I found Don Hoover and the entire Hoover Roofing crew to be extremely professional, considerate, and highly efficient and skilled. They helped us out in a true emergency where we had multiple leaks coming through the roof. They gave us an affordable solution, sealed and painted the entire roof of the house for a very reasonable price for such an extensive job. I was very happy with the job – it held up beautifully which we got to experience the next time it rained, which was very shortly afterwards, and Mr. Hoover gave me a call and checked personally to make sure that the work was holding up. in addition, he was sensitive in the financial arrangement and was helpful in that regard as well. I would highly recommend Mr. Hoover and his company for any roofing job.

We used Hoover Roofing to repair part of the roof in the rear of our house in PG County, MD a couple of days ago. Water leaked from the roof and onto the floor, and we were starting to have humidity issues. Hoover was very professional when it came to drafting the quote and explaining the issues (which involved badly installed plywood under the roof to begin with, prior to our purchasing the home, which had rotted badly over time). Hoover did the work professionally and on time. The same evening, a big thunderstorm came through, but no water leaked through. I would definitely recommend Hoover for this type of repair.

Mr. Hoover responded quickly, provided a detailed, line item estimate for each part of the proposed job, and updated me regarding any unforseen addition(s) throughout the project. His crew worked efficiently, finished the work quickly, and completely removed the remains of the old roof when work was finished. I'm glad to have contracted Hoover Roofing to eliminate my roofing headaches.

Mr. Hoover was great to deal with. Ours was a slate roof repair. It was not easy to find someone who was experienced in repairing slate roofs. Mr. Hoover was very responsive, provided a detailed written estimate, answered all of our questions, and was very personable.

He explained everything to us in detail and when out of scope work was necessary, he provided an estimate in writing.

Back in 1998 Don Hoover replaced our roof and did a first rate job. A decade and one-half later, a tree fell on our house and destroyed the roof. The contractor who repaired the roof left us with some problems. Don Hoover came back fixed up the roof. No problems since.

This company is the best. We were roof and even gutters in terrible shape and this company did excellent job in very reasonable price.

Don Hoover had many positive reviews on Yelp and Google, so my husband and I decided to hire him to fix the leaks that were happening in our DC condo. BIG MISTAKE. He said it was a flashing issue under the door located on our balcony which was allowing the rain to leak into our downstairs nursery. Initially he told us the price was 4k and then he lifted the door threshold and said we needed to pay 11k. After a few rains, we are STILL having leaks in our nursery. We also noticed some rain coming in under the door where we had the flashing done. Long story short, we had other experts take a look and the issue was a badly made door and the flashing was a poor stop-gap idea. This company may be okay for simple roofing issues, but not anything beyond that. Don Hoover did come back to check out the issue, but basically said the leak was not due to his work. Bottom line: We paid 11k to Don Hoover and our ceiling is still leaking.

Hoover Roofing were wonderful fixing our roof. They came out in record time which was much appreciated and did a great job. They were fast, easy to work with, and overall I highly recommend.

We have used the services of Hoover Roofing, LLC on two occasions and both times were very pleased with the experience. The first work they performed was replacing broken slates and installing new flashing on our eighty year old slate roof. Hoover Roofing was recommended by a contractor who was doing several renovations on our house and he spoke highly of them. He was right. From our introduction forward they were professional, courteous, timely and helpful in explaining options to the needed work. They arrived on time and when finished cleaned up so their having been there was not noticeable.
Our second experience was this past spring when we needed repairs to both the roof and gutters due to the heavy winter sows. They came a day after we contacted them, assessed the damaged plus pointed our some improvements that could mitigate problems in the future. Their cost estimate was detailed, understandable and supported by photographs showing the damage and required work. They were willing to start when we were; however, the entire project was delayed by insurance issues. They were patient and worked with us in a timely manner on adjusting some elements of the project as well as pointing out shortcomings of what was proposed by the insurer and their contractors who at times were not nearly as responsive.
Once we finally got everything resolved they set to work and again they
were professional and timely. If they said there were starting at 8 a.m., you could count on them being there with their equipment ready at 7:55. They installed upgraded snow guards. replaced cracked and broken slates, waterproofed around soil pipes and installed new gutters and fascia boards. Again they left nothing behind and even managed to leave then blooming flower beds undisturbed.
We certainly will use them again, if necessary, and recommend them to others. They met all expectations of a quality service provider.

Although our roof and gutters are far too high for me to ever see, Don Hoover provided us with a set of pictures that covered the entire job, before and after, and gave us the assurance that the jobs were completed to a high professional standard. Work included replacement of roof and gutters, front and back Crews arrived on time, workmen were clean and courteous, and the jobs proceeded rapidly despite the perilous heights involved. If the need arose, we would employ Don Hoover's company again, and would gladly recommend him to others in need.
