IHI installed a new egress window in our basement. The work was done in stages as weather and their schedule permitted. Overall, the job was done well and on budget although we had to deal with the left-over window well as well as concrete dust in our brickwork on the exterior of the house.

We were very happy with the work done by Inland Home Improvements. We had two new doors installed and the siding replaced on one side of our house. Dan, Randy, Mike, Troy and crew were prompt, courteous, efficient and completed the job with excellent workmanship.

I have asked Inland for help over the past 7 years including work on my house and a rental. Replaced windows, both roofs, doors and sliders and repaired the inside from a leak in the roof prior to his work on the roof. He has been very competitive in his bids and the work is done completely. I needed him to be a "General contractor" for a loan I had with the bank and he was flexible in doing that. Dan is very knowledgeble and provides insight to his recommendations. I have never had an upsell from him.

Egress window was done very efficiently and professionally. I recommended them to some friends who then hired them to do their egress window.

Started out great. We had them complete a egress for our basement. The person who came and dig out the window hit a sprinkler line and cause water to shoot out everywhere. After the very young guy stat in his car for roughly 30 plus minutes waiting on what to do finally decided to come tell me what was going on and asked to shut the water line off. I tried to shut the line off but was not strong enough due old pipes. My husband had to leave work to come home and turn it off because the guy didn’t want to help. After snapping the line they finally fixed it. Long story short now after a month they are coming back asking us for the money to fix something there employee broke. Poor poor customer service! Stay away from this company and there poor communication.

I have had IHI redo my roof, build a new deck and put on a front door over the last year. Pricing has been fair, and quality is great. They have been nothing but professional. Working with Dan, Randy, Les and the others has been a great experience. Highly recommend.

Service questions
1. Should I stay home during roof replacement?
+-

It's not necessary to stay home during roof replacement. Roofing work is noisy and can cause vibrations inside the house, which might be uncomfortable. Most homeowners choose to leave during major parts of the project, but our team ensures safety and keeps you updated, whether you're home or not.

2. How long does roof replacement take?
+-

The timeline for a roof replacement typically ranges from one to three days, depending on the size and complexity of the roof, weather conditions, and material type. Larger or more intricate roofs may take a bit longer, but we always aim for efficient, timely completion.

3. How to hire a roofing contractor?
+-

To hire a roofing contractor, start by researching local companies with good reviews and proper licensing. Request quotes from multiple contractors, verify their insurance and certifications, and ask for references. Always ensure you get a written contract that outlines the scope of work, timeline, and payment terms.

4. How to check if a roofing company is legit?
+-

Check if a roofing company is legit by verifying their business license, insurance, and local certifications. Look for memberships in professional associations, read customer reviews, and ask for recent project references. A legitimate company will be transparent and provide all documentation upon request.

5. How to choose a roofing company?
+-

When choosing a roofing company, consider their experience, customer reviews, warranty offerings, and quality of materials. Make sure they provide clear communication, detailed estimates, and a solid portfolio of completed projects. Local expertise is also a major advantage for understanding regional roofing needs.

6. How do you know if your roofing contractor is ripping you off?
+-

Warning signs that your roofing contractor might be ripping you off include vague contracts, pressure to pay large upfront deposits, lack of proper documentation, and unexplained price increases. Always ask for itemized estimates and written guarantees, and avoid contractors who avoid answering your questions directly.
