video showing the defect for a week. When I nudged him a week later, he promised he would come by the following Monday. After not showing up on that following Monday, I followed-up since he never even apologized for now showing up. He promised to be there the next day. He didn't show up the next day. Another week later, I ask him when he could come by. He still has not answered back.
Nelson will gladly do an installation or repair even if they have little experience. But his business is failing on the most important aspect: standing by his work, selection of materials and keeping his word.
I would never recommend using Nelson and his team to anyone else.

I contacted this company after having 3 different companies come look at my kitchen, they all quoted me really high insane prices to have my kitchen remodeled. Finally I decided to call ICS and the quote they gave me beat the rest. Not only did everything end up being affordable but I am in love with my new kitchen. So happy to be able to show it off for the holidays.
