Called Anthony John Construction after a bad storm which destroyed shed roof they had just put on in March. Tracy was very compassionate. I asked if they could refer me to a tree removal company. I contacted Anthony John Construction to help replace the wooden brick moulding around the front windows of my house that was starting to go bad. They replaced them with PVC and painted them to match my exterior. Not a big job in the scale of things, but it's something I needed to have done. They were quick and paid attention to detail. I am a happy customer.

There only reason I am giving Anthony John Construction ANY stars is because the original man who gave me an estimate after Hurricane Helene, his name was Noah, was very friendly and helpful. I was originally quoted just for repairs to my roof, a window, a downspout and a lounge chair that was damaged. Noah called me and asked if I wanted an entirely new roof. He said he could ammend the original quote and ask my insurance company to replace the roof instead of repair it. I said ok, and the amendment was made and approved. A couple of weeks before the scheduled work date, I called the office and told Karen, the only person I had spoken to in the office, that I would no longer be able to afford the entire roof to be replaced, and I no longer wanted them to complete the job; I wanted them to only do the repairs. She offered financing but I don't have good credit at the moment, so I wasn't able to take advantage. She was supposed to speak with the office manager and get back to me. She didn't so I expected repairs not a new roof. The job was scheduled for December 23, 2024, and supplies were dropped off on my driveway the Friday before. The day of, I left for work before anyone showed up to work on the roof but I came home at 4:30 to see I had an entirely new roof. When they were finished, I saw one guy barely tapping the ground with what was apparently a magnet, however, I collected well over 200 roofing nails around my home in the grass, on the driveway, in the window boxes, etc. A few days later, it rained, and over 100 more came flowing out of my downspouts. That was the end of December. I started getting invoices for payment when the rest of the work hadn't even been talked about let alone completed. It wasn't until the second week of April that someone called me to fix my window. He came and removed the window replacing it with styrofoam for two weeks before he brought it back. The downspout was finally fixed as well. I then received an invoice that included the lawn chair which my insurance paid to replace so I had to have that removed before I could pay them and finally be done with the whole situation 6 months later. The entire experience was very frustrating, and it was drawn out much longer than it should have been. Horrible communication. No accountability. I have nothing to compare it to, but I wouldn't hire them again.

Anthony John’s Construction handled our project after Hurricane Helene. I can’t say enough how they helped us thru every aspect of the job. Found AJC based on their reputation as Top Deck Builder in the area. We had some delays- (weather/Holidays etc..) but worked with Heath through it all. We couldnt be happier with the final results! I would absolutely use AJC again!

We have used Anthony John Construction Company many times on several properties. I have also recommended them to friends and family. They are dependable, honest and have the best prices. Heath has always been available when I have called him or texted him. If you need any roofing, gutters or home remodeling, call Heath!

All and all, I would recommend AJ Construction to anyone in the same boat as us: a hurricane blows a tree on your house and crushes your roof causing a good deal of damage inside and out. It wasn’t perfect but it wasn’t a nightmare either.

Anthony John did good work, the inside was repaired, the outside and roof were repaired, and, very importantly, AJ Construction worked with our insurance company (USAA) to make it as seamless as possible.

My major complaint was that there didn’t seem to be a main point person for our entire project. Since it involved framers, roofers, drywallers, painters, insulation, siding, flooring, interior finishing, etc, it seemed like I was talking to someone different every time I called. It was also a little difficult in that we basically moved out and were out of state for most of the repairs.

A couple stand-outs that pulled things together were: Kayren, who seemed to be the de facto point person even though I think her main role is to work with insurance and Nate, who took care of finishing things up.

Very kind and extremely prompt when replying to my questions. Several people made sure my experience was the best possible.

I recommend Anthony John Construction for replacing windows. Even though it took 6 months to replace 12 windows, it was well work the wait. Cray and his team were professional, cleaned the work areas and addressed all of my concerns. Paying the invoice was easy. I am very pleased and thankful for my beautiful new windows!

what can I say. this is the best experience i’ve ever had with any type of remodel.We gutted our kitchen and Gary and Christian came in and completely renovated a 1996 looking area to a new modern 2025 place of joy .

Anthony John Construction remodeled our Center in 2023. We consistently get rave reviews from clients and guests about how the center looks. This year our back patio gutter pulled away from the middle of the roof line and was buckling. We called them for help. They came out, assessed the situation, explained the problem and offered a solution. They offered to be the team that would maintain the gutter twice a year. They sent Beaver Roofing & Gutters out to fix and clean everything. The gutter looks brand new, and they did a fantastic job cleaning up after the job. Thank you to everyone who helped us with our gutter issue.

Once the weather stopped having hurricanes and then snow, they completed the job quickly and we are very pleased with the results. Our insurance usaa had Anthony John construction come out for our bathroom claim. They seemed so competent and walked us through what would be done for the repair. It has now been 7 months and tons of things not done properly. We have gotten the run around. Have seen no one since October. Was told a new claim had to be put in with insurance. It wasn’t done until January and multiple phone calls to them. The worst follow through and they just lie to you over and over again. They never did the job the way they told us from the beginning. Poor quality of work and left water damaged wood and vanity like no big deal. Didn’t even reinstall carpet just laid it down and now we step on nails. Worst ever! Don’t hire them!

Getting an appointment with any construction after a major storm is difficult as expected, but after several delays mainly due to high winds and rain, Anthony John Construction did get an excellent crew out to complete the contracted work. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a dependable and honest contractor.

This company is simply amazing and very trustworthy! I own a rental property and the roof was severely damaged during Hurricane Helene. I live in San Diego so I had to coordinate roof replacement long distance. These guys were quick to come out and inspect the damage, they scheduled roof replacement quickly and they had Adam on site to look for hidden damage and for quality control. Adam took pictures and stayed in contact with me during the inspection and during roof replacement. They did an AWESOME job and they were fair on price. This company is trust worthy and does NOT take advantage of customers. They are quite the opposite and they support Veterans! I highly recommend them!

Hey folks!! This company is TOP NOTCH!!! I've had so many different jobs with them and None have been disappointing. This time they completed the Fence repairs left from Hurricane Helene and added another fence gate. Additionally, installed my Outdoor TV Shell so we have a TV on our patio. David and Heath over AJ Construction were great to work with. Even with the storm they were able to finish our project in a timely manor. The work looks great and doesn't stick out like a sore thumb like some major repairs seem to do at times. Their pricing is also vary reasonable. Already looking for them to work on future projects.

Staff were easy to work and communicate with, including through text messages. They gave us a fair inspection and price and answered all our questions along the way, making accommodations as needed. The subcontractors were equally efficient. Keith and Cray are great!

Average rating. They were great in the beginning, communication was great. But once our roof was done the communication stopped. We had to contact them about our other work. The gutter people just showed up one day with no notice after we had emailed Beaver about getting our job completed. Then nothing for weeks finally a call to get things completed. The roof work was good but they did have to return to correct some things.

What a mistake!!! Definitely not the same company I trusted before with my deck project. I couldn’t trust AJC to keep their word on starting my project. After three days of perfect beautiful weather, AJC were a no show on my roof/fascia project!! Each time I called to check on the status of my project, I could here commotion in the background and laughter. I should’ve known then that I was making a HUGE mistake. I WON’T this mistake again or recommend AJC to others EVER again.

They did a fantastic job!! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. After pipes burst in our home, they came in and not only rebuilt our many rooms that were affected , but also did a gorgeous remodel of our bathroom. They handled the insurance quickly and helped guide us through that process. All the site workers were professional and experienced and the main contractor was fantastic to work with.

I noticed a gap under the edge of my roof in early 2022: an AJC representative explained that molding was missing, and I contracted on February 3, 2022 to have this installed. AJC's high ratings and Summer's radio interviews led me to expect great service.
When a piece of this trim separated, I sent photos to AJC on May 2, 2022, and expected a prompt return call. It never came, in spite of promises and excuses spanning 4 phone calls (all on my part). I finally got an appointment of 2 pm on May 27, 2022. I expressed happiness that I would be able to leave work early and meet the appointment. After waiting until after 4 pm, I called and found that the job was done AT LUNCH TIME! No phone call to let me know they were coming. This cost me lost work hours for nothing: totally reprehensible and appalling!
As paint peeled and the trim sagged, it became obvious that we weren't dealing with wood. A request for a refund and a report to BBB were brushed off. But what did AJC install?
On June 11, 2023, there was a thunderstorm. A piece of the sagging trim actually broke off: the reverse side indicated that it was MDF. This readily absorbs moisture and is an indoor use product. Many months later, and only after reporting to SCLLR, did I get a refund: about 2 years after installation! While I haven't seen the report, the SCLLR inspector indicated AJC (license number 120986, Say Jay, Inc.) was assessed a fine for this.
I have yet to receive an admission of fault or explanation as to why this happened: if any of the subsequent personnel from AJC recognized and reported that this was obviously the wrong material, AJC did not own up to it.

The crew arrived bright & early, ready to work, quite personable and very attentive to details of our property's idiosyncrasies. They completed the work succinctly, cleaned up after themselves as they went and informed us when they were done. An excellent job, we recommend them highly!

I was extremely pleased with the new siding Anthony John Construction installed on my house. The work was excellent, exceeding my expectations.
I would like to draw special attention to Cray Lucas who did an exceptional job in leading his team, ensuring that all work was accomplished to my satisfaction. Cray even joined in on the work the last couple of days to ensure that all would be completed on time. He demonstrated a sound knowledge of what needed to be done, how it should be accomplished, and led his team through to completion.

Wonderful workers who did the job well and quick. I do wish there had been better communication regarding when they were going to arrive, though.

Corey was our roofing specialist, we couldn't have asked for anyone nicer or more helpful. The insurance company was awful to deal with, but Corey made phone calls and met with people until the situation was resolved. The roofers showed up on time and cleaned up all the debris. They showed up on time and cleaned all gutter screens, blew all leaves and straw of our roof. Then corrected a water flow issue by installing an additional downspout in the same visit. Reasonable pricing too.
