There was excellent communication throughout. When they started they completed the tearoff, disposal, installation of the new roofing, and clean up in just 2 days, best price and warranty too. I can't say enough positive things about the team at Hood Canal Roofing. They not only were the most responsive when it came to delivering an initial quote -- that quote and final estimate were the same (which often does not happen). Brian's team were super professional, worked so hard and left our property as clean as they found it. We were very impressed that not only did the crew spend the time cleaning up, but the foreman signed off before they all left and Brian himself came over to make sure it was up to standard. We asked Brian from Hood Canal Roofing to do an inspection on our roof for insurance purposes. He arrived on time and did a very thorough job evaluating the condition of our roof. Excellent service and communication with us throughout the process. The only company of the three we contacted for an estimate that flew a drone over our house to examine the condition of the roof. Very highly recommend. We had a rather urgent issue with our roof, and I contacted a dozen different companies for price quotes. Most other companies felt like they were just trying to sell me something (or even upsell, though we were very clear that we did not have the extra funds). Hood Canal Roofing was one of the few who actually seemed concerned with our damaged roof. They worked with us extensively to make sure the problem would be fixed, as soon as possible, while also doing their best to work with us and our budget.

We ran into some unexpected pitfalls during the process. But even then, the owner himself came out to work with us and make sure the new price to fix the unexpected damage wasn't too costly.

The job was done in less time than was expected, and looks amazing. The day after the roof was installed, heavy rains hit, and it was such a relief to see that the roof was secure and not leaking anymore.

Everyone on the job site was polite, professional, and respected the property. Cleaned everything up quickly after the job was done, and everyone I spoke with was incredibly friendly. What could have been an incredibly traumatic and stressful process (as our roof was literally rotting over our heads) ended up being a relief, as I know the job was done well, and for a fraction of the cost of some of the other quotes I was given. I had a shockingly bad experience with Hood Canal Roofing. We’re getting bids for our roof remodel and was given the phone number for Jake from this company by a neighbor. Called the number in the middle of a weekday and when he answered I simply said, “Hello, I’d like to schedule an estimate for our roof please.” That’s literally all I said. He responded by swearing at me, calling me a derogatory term and hanging up on me. Double and triple checked to make sure I had dialed the right number and I did. I honestly don’t get it. Who does that?! Shared this experience with the other companies we’re getting estimates from and found out that this company was started by disgruntled workers who left another company after stealing a lot of their equipment. Not sure why this happened but I will forever tell anyone considering going through this company exactly what my experience with them was and encourage them to steer very clear. As unprofessional as it can get!

Hood Canal Roofing just installed a new roof on our house. Great team and great job. Old roof removed,, new one installed, and everything cleaned up in one day. They are local to North Kitsap and everyone was so friendly and down to earth. Very reasonably priced and we had 3 bids. I would highly recommend them or at least let them give you a bid.

Hood Canal Roofing replaced the roof on my house and separate garage in February 2024. Both Brian Foley and Jake Garland were truly a pleasure to work with. Their crew was professional, timely and detailed. They completed the job in two days, and did an excellent job from start to finish. I had a tree fall on our garage and damage a small section of the roof. The repair was a small job but needed to be done quickly to avoid further damage.

I reached out to several local roofing companies and only three got back to me.

Hood canal roofing had me impressed from the start with their excellent communication and general responsiveness.

They got the job done in a timely manner and the fix blends perfectly with the existing roof. They also arranged for a gutter company to replace the damaged gutter which saved me the headache of trying to find another contractor to fix this.

Bottom line they did a great job. They were efficient and competitively priced.When it's time to re-roof the house I will be calling them.

After having a horrible experience with a local roofing scammer (all too common these days), we were referred to Brian with the Hood Canal Roofing by an acquaintance of ours. I was impressed with Brian’s thoroughness as early as our first meeting. He spent a lot of time on our property, discussing the project and patiently answering my questions. In the fall of 2023, his team did a complete reroofing of our house. Our roof is large (approx. 55 squares) and fairly complex as it is steep and has quite a few valleys. They did a beautiful job! I have to add that we have multiple mature plants around the perimeter of our home (including two vines), and all of those plants remained intact. I’m an avid gardener and I probably cared more about the plants than the roof itself (because of the damage the previous “roofer” did to our plants.) They also did a very thorough cleanup, which was greatly appreciated. If you’re looking for a responsible roofer who takes pride in his work, Brian is your man!

I got approximately ten estimates for our roofing project. I learned more about roofs than I ever thought I would.

I had Hood Canal Roofing come out to do an estimate. Jake came out within a couple of days. I liked him as he was polite, articulate, and answered all of my questions. I received an estimate within a couple of days. During this time, I was still having more estimates performed.

Another roofing company came out. This companies estimator asked me who I'd had come out so far. I had mentioned Hood Canal Roofing (who I was going with at that point). Surprisingly, the estimator began saying some not-so-nice things about Hood Canal Roofing. Things like (in essence): "Oh, they're a new company... they'll be out of business within 5 years* and *yeah, they speak really well and know what to say, but...* So, needless to say, it gave me pause.

I didn't feel quite right about what had been said, and I called Hood Canal Roofing back. I asked some investigative questions without throwing the other company under the bus. My questions were answered by Brian Foley...the owner. Brian was informative, polite, and fully answered my questions to my satisfaction.

Ultimately, after all the estimates... I went with Hood Canal Roofing. What a great choice! I am so pleased I followed my instinct. Brian is a great person to do business with! He communicates better than damn near anyone I know. He kept me in the loop. He answered every single question. He was the best price. If I had a question that stumped him...he said so. Then he did the homework to get me an answer! I loved that.

We had some hiccups along the way as my home is a manufactured home with a .86 pitch. This is a very low pitch, which means shingles were not an option. My roof also required a structural engineer to get involved because we were making some changes that added weight. My roof also required a mechanically seamed panel (metal). Additionally, it required extra hoops to jump through because Mason County permitting office doesn't deal with manufactured homes. L & I does the permitting for manufactured homes. However, Brian didn't throw his hands in the air and run away! Nope. He dug in harder, and with a little luck and patience, we made it through the permitting process.

The actual roof tear off and install took two days. The rest of the process leading up to installation day took nearly three months... no fault of Hood Canal, but more L&I rules/regs.

The tear off/install went beautifully. They were on time, efficient, clean, and did an AWESOME job. They left our property blown and tidy and because of Hood Canal Roofing... we have a beautiful new roof!

I would highly recommend this company to anyone! I am very pleased. The work ethic and extra time spent running things down due to my weird roof was very much appreciated. Them not giving up when things got hard was also very much appreciated!

Lesson learned...follow your gut and don't always run with the info a salesperson is telling you. Had I not followed my intuition... I probably would have been really regretful.

We had somewhat of a difficult job for our roof replacement. There were limited material options due to a very low roof pitch (0.86%), and red tape dealing with the L&I permit. Brian was an absolute CHAMP through the entire process. He kept us up to date on everything and communicated promptly and very well everytime we contacted him with questions. Brian and his crew were very professional and efficient during the entire installation. We are extremely pleased with the end result and the entire Hood Canal team. I highly recommend!!

Brian and his crew at Hood Canal Roofing were such a pleasure to work with and did a fantastic job of installing our new roof in a timely manner and at a very reasonable cost. Before work began, Brian walked around the house with me and we discussed all the details of the work to be done, and how different challenges would be taken care of. When some unseen plywood damage was uncovered (not necessarily unforeseen as Jake did a great job at inspecting the plywood in the attics - but over the living room we have cathedral type ceiling so you really can’t see that till the old roofing is removed), Brian was great at communicating, kept me informed and in the loop about what the cost might be, did his best at keeping those costs down, and made real improvements with proper venting to keep the problem from happening again in the future. Brian maintained that same professional level of communication when replacing our skylight, and really throughout the whole process. He really made an effort to do his absolute best for us, and treated us like friends as well as customers.
The crew were fast and efficient, and very thorough in cleaning up afterwards… old cedar shakes are kinda messy :) but you could hardly tell they had been there except for the beautiful new roof! Brian even had his guys do a roof modification on our garden shed outbuilding that an old cedar tree had been pushing up and against for years, and fixed that in a jiffy!
All in all we had a great experience with Brian and Hood Canal Roofing and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a new roof or roof repairs!

Btw we also needed new gutters, which was one of the options offered, and Brian set us up with a company that got the job done quickly and efficiently and now the gutters look great too!

My daughter used this company. I can't believe how hard they worked on her roof. They got it done so quickly and did such a great job. They put extra effort into making sure the debris was picked up so that my grandpups didn't get hurt after they left. I haven't used them but next time I need any roof services ,they are on the top of my list.

We used this company for our roof replacement. They were quick and professional. We had tongue in groove that needed to be replaced. Jake took us aside and explained why it needed to be replaced as well as gave it to us for cost so that it wasn't as expensive for us. He came back to collect his check and to paint a small spot for us. While painting the small spot, he realized our gutters needed a little help. Jake sprung into action, grabbed a ladder and cleaned our gutter for us! Really can't say enough good things about this company. Easy to get ahold of, easy to work with, product is great.

This company was awesome. We called about 5 places and Hood Canal came in at the lowest of the bids. We were a little skeptical but after talking to Jake, we were not worried at all. He installed premium product as well as matched another company's coupon for free gutters at the time! We had 3 roofs replaced as well as gutters. I figured it was gunna take 3+ days. His guys got it done in a day and a half. I was shocked.

I had Hood Canal Roofing recommended to me by a couple people. Jake came out and gave me an estimate. He was very professional and quick. When I decided to go with them for the job, Brian gave me a call to set everything up. He was awesome! Best customer service I’ve ever had with any business. They were able to complete my roof in a day and it looks amazing. They went above and beyond for me and I am so grateful I went with them.

We had a roof leak after a severe storm and needed our roof inspected for damage. Jake was very responsive and returned my call the same day. He scheduled our inspection quickly and showed on time as agreed upon. He had us provide information and photos to make sure he came as prepared as possible. He performed a thorough inspection and even helped us remove all of the tarps and material from the roof after the inspection was complete. He provided the inspection report the following morning. I would highly recommend Hood Canal Roofing.

Words cannot express our gratitude for Brian, Jake, and the crew who worked on our home. We had a rather unique situation with our roof and you wouldn't believe the amount of time and energy that Brian (the owner) invested into solving this issue. No one else would have done this so generously. Not only that, but he ended up SAVING us over $1200 in the end. How many contractors voluntarily and proudly save you more money than what you were initially quoted - and (btw) offer follow-up and additional safeguards he certainly didn't need to offer? It is very clear that he CARES about his customers. The whole team cares.

As for the work: They were timely, clean (left no trace), respectful of the property, and extremely efficient. When Brian opened up the roof and figured out the hidden problem, he went out himself to two hardware stores to find the part needed to get the job done with the absolute best impact. He walked us through the entire problem-solving process so we would feel completely in-the-know, and we were more than confident in the work done.

(FYI: This was an issue we tried to solve for a long time, and we talked to multiple contractors about it, and they were the only ones who figured it out...and got it RIGHT! No more problems!)

On project day they ran into some unexpected roof issues, had to modify scope and materials, but worked late to get the job done and cleaned up nicely! Brian and Jake did a fantastic job patching up my roof. They came highly recommended, and I am very pleased with their work. I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten half the annual rainfall since I moved in Halloween weekend - no issues at all, and my gutters are no longer bursting at the seams with water cascading directly onto my house.

Friendly and professional, they even came all the way out to my place in BFE and worked in the dark after another job kept them longer than planned, just because they said they would be there. Thanks guys.

They were able to complete our roof in about 8 hours. Great quality. We only had to wait about a week to have it done. Probably would have been quicker but the snow put it off a few days. I would recommend this company
