Hunt Home Improvements do not disappoint when you contract with them for renovations. This is my first time as a homeowner and we took the massive step to renovate along with buying a new home and I am so glad I went with Hunt Home Improvement. Kris and his team have been communicative and thorough from the very initial appointment until the very end. Kris is very detail oriented and knowledgeable -- speaking to him, you feel confident he knows what he is doing and you know you can trust him. He is honest and straightforward, will help you turn your vision into reality. There is no gimmick or performative vibe when you interact with him, just an honest individual with knowledge, experience and skills.  He has been consistently available for all questions and challenges every step of the way, problem-solving until we are satisfied. He responds promptly and takes care of issues and the project as if it was his own. Our renovation included knocking down a major wall, redoing the kitchen and bathrooms, plumbing, painting and flooring. I am very glad we chose Hunt Home Improvements and will definitely be going to him for any future projects -- highly recommend.

We are super impressed and very grateful to Kris and his team for their amazing work. We initially thought it was be an easy condo renovation but we ended up running several major issues. Kris is not only pragmatic but he is a very creative problem solver. Any time we ran into an issue he always found a solution or alternative. Everything came out looking better than we could have ever hoped. We are first time home owners and couldn’t be happier with all the work that was done. Kris (and his son Cody) were fantastic to work with. They responded to my inquiry quickly and were out fixing it the next week. I needed a large heating/AC unit removed from an exterior wall on the second floor of my house which left a ~4'x2' hole. Kris removed the unit, put in support boards, patched the cement board siding, painted and sealed the siding, added insulation, and patched the drywall all in one day! They were very polite, kind, and most importantly, CLEAN! They also patched some cracking plaster and drywall. Highly recommend and will be using them again for future work.

Kris did an outstanding job remodeling our basement and opening a stairwell. The stairwell was a particularly complicated project, but Kris and his team proved themselves to be determined problem solvers. And now the stairwell and basement look great! I'm happy to give five stars for this job, and I'd look forward to working with Hunt Home Improvements again in the future.

My project involved drywall repair, new hot water heater installation, new fan installation, new toilet installation, whole house interior painting, and other miscellaneous fixes and repairs. This was in preparation for selling the property.

As an individual, Kris Hunt was exceeding professional, diligent, responsive, and determined to meet my goal within the time I was allotted given uncontrollable external factors.

Speaking to quality now. The quality was superb and truly indicated that I hired a professional. All previous expectations I had were entirely exceeded. The pricing was fair and I voluntarily added to what was originally quoted because the quality, and timelines, was literally that exceptional.

Awesome experience. My project involved new windows, cedar siding and a new metal roof for my log home and detached garage. The finished product was exceptional. Kris Hunt surprised me with details I hadn’t considered, exceeding my expectations. He personally jumped in on a bad weather day to keep things moving and managed quality control throughout the project. I appreciated the attention to detail. I received good value, high quality and no one got hurt on this big project. I am a very satisfied customer.

Very professional. Kris worked til the job was completed. The job was complicated by not having all the parts necessary to complete the instillation as not all the parts were included. Kris went over and beyond as he went to get the necessary parts and came back to finish the job. He did such a good job that I requested him to bid on another more involved job.

Kris was very professional and figured out the best way to do what we needed… two safety rails … going out back and from garage … we were very satisfied !

Had a water leak in the basement, needing trim, baseboard, and doors replaced. Kris did an excellent job with the replacement, was very communicative about the whole process (when he would arrive, cost of materials, etc.) Had the repairs completed very promptly.

Chris did an excellent job on my bathroom. He purchased the exact flooring I approved. Requested another quote. He let me know when he was arriving and he cleaned up when he was finished. I would recommend him for any job someone may have.

The recent storm blew some siding off from my house. I submitted a quote request through Google and got a call from Chris within minutes of submitting. He was able to come and repair it within 24 hours and the repair looks great! He also took the time to fix the gate on my fence, which had been broken for some time. The price was great and I'm very happy with the repairs. I 100% recommend Hunt Home Improvements and will call him first for any repairs I need in the future!

RARE FIND! Best in Lexington hands down! If you are looking for affordable, professional handyman this is the guy. He was easy to communicate with came on the SAME DAY, that’s uncommon. Answers the calls himself, not an assistant didn’t have to get transferred back and forth. Takes pride in his work, won’t leave until it’s done to your satisfaction. I was afraid of hiring someone online due to the lack of experience, but Hunt gave me confidence he knew exactly what he was doing. He did not rush to get the job done. I am truly impressed, will definitely call him when I am need.

Kris did an initial estimate on fixing a tile and grout and mold problem in our bathroom which was acceptable to us. They got it done and, when it wasn’t as involved as he initially thought it would be, he brought the price down to honestly match materials and labor. I’d recommend them.

Kris and family removed a play set from my backyard. The set was removed within 48 hours of contacting this firm and the team was very quick and neat.

Kris is a pleasure to work with! He came out to see about my roof leaking and evaluated the situation, made suggestions, answered my many questions and checked the whole roof. He then came back on another day to fix my door that had swollen due to the water leak. He knew what he was doing and took the time to correctly do the job and got my locks working again. I contacted Hunt Home Improvements to remove large pine limbs that came down during our most recent ice storm. They responded promptly, gave me a reasonable estimate for the work involved, cut up and hauled away the branches (some of them large and heavy due to accumulated snow), and exceeded my expectations for completion of the job. I am happy with the work they performed and will use them again as the occasion arises.

He removed large branch that split from tree that landed on my roof. He was very professional and honest on what needed to be done.

We are so thankful for Hunt Home Improvement! They were able to perform tree/limb removal for us after the most recent ice storm, and they were amazing! They worked around a small tree that we were hoping could be saved without damage, they cleaned up the mess, and they got rid of all of the debris. Had a leaky roof. Contacted Hunt home improvements via Angie's list on a Friday. Mr. Hunt got in touch with me Saturday. Due to my wor schedule, he was able to investigate my roof problem on Sunday afternoon. He gave me an idea of what the problem probably consisted of and an estimated cost. I decided to hire him. Though it was a cold and drizzly day, he worked on the roof for 4 plus hours. He charged a fair price I was satisfied with. The next day it rained at least 2 inches. There were no leaks! I will hire Mr. Hunt for future projects.

We hired Kris Hunt “Hunt Home Improvements” to build wooden steps over our front porch cement steps. We had been told the cement steps would have to be removed first, which in its self is a pricey expense, but Kris assured us he would be able to build the steps and HE DID!! Kris is very professional and procise about his work. Along with his crew they had the steps completed in just a couple of days. When something came up that would change the job we agreed to Kris always explained why before he moved on. They always cleaned up as they went along, there was no debris left when they finished the job. My husband and I couldn’t be more pleased, the steps look FANTASTIC !!! Kris rebuilt our deck and fixed rot issues associated with the old deck. We are very pleased with the level work and timelines in getting work complete. We plan to use Kris for additional projects.

Kris and his wife fixed my sliding glass door lock. They ordered the part and helped fix the lock. He also set up my ceiling fans in three rooms. Each room was wired different and was a challenge. He worked late hours on multiple days to get the job done. Both repairs were not easy jobs and they got the job done!

Kris and his team cleaned, prepped and painted the exterior windows and doors of our mostly brick home. Along the way he noticed several other small items around the house that needed repair and took care of those as well within the original price. He got the job done quickly and left the workplace clean. He was very professional and easy to work with.

Kris helped repair drywall where we tore down a wall and fixed some cracks in the ceiling. He did a very thorough job and was meticulous about cleaning up afterwards so there was no mess left for us. I would recommend him for future jobs.

Kris was hired as Fox and Hound Condominiums maintenance supervisor. The job entails any HOA repairs for 72 units. The work he has done has been exemplary. Kris is knowledgeable, very thorough and dependable. I would highly recommend him.
