We called on House Doctors Handyman of McLean to provide us with an estimate for removing a completely stripped screw from a shower curtain rod that we were unable to remove without fear of damaging the underlying tile. The estimator arrived and, within about 10 minutes, was able to remove the screw and did not charge us. The next time we need any repairs around the house, they will be first on our list to call.

They were excellent. They did a great job an on all three jobs . It was difficult but they did wonderful jobs. Thank you. I will do any further work with pleasure.

I am very happy with the work House Doctor did on my house in January, 2025 and recommend them without reservation. They repaired miscellaneous broken stuff: replaced closers on a storm door; patched a large hole in a drywall panel; installed a new light in the laundry room, installed a shower head and grab bars in two bathrooms; put up a new air return grill; rehung accordion-style closet doors with new pins. I got three bids for the work, and House Doctor’s proposal stood out, both for clarity and for the price. From owner Rich’s first visit to the completion of the job everything went very smoothly. His job proposal, broken out by individual jobs, was clear in all respects. He was very helpful in identifying materials which I could get on my own. The technicians who did the work arrived as scheduled. They (Carlos, Mauricio and Byron) did their work with care and answered every question I had completely. Everything was done neatly and they cleaned up completely. All the work was excellent, and the dry wall repair was outstanding. They matched the existing paint, and it’s like the hole was never there. Rich stopped by to check the work and make sure I was satisfied. It was a pleasant instead of a stressful experience. I intend to call them again when I have work to do.

House Doctors did a wonderful job repairing my kitchen lazy susan. First, they tried to order needed parts but found that they were no longer manufactured. Then two "doctors" spent an afternoon working on the lazy susan, despite lack of appropriate parts. Success! The lazy susan now works perfectly. I would rely on House Doctors for any household repair needs.

Showed up on time. Good value pricing. Fixed a motorized shade that needed new batteries but up 20 feet. Recommend them.

This company is incredible! It is the first time we called them, and the estimator came quickly and gave us a very reasonable estimate for the work. The work was done on the first date we were available, and the work was done perfectly! The worker was very pleasant and knowledgeable about all aspects of the job. We will certainly use them again. The work was done on our front door and surrounding area, which entailed some sanding, repainting, taking down our outside light and then reinstalling it.
It was a small job, but this company does all sizes of jobs.

Excellent communication. Fantastic problem solving. Rich and his team are amazing. I've used their services three times, most recently to get my condo ready to sell. When our longtime handyman died, I called House Doctors to get an estimate on two small repairs: to fix or replace an exterior shutter that was falling apart; and to repair a hole in our bedroom wall. Can't recommend House Doctors enough. I called Rich back in October 2023 to look at an issue with our gutters, and he not only did that but also advised us honestly on a few other potential issues around our house. House Doctors came out and replaced both our front and back gutters a couple weeks later and did a great job. As part of that work, they also replaced and painted some of the fascia board under the gutters. Fast forward to May 2024, and our HOA lets us know that we need to apply another coat of paint to the recently replaced fascia board (we were satisfied with the painting that House Doctors did originally, this was just a peculiarity with our HOA). I don't have a tall ladder, so I called Rich to see if there was any way he could have someone come out to paint it for us. Not only did he agree to do it free of charge (even though he was in no way obligated to do so), but he got it scheduled in less than a week. The job is already done, and the new coat of paint looks great.

Rich looks out for his customers, and House Doctors does a great job. Would absolutely recommend them and will be using them again for future house needs.

This is the first time I engaged the services of House Doctors Handyman of McLean. And, given this experience, I plan to engage them again and again. Our house is a bit old and there are many opportunities for repairs to the house. I think I have finally found a good company I can trust to make excellent repairs on those type of "handyman jobs" and repairs that do not require a complete reconstruction (although these Doctors might do those, too). In this instance, I had a hole in the ceiling drywall that needed to be repaired because of a leak. The leak was fixed, but the plumber does not fix ceilings. Enter House Doctor Benjamin Carrillo. He did a fantastic job. You cannot tell that there was ever a hole in that ceiling. And he left the area so clean afterwards; no debris left behind. Excellent work!

House Doctors just adjusted multiple interior doors that didn’t close/latch properly and installed two large window shades for me. One shade installation required diagnosing a problem and moving existing brackets, while the other required modifying some trim prior to installation. The process of getting an estimate and scheduling was very easy. The guys were professional and did a great job. Will be using this company again soon for other jobs. Highly recommend.

When we found there was a hole in the back corner of our home we thought it would just be patch work. It turned out to be water damage that had affected the entire corner of the house. They stabilized the area and removed and replaced the rotted wood. They even fixed the source of the problem.They painted and the work looks great. It was a big job, but they saved our home. They are great and we can't thank them enough. I wish I could remember all the names but Angela (office) and Hector(job supervisor) Manuel, Byron and all the crew were wonderful!

Bayron and Manuel of House Doctors of McLean did repairs to the walls and doors of our large 30-year-old shed/workshop. They replaced rotten siding, fascia boards, and completely rebuilt the two doors. Then they repainted the entire shed. It was supposed to be a 2-day job but weather made it a one day job. They hustled. Cleaned everything up when they were done. Would recommend both of them. Bayron has done a job for us before and I’d hire him and or Manuel again in a heartbeat!

House Doctors of McLean helped us with several projects including the installation of some basement windows, front door and portico repairs, installation of a new dryer vent and some exterior painting which was badly needed. The owner, Richard Marzan, met me to review the jobs and was very honest and straight forward with his advice and estimate. The workers were efficient, experienced and friendly. They requested our input regarding finishing details and had us walk through the job at the end to make sure we were satisfied with their work. They were wonderful to work with, did an amazing job on all the repairs and even came back and fixed a shelf on the wall that I wanted a little higher. We have been dealing with House Doctors and their outstanding workers, lead by an outstanding owner for almost 15 years. At least 4-5 projects with work done in an outstanding manner. Working with the owner Rich Marzan is a joy. He is patient and when he recommends something you never feel like you are being taken advantage of. His team has, so far, completed 3 work projects on my home. A 4th will be Monday 14 July. The workers are top notch from start to finish and clean-up. If you have a problem with a project that he has signed up with, he will resolve it with you being happy about it. Last but least I must include Ms. Angela, which I have dealt with from my beginning with dealing with House Doctors, that make all of the scheduling, pymt. etc. with a kind voice, always ready to help you and patience. Patience is important will dealing with people when you are doing business with them. Especially old people. I are one.

Fourth time I have used House Doctors with the same results. Price, quality, communication and overall professionalism are as good as it gets.
